Happy Mehain from Victoria
Good Afternoon to one and all,
I am the current Secretary of State for Culture and Sport for the Kingdom of Victoria. I am here today to wish everyone on Micras a happy Mehain! The Mehain festival is an annual event and is the beginning of a new year for citizens of Victoria. It also incorporates the end of the Victorian harvest which takes place throughout October and November leading up to Mehain. During the evening of Mehain people gather in towns or cities and celebrate around a large bonfire and listen to traditional Victorian music. On December 1st citizens celebrate the passing of the harvest and the coming of the new year through gathering the entire family and enjoying the vegetables grown during the harvest. This includes such vegetables as leeks and celery.
