A Conclusion
Gentleman, as there appears to be as much chance as the Queen of Night's Repentant Children has in Balgurd of Shireroth getting more land in the present political climate*, how does this sound as a conclusion to the war?
Each of the major non-losing participants get land, Shireroth get's their lovely names on, since we can't claim the land for ourselves, and probably a peace treaty is in order. If you were so kind as to let Shirithian businesses operate within that territory and produce Bread and Apples, as the Resource Map demonstrates are there, that would be a bonus, but I'm in no position to negotiate as only a Minister of Trade, so I'll leave that to those with the actual authority.
Note that while a similiar map has been shown to this one in Shireroth, the version above is my own idea and may not have the Kaiser's approval. But I hope it does.
*In great Shirithian tradition we'll just wait until we've outlived you all, and then get it.

We tried, Babs, but someone insisted on fighting without a charter. That being said, the war was originally started over the island, it's called the War of Redoubt Island, and just because someone decided to be suicidal and force the invasion of their Benacian land to liberate the people, doesn't mean it wasn't originally about the island.
I'll see what Josephus has to say.

No, we started the war. But we couldn't force the other side to agree to a Charter ... which seems kinda stupid, since normally it's chartered wars you can't be forced into ... I don't know ...

Our declaration of war was against New Britannia, Bosworth, acting as a proxy to cover for Britannia's very partial "neutrality", attempted to forstall Shireroth's claim to the island that was originally in question, by provocatively interposing its forces and initiated the conflict by opening fire on the Shirerithian vessels sent to turn their troop transport around.
Bosworth moreover admitted its war guilt under the Treaty of Capitulation and the continued denials of this established fact by the pretender to the Duchy of Gascony amount to a further violation of the afforementioned treaty and a justification for continuing both the occupation of Gascony and the Interim-Kingship of Kaiser Hasan until the matter is resolved by the adherence of the rebel factions to the terms of the capitulation.
