License plates!
Hello there guys!
Well this is one of my first posts after months of inactivity in Micras. So, let's get started again. Hmm, is there any micronations here who already had a license plates system and codes?

Re: License plates!
I did used to have a few number plate designs mocked-up - as well as loads of different road signs - for Craitland back when I first started, but those are now long lost as they were on an old computer. Might think about making some again though, if people would be interested
Re: License plates!
I'd like to see 'em. I'll also design some Gerenia's road signs.

I disapprove of volvo's.
Otherwise, nice plate. I will make some for Jingdao when I start my car factory.

Re: License plates!
Well the Nation Abbreviations & Adjectives thread contains the three-letter abbreviations for nations which would probably be used for car numberplates. Other than that I hadn't given it much thought... but now that you bring it up, what font do you use for the numbers on that mockup you made?

I use the pre 1996 German plates DIN 1451 font, that font is one of the font that most countries used on their plates.Maximos wrote:Well the Nation Abbreviations & Adjectives thread contains the three-letter abbreviations for nations which would probably be used for car numberplates. Re: License plates!
Number plate for Basella.
Number plate for Heemecht.
Number plates start with an abbreviated form of the district the owner of the car has registered his vehicle. It is followed by a hexadecimal number which is unique for the district to be able to identify the vehicle. Small to medium districts have six digits, larger districts have seven digits to make sure no different numbering system will have to be adopted. All number plates have "extra catonem nulla salis" underneath them, this means "No grace without Cato".

Re: License plates!
Here are the current standard license plates of the nine states of mainland Safiria. Evari and Umaront would have printed-on numbers; all the others would be stamped. The number/letter combination found on all the plates except Cavia and Umaront's refers to the month and year in which the registration expires.
I'll have to make some older plates at some point.

I know it's not the prettiest thing on Micras, but Senyan cars are registered like this:
all cars have at the beginning an area code, they are:
The next two digits are the sector codes, with the final three digits/letters being random. Senyan Special letters are not included on number plates, whilst there are no I or Os.
All foreign vehicles must purchase a country sticker (displaying the three letter code of the country of origin, excluding vehicles which have this displayed on license plates) and a vignette on the border.

Re: License plates!
They look cool but some of them would be extremely difficult to read, the orange ones for example would be useless in less optimal light. But I guess that is the American approach...Fürst Holonar I wrote:I like those of Safiria as best. Really eye candy! My compliments.
