Re: KelComm-1 Satellite Claim
I'd post this there, but well that's an old conversation.
I'm prefacing this with I don't actually know how satellites play into how cell phones work, but have a vague sense that they do. How would we go about using your satellite? We don't have a space program and logcially that would mean we don't have any satellites in space and by extension no cell phones networks or anything else that runs off a telecom satellite.

Re: KelComm-1 Satellite Claim
The cell phone network doesn't need satellites to work, but they're always more useful than a cable network that can be used instead. And of course it's much more logical to use satellites for intermicronational calls.

Antica is in the process of putting up cellphone towers and communications hubs. See Antican Interlink for details. You're welcome to use the icons for making your own maps.

Re: KelComm-1 Satellite Claim
I could not resist but visit this thread just to mention that geostationary satellites cannot exist off of the equator. 31.11degress north is hence an impossible point for a geostationary satellite to hold without burning thousands of kilograms of fuel all the time
but hey, that's just for if anyone feels like looking into astrophysics a little

Re: KelComm-1 Satellite Claim
Yup, Spangle's right - but the Normark doesn't exist anymore, and I'm not sure about the status of KelComm project...
Could ISA continue the program under it's name?

Re: KelComm-1 Satellite Claim
Unless the ISA is dying to have it Uantir uses it for our telecommunications and as such it makes sense for us to take it over.
At the same time I cannot find the time to finish the Keltia Express, much take on a new project.

Yeah pretty much completely irrelevant for the reasons Pawel mentioned.dr-spangle wrote:I could not resist but visit this thread just to mention that geostationary satellites cannot exist off of the equator. 31.11degress north is hence an impossible point for a geostationary satellite to hold without burning thousands of kilograms of fuel all the time
