Nicholas vs. Maximilian
Maximilian wrote:Summary: the Z.M. Alfons II and Z.M. de Bourbon make it to Enhasa with the rest of the ships, but are damaged. Three helicopters got shot down, along with 3 fighters. Furthermore, Max has some kind of funny dream.Somewhere between Ardy's Reach and Enhasa
Max woke up. He did not sleep for a long time, when he commanded the fleet against the Omen. It seemed like he experienced a funny dream of some sort. In his dreams he saw flying Eagles, reflecting the sun. They were so shiny, they were almost like made out of... gold... The Eagles flew over some islands and spread their wings. Their wings grew and grew and grew so large, they covered all of the islands...
When Max looked in the mirror he saw in his own eyes what happened the previous week: he defended Redoubt Island well, but his feeling just said he was defeated in battle. Somehow, Max couldn't feel right about leaving the coasts of Ardy's Reach. He rather wanted to fight and die, than to escape and live. He felt like he left his pride behind and buried it along with his airplanes. However, his mission was to defend Redoubt Island, not to send the Omen to the dungeons of death. There was one thing Max thought was higher than pride: loyalty. Loyalty to his mission and loyalty to Batavia. A servant came in. Max whispered to himself: "bátÃvieju sal teut hud eindu van du wÉruld bleiven bustÃn." The servant looked up, confused. "What did you just say, Sir?" he asked Max. "Err... just something in the old Batavian language. Didn't anyone teach you stuff about that?" Max was rather annoyed.
"Well, servant, do you have any information on what happened the past hours?" Max asked.
"Yes, Sir! However, I must tell you that you have not been away for a few hours. It was more like twenty hours."
"Err... okay. So, tell me what happened."
"Well, we had several attacks by torpedoes. Fighters attacked our small airforce. The torpedoes added some small damages to the subs. They now both have two leaky compartments. We believe there were some men in those compartments, so you might want that to be counted. Anyway, that enemy airforce just made us 3 helicopters and 3 fighters lighter."
"Right. There's nothing we can do about it now, can we?
"No, Sir."
"Err... It was a rhetorical question..."
A few hours later
"Enhasa in sight!" A sailor yelled.
OOC: I added some losses. Nicholas, I hope this will comfort you more or less and that this compensates some of the losses you thought of as too low.
I am so confused. 3 helicopters and 3 fighters is less than you lost last time. if you were intending to add that to the previous losses... you only have 5 Fighters, not 7. If you changed it so you lost a fighter and a bomber (same points as 3 fighters) that would work. (I mean add the fighter/bomber and 3 helicopters to your previous losses). That would mean you lost all your fighters, all your bombers, and 7 helicopters.Vliegende Hert Division (8700)
5 Fighters (2500)
5 Bombers (5000)
10 Multipurpose Helicopters (600)
200 Paratroopers (600)

You can either invoke the 3 day rule against him or 24 hour him completely.
If not Vilhelm or I will impose damages.

Re: Nicholas vs. Maximilian
Be that as it may, I'm 24houring his entire airforce (5 fighters, 5 bombers, 10 multipurpose helicopters), seeing how much I outnumbered him points wise (and weight of numbers too).
If you or Vilhelm could work out damage against his navy (from my bombers and the Omen) that would be good.

The airforce of Max? Hadn't he retreated to Enhasa a while ago?

Re: Nicholas vs. Maximilian
You can't actually 24 hour if you already had Nick. As I recall, you were disputing the damages because the ones he offered were far too low. He did offer damages, hence you can't 24 hour. You *can* repost this as a judicial dispute and ask for judge imposed damages, explaining why you think Max's are too low, and observe he hasn't been here for a week or so the judges may as well respond straight away.

Re: Nicholas vs. Maximilian
*facepalm* This was meant to be a judicial appeal. I discussed it in a separate topic, just like it said to. Nowhere did it say I had to write:
JUDGES LOOK AT THIS!
or anything like taht...
I was waiting for Max to come back, but he hasn't. Yes, Jonas, he retreated to Enhasa ages ago, and technically his troops are no longer there (3 day rule). But he posted a very confusing post, either with incredibly low damage (3 fighters) or assuming he had more troops than he did (if you add it to the previous damage). I don't want him coming back and then trying to use a destroyed airforce again. It probably doesn't matter, but I want to feel like I've done something.

True. I support Nicholas in this. He complained about it quickly enough. And in honestly, the confusion arising from Max's reply should be clarified before Max is able to use his units (if they are all destroyed).

I think we don't need to solve this anymore, it looks like the war is almost over. I can't speak in Max his place. But I will remember him of this topic.

Re: Nicholas vs. Maximilian
I am most sorry to have missed this completely. Exams, learning, reading, Batavian elections, girlfriend and recent pressure at work have been occupying me. However, that's not an excuse for my sudden absence.
What I have to say on what Nicholas said earlier, is that I do have more than five fighters. I commanded the Vliegende Hert division, which have, as you say, five fighters. There is, however, something you might have missed. The 3rd and 4th Vermeylen Division have five fighters, attached to the Z.M. Vermeylen. So, when losing seven fighters, I still have three fighters remaining.

Really? Were they part of yoru orbat or someone elses? I'm sure I checked for taht... anyway, I'm happy with the losses you posted then. That was 7 Fighters, 5 Bombers and 7 Helicopters. I lose 2 fighters and have 1 damaged (it is assumed hte damaged one has been repaired by now) That alright Maximilian?
