Did that have anything to do with (grimaces in remembrance) Krasnograd? It was a crisis of the week city state thrown up in the sim part of the sector as I recall.

Krasnograd was a result of the PRNSE completely leaving micronations per orders of Siberian Fox and becoming the USSR political simulator. Many of our members liked the Micronational format (myself included) and we needed a micronation. Krasnograd was setup as a successor but honestly didn't have the results I would have liked... While I am largely credited with Novaya Zemlya, it wasn't my project... honestly I could swear it was Yastreb's or `scorched CCCP`s project... maybe E0ropia's... So they had a fun thing going on and petitioned to be part of the MCS, so I put my weight behind them. I handled their operational government but it wasnt my project nor was I the leader of it.

Possibly before my time, then... I started in this whole business when I joined Fox's post-PRNSE simulation in late 2002. Only later (about May '03) did I come to Micras when Noviykrazniystan (originally called Oceania) was set up. I seem to recall being put in charge of the army while you ran the intelligence service. Jesmer was in overall charge and that El Che guy did the economic stuff. I think you drifted off when we merged into Bãracao later that year, then Baracão folded for a while and I helped Savinkov start Arkania. Then Noviykrazniystan was rebooted in early '04 (as was Baracão; I remember being part of both at that time)

Shortly after that you came back and started your new USSR project which pulled in a whole load of people (many poached from Fox's sim, which had been wound down in favour of PoFo by that point). I seem to remember an Indian guy called Jina did the webspace maintenance until we kicked him out (well I kicked him out and you signed off on it) for reasons I don't even recall. Is this the project you're referring to as Krasnograd or was that something entirely different? I don't recall the name being used at the time, but it's possible.

Zemlya was definitely my creation (originally an ezBomb test board - hence the name - then an autonomous SSR of your project, then independent) although its overall success can be attributed to Rob Davis (Alexei) Kevin Wilson (Zhivago) and Per Ulrich (Vilcherman) who each put their own flavour of razzledazzle into the place throughout late '04 and '05 (the less said about its demise the better). I think you were out of the picture by then...

Yes, I knew it was you who made Novaya Zemlya.... but to clarify events, krasnograd was the direct successor to the PRNSE, but what you were doing had more traction so I brought my crew to you.... the nation you are referring to that split off from the USSR Sim was sovietrevolution.com which was perhaps a year later... Fox banned me from the USSR due to my micronational work (I deleted redliberators website and replaced it with a portrait of Hitler)

Sorry for the double post... but by chance do you know the nation where we loaded the spam cannon with gay porn and hit them with it?

I do recall you visiting Zemlya in its early days of independence, hosting some of its web stuff and generally being supportive once its success became clear, but the memory of new recruits you brought is lost from my memory - most arrived from sovietrevolution.com when its forum was shut down and a few worked their way in from established Micras nations, but if you remember any more names from the Krasnograd contingent then it might come back to me.

I don't recall it ever being used in anger on my watch (most places were converting from ezBoard to phpBB at the time and the weapon was fast becoming obsolete, which is probably why the Anticans gave it to us in the first place) but a few Red Army folks had the keys to it and I have the faint memory of some unauthorised uses... possibly Comrade Necro, although the gay porn suggests Spetzjoe (remember him?) No idea of the target...

The PRNSE required a successor, there were too many members that wanted to do micronations but Fox was absolutely dead set against being involved in Micronations at all. I can't recall exactly which members... Kranograd was only a month or two. I had envisioned a continuation of the PRNSE, but honestly, I lacked the creativity and at that time the knowledge of how to continue it. Since my project was failing I put my money on Novaya Zemlya.

I was wondering where we aquired it, I completely forget who the anticans were.... But there was one time, I personally picked out the images to load the spam cannon with and my intention was that it would be micronational chemical weapons or psychological warfare.. a weapon so powerful it would horrify anyone....

Siberian Fox is a wonderful webmaster who has great ambitions... but if you put his feet to the fire he doesn't like it

It's been a while, Yuri. Glad to see you're documenting the PRNSE.

The specifics of the Free Republic and Baracao are specifically interesting to me. Do you still speak with Julien? If so, I hope he's well.
