Greeting and a question.
Hello and salutations. I think that's a good greeting, don't you?
Silliness aside, I'm new here, getting into the micro-national scene and tinkering with an idea. A micro-national sandbox developed over time through the efforts of individuals and staff (over a forum). A place for new micro-nations, who may not be old, or big enough to be listed on the MCS map, as well as for those who desire to act out their nationalist personas.
I'm not sure if mention of this is allowed here, but since I didn't see any rules against it, I'm asking. My reason for this is two fold. The first, I have always wanted to get into the hobby, and the second, I already have a forum set up, that I originally had intended to use as a role playing site. So, I'm recycling.
Now with that said, the idea I had is very much similar to what the MCS has set up, but geared more for the new guys. Something to grow and continually expand upon. The problem is, I have no idea how this could be incorporated with MCS, as I would very much like it to be. Perhaps as a small, yet to be discovered continent, or even something bigger and more suited to the Micronational Astronomy Society. The final option, of course, would be to apply each nation within the domain to the MCS once big enough, and shown to have some longevity.
I guess the next question is, are there any questions? and perhaps any interest?

Re: Greeting and a question.
As much as I admire your enthusiasm and welcome your posts here on the MCS, you pretty much described the MCS. There is nothing stopping younger nations from chatting here, even if they cannot be on the map. And considering its only a 90 day waiting period its not exactly a large amount of time. But the MCS has no rules against nations that are not on the map from interacting here.

I have to agree with Einhorn, it's great to see someone with enthusiasm come along, but you really don't have to be on the ma to talk here. Victoria has been around since May last year and we still aren't on the map.

I considered that a few days ago - a second planet with less stringent entry criteria. Not a bad idea.

That's what I originally developed Momiji for. It's already fully mapped out.Guido Zambelis wrote:I considered that a few days ago - a second planet with less stringent entry criteria. Not a bad idea.

Re: Greeting and a question.
I'm another who has to echo Einhorn's sentiments. Anyobody can post here, from leaders of nations on Micras to individual micronationalists without any national alignment. Anyone's welcome
And nations don't have to be that old to be part of the MCS - they can claim after 90 days' existence, or even 60 days' if they get basic recognition from half of the nations on the map
Also, welcome to the forum!

Eh, I was into Japanese culture at the time. And it references a landmass on the planet that vaguely looks like a maple leaf (momiji = maple).Malliki Tosha wrote:What's up with the weeaboo name?
Here's the topographical map from 2004. This should be added to the website, since it was officially adopted, albeit mostly forgotten.

WTF? I claim Apollo Island, which happens to be literally the most awesome landmass ever in the history of MNs.

I bet it was designed to be... Anyway, I'd claim Sentinel Island if that one was already taken.

It was on the site, and you told me you would sue me unless I removed it.
