As of April 2, the Amagerian Micras Canton (St. Ann) has launched solar powered cruisers and air craft carriers as well as passenger vessels. The ships convert solar energy and biofuels into electricity, which is used to power these light-weight, carbon-free vessels. The ships reach a top speed of 50 knots a hour and provide comfort, hundreds of amenities and enjoyment. The commercial vessels are owned by the newly chartered Amagerian World Trade Company and connect with St. Ann's Bay and the Amagerian Branch of the Apollonian Railways. The ships are for sale for 3000 SCUE a piece. A brocure featuring the ships will be in the Amagerian Federal Register on Easter Sunday. The Amagerian fleet will set sale for Keltia on the 14th.

If you are interested in the ships or railways, please send a message to me via PM or on the Amagerian forum. A thread in "Micronational News" will explain Apollonia Railways.

500 knots? Are freaking insane? Hydroplane racing boats top out just over 100 knots and they have a tendancy to flip over and explode for the hell of it.

500 knots is equivilent to 575 miles per hour, as in higher than land speed record and twice as fast as the average cruising speed of a commercial airliner. You've got aircraft carriers that can pace their own aircraft seeing as they have a cruising speed of fighter jets.

...all on solar power?

P.S. It's naval, not navial.

Not even The Nordic Union's ship's go that fast, and they're fusion-powered. Unless the hull was made of some strange outer-space substance from Planet X, it would fly apart as water tends to resemble concrete at certain speeds.

Sorry. I ment 50.0, not 500 knots. That is crazy. However, I forgot to mention that biofuel is also used as back up. The ship can travel 50 knots. Okay?

Yeah, 50 is pretty fast even for a nuclear powered cruiser and thus seems a stretch for solar. On the other hand, technically NU's fusion engines are a bit advanced too so it's hardly outside the 'next generation' realm of possibility.

50 is the top of the range, 20-30 is the average.
