I wouldn't usually self-nominate, and I don't expect mine to be taken very seriously at all, but at least it gives you SOMETHING to talk about

I nominate Ryker, Count of Suthergold, Duchy of Goldshire, Shireroth, for Promising New Micronationalist. He has had a running start with no sign of stopping.

Shows how seriously my self-nominations should be taken then, they're so bad that I don't even remember them

My two FNORD's have come solely from self-nominations. Whereas the three times someone else has nominated me, I've missed-outSaiKar wrote:I agree with Benkern about the self-nominations. Hoping someone else remembers you did something close to a year ago seems like a pretty haphazard way to get things done.

Self nomination is something I'm hard wired against. Tooting your own horn is akin to murder north of the border :p. Unless you are the first minister of course.
Re: Fnord Awards for 2013!
I wouldn't normally either - but seriously looking at the list of nominees so far pretty much across the board, I know there's more talent in our sector than the shining examples that have already been put forward. Toot your own horns, people!

Well I'll put myself forward for leadership and overall achievement. Leadership as I've been working hard to try and take Hamland in a certain direction while taking other views and visions into account. I have moderate approach, so it depends on how you define it, but Hamland has improved greatly recently. That has by no means been all my work though.
Achievement because over the years I have worked in all areas (except literature as I am a non-fiction person) developing alternate economic systems, political systems and policy approaches. I have no idea how much people have seen of this as it has almost been all in Hamland and some of it has been lost, but it has been about 7 years, albeit with a big absence while I was working in real government.

I nominate myself for Award for Cultural Development, for my work in Passas. I also second Gordoth's nomination for the Award for Economics, as well as his nomination for Award for Leadership.

I'll nominate myself for the Award for Cultural Development, because of my work on the MHL.

A little update, Micrans:
Many nominations have been done without any motivation or very vague motivations. If you can help me find supporting links for the nominated, I would be very happy.
Please give us as many more nominations as possible. The more the merrier.
I'd really like to find pieces of literature to award. That has been the general tradition, a piece of literary work. Can you think of any? It can be by one author, fiction within fiction, it can be a roleplay storyline, and so on.
Also, some more nominations on the History category would be very good for our community's sense of self-worth
