Re: Chrimigules vs Lord Montague
Firstly, I don't want to screw up the timeline of events by completely undoing the battle.
Secondly, it does seem obvious now that we both misunderstood one another.
I like Harvey's idea, of continuing with half strength. It is the halfway point between total eradication and saying it didn't happen. It I would like to propose the following:
1. I take the total loss of the EnyÅ and the ThoÅsa as is.
2. I take the stated loss of 9 fighters, as well as the loss of 4 others (one with the EnyÅ, the others to be stated below).
3. I take the assumed loss of 5 utility helicopters and the marines aboard the EnyÅ, ThoÅsa, and GalÄ“nÄ“.
4. The Galēnē is not sunk, but has been effectively disabled for fighting.
5. The Kymothoē is somehow undamaged.
6. The transport ships for Braden's unit went their own way after my unit charged like the Light Brigade. The transport ships for the remains of Foghorn's unit tried to catch up, reaching the remnants of my carrier group in order to help pick up the pieces, but after the Lovelian Fleet has withdrawn.
7. 5 fighters, 8 utility helicopters, and the marines aboard the Kymothoē survive. The aircraft survive by landing on the Kymothoē's landing pad and the decks of the Naval Infantry transport ships.
The surviving components add up to:
Kymothoē [1250 pts]
5 Fighters [5x600 = 3000 pts]
8 Helicopters [8x60 = 480 pts]
1 Marine Platoon [60 pts]
or 4790 points
which, when you add in the detached section of my unit (7710 points) which, for some reason, has yet to move from its starting position east of the Jasonian Isles, comes to 12500 points. Half strength. The purpose of the Galēnē will simply be for backstory, to ferry survivors back home, and thus would have no points allocated to it.
8. That Lord Montague factor my CAP in. I hadn't stated its size, so let's just set it to 3 fighters (I picked it because it's a sixth of the carrier's on board complement). Those three fighters must have done something, especially when he sent his fighters in. Factoring into this that his fighters fired most/all their missiles at my ships, that would have put them at a disadvantage once my fully loaded patrol fighters engaged. Factoring also that his fighters are at an inherent disadvantage, being 500 points per fighter to my 600 points per fighter. Factoring also that these three fighters lost their home carrier, and thus would have fought until they ran out of ammunition and then ditch into the sea or something (and thus be counted lost), to be picked up either by the Lovelians on their way out from the battle or the Anticans during their post-battle survivor recovery. Thus, that the Lovelians take some damage in the form of some lost fighters.

Re: Chrimigules vs Lord Montague
Each fighter fired one missile at you and their main armaments were anti-air, because I entered the battle expecting you to be around and expecting your fighters to be up. Plus I have an advantage over your aircraft in battle because I have AWAC ability and your force lost its AWAC in the opening engagement. Therefore these have to be placed into consideration that I had 10 JSF armed with mostly Sidewinder and Meteor missiles with a single ALARM or HARM missile aboard for good measure.
So does your three fighters for 2 of mine sound reasonable?

I thought it said that you shot down the one assigned to track your group.

The Enyo had launched an extra Guardian EWA specifically to monitor its [Lovelian Fleet's] movements.

Right. So we both had AWACs capability then.
My offer still stands at 3 for 2 though.

Just we don't end up in the same problem as last time, should I take that as a yes?

Heh. We indeed must avoid our misunderstanding of one another.

Oh and for clarities sake too, we need the following positions:
Is the Chimrigules at New Brannum?
Am I sailing away from where we fought "the battle"?

Re: Chrimigules vs Lord Montague
Well, your last battlepost did seem to indicate that you were moving off.
As for my position, I'll be in the general area of the battle trying to clean up what's left.
I'd appreciate it if you didn't bring the hurt back onto me before I get going.
