I am in the process of compiling a fairly extensive list of Northern Corum's most noteworthy plants and animals. Even though I've still got about seven or ten more entries to write, I'll go ahead and post a link so y'all can see what I've been working on.

I'm proud to say that I've finally gotten around to updating this work. Check out the new Catalog of the Fauna of Corum. Here is a sample of one of the species you'll find contained within the catalog:

Image
A medium-sized creature similar in appearance to the Aebni-Adred-Irf, the La-Adred-Nas is believed to make its home in the region's extensive cave systems. Coming to the surface only to hunt larger prey than that found underground, this species is not very well understood. That said, the vivid blue scales of the La-Adred-Nas are worth large amounts of money, for anyone bold enough to travel into the depths of the world in order to hunt them.

That's great. For some reason the drawings remind me of the Voynich manuscript.

I think it was the voynich manuscript that originally inspired me to do this work. I'm glad I captured the spirit of it to some extent. That said, I can't take too much credit for the drawings. All I did was rearrange pieces which were already drawn. The creatures are mine, but I didn't draw them from scratch all on my own.

Is it possible to domesticate the Giid-Liesa-Eda? The Iron Company would like to purchase some of these beasts to get them to work in the mines.

It hasn't been attempted before, but I don't see why not. If the eeli-illt-eda could be domesticated to the extent that they have been, then I'm sure that the giid-lisea can be domesticated as well. I will spend some time on it today, and will let you know what I come up with.

So, I took your question to heart and went ahead and established a new ranching company. Check it out and let me know if you'd like to make an investment.

Absolutely, I'd like to purchase 12 males and 30 females.

Great! I can set it up so that you receive 60 of the beasts, gender composition of your choosing. The thing is that they come in herds of 30 per share, so the minimum number that I can send you that's more than 48, is 60. You don't necessarily have to use the spare 12 if you don't want them, but I don't recommend eating them. They do not taste very good at all.

If this is acceptable, then I'll go ahead and set it up. What I'll do is allocate some money to the Iron Company, and then make the proper investments on your behalf. I'll make sure that you still have some money left over after investments, just in case you want to expand your herds or invest in any other goods.

Very good! I'd like 45 females and 15 males then.

Thank you very much!

I'm happy to see they arrived safe and sound!

Everything is set up, and you are now the owner of 60 Giid-Lisea-Eda. The Iron Company has been allocated 100 Polis in the Bank of Passio-Corum. This particular investment, the one in the Giid-Lisea Ranch, cost 8 Polis, so that leaves you with 92 left to spend on anything else you might want to buy in the future. In the event that you become even more involved, I can send you periodic bank updates just so that you can keep track of what's going on. Let me know if you have any other product ideas or trade proposals. I'm personally really happy with what we've worked out here.

That sounds like a great idea. The Iron Company is always looking for new business opportunities, so Passio-Corum seems like a great place to explore!
