King Hasan I of Bosworth
Officially, as there was a period where Bosworth and Shireroth were both ruled by the same leader, there should be some official investigation.
As Shireroth was there first, for the period of time Bosworth was being ruled by the Kaiser, Bosworth technically did not exist, as it was in direct breach of the charter and effectively rendered its membership temporarily null and void.

That would be entirely true if the Charter was actually the document by which the MCS is organised. It is being rewritten and the Charter as it stands does not stand as the law of the MCS. But I think you are on the right lines there anyway...babs wrote:As Shireroth was there first, for the period of time Bosworth was being ruled by the Kaiser, Bosworth technically did not exist, as it was in direct breach of the charter and effectively rendered its membership temporarily null and void.

Whether the Charter is being re-written or not is irrelevant. Partially because, 'the Charter is being re-written' has been spouted periodically for months and until it is released the old Charter stands.
If it isn't the law of the MCS then why on Micras is it labelled as a Charter.

I see. Of course, Babs, sorry, I didn't mean to question your indefatigably superior knowledge, you would know all about the technicalities of the Charter's existance given your position as... um... your role of... errrm... give me five minutes, I swear I know this one.babs wrote:Whether the Charter is being re-written or not is irrelevant. If not, I and probably several other Shirerithians would get upset.
Does anybody see a connection here? Because I think I see a connection here. Let's see what we can do to handle it in Shireroth.KingJeremy wrote:Meanwhile, Scott, Bosworth have been saying "Screw this, we're out" for weeks but people still keep posting

Given your supposed reputation then it's disappointing to see you defend the old Charter or try to use it as a reference point when really it is mostly a guideline to Members as to what the rules are.babs wrote:You can rely upon me to bring you an accurate regurgitation of rules when appropriate.

Monty, I understand our influence would be curtailed. I always saw any thing about Hasan being King as a temporary step - your forced surrender would then merely cut out the week or so of peace required in between ...

The cynical side of me says "This is what happens when we hand over control of our country to Babkhans."

Babkhans excel at three things: Law, War and Intrigue. And I believe both Ardashir and Myself have proven to make Shireroth a slightly more interesting place as a result of our successes in these fields.
As a result of this WAR, Duke Harald INTRIGUINGLY proclaimed me King of Bosworth. Despite the fact that Bosworth has dishonoured the treaty of LAW, we have kept its promise.
Regardless of this, the Charter does state that I cannot be Head of State of two micronations. As such, I have abolished the title of "King of Bosworth" and any office which is Head of State for Bosworth. Further, I have declared myself "King of The People of Bosworth". As a result of there being no Head of State for Bosworth, King of the People is the highest office in the nation. This proclamation has also been recognized by Duke Harald. And is now complicit with the Charter.
The result is that I remain Kaiser and King but head of state for only one nation as Bosworth does not have a head of state.

I'm sure the Kaiser, in his infinite wisdom and micronational experience, sees this as only a very temporary step until peace negotiations are concluded.

Andreas in his wisdom is correct. The proclamation is a temporary measure and will NOT be permanent. I've told Jeremy this on a number of occasions and from what I understand, he's relayed this to the other "Britainian" forces.
