If there is any possibility for a sport category then I would nominate Juan Teadoir for his worl on the Hammish leagues over the years. Also for the one in economics I nominate Duke Sinclair (now General Time) for his work on our economy which has been pretty successful and taken a lot of work.

I'd like to nominate Adrian for Most Promising New Micronationalist, by the way. Okay, he may have been around a bit longer over on MicroWiki (don't quote me on that), but since joining Micras this year, he's done quite a lot of solid work (especially with Haifa) that's gone under the radar

I can't speak for the chair or other two judges, but personally I'd like to ask more nominations, especially from less-spoken-of micronations please! Self-nominees have won awards before, or badger your friends into nominating you if you want to save face. And another thing that's really important, for all awards but especially with the Odlum, is mention specifically why the nominee deserves the award. This will make the judging easier and capable of producing a better result.

Re: Fnord Awards for 2013!
Just to give you guys a laugh, I'll put myself in for Lifetime Achievement then, seeing as I've come over from MicroWiki and somehow ended up on the Council and Vice President in the FMF

I nominate myself too, for economics. Because of my marvelous insights on the welfare state as expressed in this topic.

I agree with Benkern about the self-nominations. Hoping someone else remembers you did something close to a year ago seems like a pretty haphazard way to get things done.
