Re: Flounce
It's been an honour to have you on the Council. Totally understand when you need to prioritise, however. Hope things are okay!

Re: Flounce
As is MCS protocol, following Krasniy's resignation, Junior Ryker has been promoted to the position of full Council member. As a result, we are now looking for a new Junior for the second time in as many months. Interested people - and we had quite a few last time - should submit their applications by October 29th (one week's time), in the form of a response to the following:
Applicants should, in no more than 500 words, summarise why they believe they are a suitable candidate for the Junior Council member position and specify any individual skills which could come in handy for any prospective future projects.
Good luck, and yes, if you applied last time, I don't mind if you copy-paste your previous answer!

Re: Flounce
Well hot damn, didn't get much of a trail run, did I? I'm saddened that I didn't get to work more with Kras and hope to do as well here as he did.
Re: Flounce
I would like to apply for the Junior Member vacancy.
I believe that my nine years of experience in the Micras sector — first in Shireroth, then, in no particular order, Natopia, Antica, Craitland, Safiria, Kyō-Jima, Ashkenatza, and Hoenn, among others — along with my experience on the staffs of the FMS & MAS, and as the administrator of Micras' Discord server, have properly and uniquely equipped me for a job with the Micras Cartography Society. Additionally, I believe that my vector graphic skills would be beneficial to the Society for prospective future prospects.

Re: Flounce
In fairness, we have such a high turnover of councillors that the junior is usually a full councillor within 4 months these days...

Re: Flounce
Why Ric?
– long experience in the sector, knows the map in and out (who's been where, who hasn't, etc.)
– somewhat likeable (no major problems with anyone), I get on with virtually everyone, friendly, etc.
– never goes AWOL, never goes inactive, always active in the sector
– LOVES maps
– full nazi when it comes to rules, reading rules, enforcing rules, applying rules, arguing rules
– enforcer
– good negotiator
– been on the council before, knows the pressures and responsibilities of membership
– doesn't do karate
– doesn't do recwar well (so I have to rely on negotiations instead)
– super approachable
– likes pixels
– love projections, especially the arctic one
– happy
– budding psychologist (can use hypnotherapy and Menelmacari-style psionics to get you to vote against this application)

If it ain't Ric, it ain't much.

Re: Flounce
A majority has now been reached among the Council, and we are pleased to announce that Ric will be joining us in the position of Junior!
We would also like to extend thanks for the interest of the other applicant, Hālian, who was unfortunate this time around...
