Re: Elections
It's been long enough now. There seems some interest in keeping this going.
For reference, the five board positions according to the convention are:
i. The Chair of the Board of Trustees, responsible for chairing debate of Board as well as bringing proposals for discussion. He shall be tasked with preserving the spirit of the Anunia ruleset.
ii. The Judicial Member, responsible for selecting and preserving the standards of a Board approved recwar judiciary.
iii. The Unit Costing Member, responsible for maintaining the unit costing lists and providing guidelines upon direction from a judge.
iv. The Common Law Member, responsible for maintaining the Common Law of recwar (non-Annunia included) and providing it upon direction from a judge.
v. The Ordinary Member.
Montague has asked to remain in Unit Costing, so as far as I'm concerned he's won that election unopposed.
Guido and Ailin, as you were both interested and nobody else was (I'm discounting the nominations for Troy and Ardy until they come here and say they want a position themselves), you can pick what you want from the remaining positions. If you can find another two willing members to fill the remaining two positions, that would be nice. If all the members could actually do what their position entails, which not all have in the past, that would also be nice.
Otherwise, I officially pass the convention onto you guys. Do with it as you think best.

Re: Elections
I am interested in both Common law and Judiciary and would happily do either, leaning toward common law. Guido?

Re: Elections
Fantastic. So now I have to ask, is there already a repository of common law rulings?

Re: Elections
I don't believe Ardy ever got around to it. You'd be best to start with the current war, while it's fresh in the judges minds.

Re: Elections
Understood.
I also need links to any official Anunia Convention sanctioned rec wars that are archived outside the Micras boards...if any still exist.

Re: Elections
None do, that I know of. So you're fine to just use the archives on this forum.

Re: Elections
I'm not standing again, I was a terrible ordinary member.
Now I've said that there is no way I'm restanding.

Re: Elections
Being a judge in that last "war" has inspired me to never, ever use Anunia again and stay as far away from this system as I can for the rest of my life. Good luck, chaps; you're gunna need it if you want to make this system remotely viable, because nothing that occurred in that mess was even close to being handled by the current rules without major interpretation.

It really wasn't that bad, and I fear you might be speaking from a somewhat biased perspective

Re: Elections
It required much more involvement than anyone had expected for sure. But it wasn't that bad I suppose - with my (lack of) military skill...

Re: Elections
Not quite sure what you mean by biased perspective. I have no personal weighing in on which side won or what happened to that island whatsoever. I know some of the Anticans and think they're okay enough chaps, but I can't think of any time I favored them unfairly.Guido Zambelis wrote:It really wasn't that bad, and I fear you might be speaking from a somewhat biased perspective

Re: Elections
Oh no, I don't mean that, rather that it sounds like you're saying 'Anunia shouldn't be used because I don't like it'.
