There ought to be some way to measure culture in nations. Having lots of activity is nice, but it doesn't neccesarily mean those that are more active are better nations. Obviously activty is a hell of alot easier to measure than culture, but maybe this could be combatted by having a culture committee, who review cultures and national identitys and give nations a culture rating based upon how much culture and identity they have.

Maybe, I don't see any reason why the committee couldn't provide some basic advice in building culture. I suppose just through allowing nations to submit new works to the committee, it would help in tracking micronational cultures.Good idea James, it would be good to do this, maybe the committee could help with building Culture too?

A committee would create a set of guidelines to dictate what is and what is not classed as culture, prior to judging.dr-spangle wrote:But then you need to think of what you class as an item of culture, is a passed law counted as culture instantly, is a wiki article culture, et cetera
Google definitions states;
To put it in micronational terms, in a simple manner, I suppose you could say culture is anything that has been created with the intention of development of national identity. When you think about it, most micronational cultural pieces would fit comfortably under that description. Languages, images, wikis, literature, historical simulationist accounts, current simulationist accounts, etc.Values, ideas, and other symbolic meaningful systems that are transmitted and created by a group of people.

It wouldn't be very difficult at all to make a system on my forumlist so that items of culture could be uploaded but would you could say, their flag and every flag of every section of them as a cultural item? and some nations group up multiple bits of culture and some would split it up to raise the number of peices

But that's what I meant, I don't think it would work just counting pieces, I think we'd need a panel, or committe, to judge items that are put forward, and then for a rating to then be awarded.

Humans will get bored with it quite quickly, too ...
