I have revised our claim
Jeremy has presented evidence that he had a prior claim to the island, of which I was unaware.
I have revised our claim accordingly.
So what are we fighting about?

Again, in character thread.
Alright. King Edward, the weapons you sourced are ground based C-RAM systems that are not even finished field testing. Further, the quote you referenced refers to the Centurion LPWS. A completely different system which only has the Phalanx gun in common with the CIWS.
However, in the interest of bloodlust, I will concede that you hit the warning shots so long as a compromise in future actions is considered.

Attention please! We interupt normal service to bring a special announcement from the MoMA Public Relations Department! Please pay the utmost attention as is your patriotic duty to do so.
"For the honour of the Imperial Republic the Ministry of Military Affairs has requested that all loyal subjects of the Kaiser rally to the defence of the homeland against the aggressors of Bosworth, lackies of Britannia that they are.
The County of Lesser Zjandaria has heeded the call! At 2318hrs the 1st Strategic Bombardment Squadron of the Elwynnbrigaden launched four V-2 Shahabs against the bestial crimminal regime city of Lannion. Our retailation for the attack against the Sparta and the Brutus has been to fire into the very heart, the very lair of the fascist beast! My feelings - as usual - we will slaughter them all."

The cobbled streets of Lannion shook as the missiles struck the quaint city of 30,000. Women screamed as debris rained down on the thatched roofs which flanked the narrow roads and clouds of black smoke billowed upwards from the impact sites in the centre of the city. Fires spread rapidly amongst the tight-packed wooden houses and embers drifted from roof to roof bringing terror to the population who attempted to flee the carnage, agonised screams tore the air as unlucky civilians burnt to death in their homes: entirely families killed where they had so recently lived in peace.
The city sloped gently upwards from the gates in the south to the towering cathedral of St Joan de Arc in the city centre, its spires still casting a long shadow over the mayhem in the streets below having survived the initial blast without any major damage. In fact the only part of the cathedral that had been affected by the attack was the huge bell which hung in the main tower which had cracked in the shock wave of the explosions and now it rang with a horrendous clangour reminiscent of the chimes of doom as women and children fled towards the Holy building seeking refuge within its thick walls. By now the buildings closest to the impact zones had collapsed hurling embers and ash into the air and aiding the spread of the blaze which seemed to have engulfed nearly the entire city.
The few Royal Wardens set to guard the usually peaceful city rushed from their homes in the shadow of the gatehouse below the rippling banners of the King and immediately and resolvedly hurried into the ever-thickening smoke. As they went further towards the city centre they began to pass bodies smouldering in the streets and heard the tormented shrieks of children who cried for their parents as the four walls which had previously seemed so safe collapsed under the weight of Shireithian aggression. Finding most roads blocked by flame and debris the Wardens soon decided to head for the cathedral which was quickly filling with the panic stricken citizens of the city as the Abbot fruitlessly attempted to bring some order to the ever swelling crowd before the altar as the dreadful toll of the bell still deafened the crackling of the fire, the smoke from which now obscured the sun and cast the city into darkness.
The light of the dancing flames illuminated the stained glass of the cathedral as the citizens of Lannion fell to their knees before the altar and prayed to God and St Joan to deliver them alive from their ordeal. The city burnt but the people yet lived; the Royal Rose still guarded the city from on-high above the gates: freedom remained.

King Lachlan was woken from his drunken slumber by his Sherothian Ambassador attempting to call him. He tried to ignore the ringing phone at first, however eventually picked up, hoping he could go back to sleep afterwards.
"This better be bloody important!" he yelled down the line, still angry at being woken up.
"Sir, there's a war."
4 words guaranteed to sober King Lachlan up. Well, mostly.
"Who Started it?"
"We think Bosworth."
King Lachlan wanted to ask who that was, but thought against it as it didn't seem very royal like. "Get Lord Lawson"
Since the last war, things had gone well for Sir Lawson. After being promoted to Field Marshal, he went on to buy several pubs in different cities. When the King had reformed Novatainia and introduced Nobles, Lawson was one of the first granted a title and lands. He was now looking forward to his retirement and spending the rest of is days in Poetville, the sight of his first great victory.
"Lord Lawson? The King has sent for you." Said a Major has he brought Lawson his morning tea and newspaper. It didn't take Lawson long to figure out why he was being sent. He mealy picked up the Newspaper. The front page contained pictures of battleships, with the Headline "WAR!!!"

(OOC: I would point out that the Sparta and Brutus didn't actually fire any shots before. But since Edwards seems to think we did and things are progressing.. oh well. They still fired first. )
RS Sparta, International Waters
Captain Charles Ren had taken the opportunity to retire to his bunk for a spot of shut eye whilst the stand-off continued. For a glorified troop transport it seemed that the Holton was “hideously well equipped, and insanely over-armed†as the XO had so memorably put it.
The two frigates, Sparta and Brutus, continued to shadow the Holton whilst maintaining a respectful distance, approximately seven miles, so as to remain outside of the maximum effective range of the modified Albion class vessel’s main armament of two 30mm KCB guns. There had been genuine alarm when the missile launchers had been spotted on the superstructure but MoMA intel had done its best to reassure the captain that these were anti-air only. By that reckoning the Holton remained safely within the range of the Sparta and the Brutus combined firepower of six 5"/54 caliber Mark 45 guns (three each, two aft – one forward). The matter for now had been referred to the diplomats to resolve, which meant, naturally enough, that the statesmen were now screaming at each other like little children. Few men realise with what wisdom the world is run.
Charles was just beginning to feel at ease and as his mind wandered he started to contemplate whether he would be disturbed if he were to leaf through the latest edition of “Shirebunnies†– it had a centrefold featuring the “Mango Girlsâ€Â, that had to be worth a look in.
He had just reached out to pick up the said magazine (advertised for “discerning gentlemenâ€Â) when the intercom blared.
“Captain! Captain this is Comms. You’re needed in the Command Centre.â€Â
The Captain naturally startled, allowed a profanity to slip his lips before beginning to scrabble around for his trousers.
A few moments later the Captain was stumbling into the Command Centre, which unlike the Bridge, was the tactical nerve centre of the vessel.
“Well? By all the demon fish of Balgard what is the matter?â€Â
The Comms Officer saluted briskly and passed across a teleprint.
“Flash traffic from Shirekeep Captain. It’s from the MoMA.â€Â
The Captain read the signal with trepidation.
+++URGENT+++
MOMA TO IRS SPARTA/IRS BRUTUS
AGGRESSOR VESSEL TO BE TERMINATED
ORDERS TO BE IMPLEMENTED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT
+++END+++
‘And this,’ mused the captain, ‘is what you get for putting a psychotic Babkhan in charge of Imperial Defence.’
“Ok, lets do this quickly and efficiently. Use the first three rounds to get the enemy’s range. Adjust your targeting solutions to the fall of each shot. Once you have her zeroed pump twelve rounds into her hull. No fuss. Let’s get this over with.â€Â
“But Sir,†interrupted the XO, “what if their minigun hits our ranging shots?â€Â
“Well then – keep firing until you have your solution – the buggers can’t block all our shots.â€Â
Just then there was a loud boom heard.
“Must be the Brutusâ€Â, the XO noted.
“Ullr is keen.†Remarked Charles laconically. “He should have waited for me. Well lets get started.â€Â
"Suddenly radar tracked multiple incoming contacts - missiles! Rapidly the order was given to fire chaff and turn hard to port in a despereate effort to deflect and decoy the oncoming sea skuas."

For once I'm not going to defer to my Kaiser.
EVERYONE STOP. This is NOT the way to do things.
Bosworth started the problem by picking an orbat out of thin air. If Bosworth want to be in the war, great. Then lets officially have the war, get a subforum on MCS, pick a ruleset (Anunia) and judge(I'm fine with Monty or Pete), everyone post orbats, and then we can continue this fight properly. Without a clear charter, orbat and judge, it's just so much godmodding, or merely an expedition.

Um, I did. I felt it needed more emphasis.
And Lachlan, remember, I've got Shirithian citizenship too ...
