Whatever happened to....
Whatever happened to.....Riponia?
It was huge and rather active and quite powerful and then it seemed to simply plummet in activity and died. What happened to it? Did they preserve their forum? Or have we lost Circum Raynor forever?

The forum's been gone for a good while now, so a lot's been lost unfortunately. They were the first nation we had any real contact with since claiming on Micras, and were our closest neighbours at the start, so you're not the only one who misses them
Re: Whatever happened to....
Riponia were involved with some conflicts after the Circum Raynor War- they were also participants in what was termed the War of the Broken Pottery between Landingberg-Schoningreich, Holzborg/Norona and Engliriace. They took over a small part of Western Apollonia which they named Teufelsbach.
I remember back in the day when Matbaa, Riponia, Natopia, and Antica formed the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) which was hosted on Riponia's forum. They had a load of citizens- mainly RL friends of their founder Chris- and some commanders who weren't half bad (Smedley, for instance). Their forums did go down which was a real problem for me back when I was doing more historical work for the Sector for MicrasWiki because there was very little about Riponia elsewhere (which is why their MicrasWiki entry has their fictional history but not their OCC one).
Another frustrating issue was that the war which dismantled Lovely's territories on Apollonia (the NAM later led a war after the conflict between Norona and Landingberg against Lovely and her allies) was hosted on Riponia's forums. As was the NAM headquarters. So unfortunately there's probably very little which can be done to find more information on Riponia for posterity.

War of Matbaic liberation was hosted on Matbaa, Max. Surely you know that?

Ah, Riponia, the dark forest green monster of Apollonia. I was always one or two degrees of separation from these guys, I can't recall if they were fully dead when I became Zatriarch of Matbaa but certainly diplomatic communication had gone down. I do remember, though, the Antican radio station (KZFO) show about Riponia exploding (not in activity, but dying).
