North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
you had said that your ships were at least half a days journey away so what 250 pixels which is something like 600 miles and i doubt much more than 3-4 minutes has elapsed since our battle started so im wondering if your actually able to be pulling up this air support. remember you weren't aware i was coming until you picked me up on sonar.
also the Matar suicide run you reversed directions to avoid it which would take time time in which it is closing in on you. basically i don't think your mines had time to get safely away from your sub before i would have collided with you. i doubt it was that far off when it started its run and it would have taken at least a few seconds to realize what it was trying to do more time to change coarse and launch mines so i think that either there was a direct collision or that the mines triggered very close to your sub.

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
you are right in that only a small matter of time has passed since the battle started. and in that time, my ships have hardly moved anywhere closer. however, the aircrafts can fly instantly according to the rules. and the 600 some range is well within an aircraft's range (couple with the fact that i got refueling tankers in the air to refuel/increase the range by a bit more). So, I could get my air power to the scene easily.you had said that your ships were at least half a days journey away so what 250 pixels which is something like 600 miles and i doubt much more than 3-4 minutes has elapsed since our battle started so im wondering if your actually able to be pulling up this air support. remember you weren't aware i was coming until you picked me up on sonar.
that being said, i do see your point as well. so, if we are to back up on our stories, then:
X-101 battle with 3 cancer subs: i did not fire the 4 torpedoes at the libra class submarine. the libra class submarine also didn't fire any SAMs. also, your 3 cancer subs are all surfacing to see for reaction.
X-100 battle with the mini-subs: I did not drop anything since there were no aircrafts, which means that your 3 submarines (that were not doing anything till now) are still in possession of their counter-measures. Mergha is advancing towards the mines. and my ship is trying to put as much distance as possible.
and we take it from there... (you'll have to post first about the mini-sub battle, and then i'll post the continuation of that and the battle with cancer subs) ?
How close are you thinking our submarines are? Cause I am thinking of a few kilometers between the Mergha (or was it Matar?) and my X-100. At least 4 or 5 kms, but lets assume even 2. I think I'd be able to release the two mines, while traveling back at increasing speeds (i am not changing course or anything) before you get to even 500 meters of my submarine. Probably by the time you cover half the distance, I might have been able to release the first mine and part way through releasing the second, or just about to...also the Matar suicide run you reversed directions to avoid it which would take time time in which it is closing in on you. basically i don't think your mines had time to get safely away from your sub before i would have collided with you. i doubt it was that far off when it started its run and it would have taken at least a few seconds to realize what it was trying to do more time to change coarse and launch mines so i think that either there was a direct collision or that the mines triggered very close to your sub.
Remember, this Mergha (or Matar) was one of the first four ships to be detected and fired upon. The others were Gomesia, Matar and Krazz. And that it was that first torpedo that broke the rudder. I didn't fire any torps after that. Sonar and torpedo ranges probably go well into 50+ kms, but I am only considering around 10 at best. So, our ships are probably within 10km radius of each other. With the surface fleet probably 800 to 1000 kms or so far.
I think I should be able to get away from my own mines. I am not trying to change course either, cause my commanders dont know your ship is on collision course (well, they'll probably figure it out part way) and that the rudders on your ship (Mergha as well as Krazz) are jammed/destroyed. Their intention is to keep moving back, making you come after us, while releasing the mine in the middle so that the mine takes your ship out, while letting mine continue back safely.

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
Aircraft moving instantly is obviously meant to mean they get there fast (in comparison to the sailing/walking time), not instant-instant. I've had disputes in Toketi before about how fast planes can get to a place. Work out the distance and their real world speed, and allow up to a minute to get ready and get them up in the air, then let them arrive at that point in the battle.

Er yes... that's why I am suggesting we can scratch that whole aircraft attack thing...

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
do you mind if we hold while we sort out what is going on?
ie im willing to scratch the air craft attacks and just summarize final damages. im sorry but i've had a bad week and dont have the mental capacity to keep this up...
so up to this point i had one mini lost
2 damaged i assumed the Matar was close when it made its suicide run if it had been over a km away it would have just surfaced as i doubt you would have stayed still enough to hit.
also one cancer attack sub is suffering damage.
so for final losses...
3 mini's out 2 destroyed one crippled and pulled from combat
1 Cancer running at 70% effecency (half speed loss of aft torpedoes)
so does that sound reasonable?

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
From what I can figure (and their relative positions to my ships):
CAA Fornacis - intact, behind X-100 some 1 or 2 kms away
CAA Gomeisa - destroyed
CAA Kraz - begins to leak also loses maneuverability, 1 or 2 kms to my left of X-100
CAA Matar - damaged and bugging out (ie leaving), surfacing. 1 or 2 kms to my right of X-100
CAA Merga - damaged rudder is locked up. 1 or 2 kms directly ahead of X-100
CAA Nash - intact, 5 to 10 kms ahead of X-100
CAA Sabik - intact, 5 to 10 kms ahead of X-100
CAA Pleione - intact, 5 to 10 kms ahead of X-100
CAA Alkes - hull ruptures across aft decks, slowed down and have lost aft torpedoes, a few kms ahead of X-101
other Cancer subs that attacked me - intact, similar distance to Alkes
not sure where all the other subs are, but they are intact and farther from my sub than the ones mentioned and ahead of me. so, probably farther behind Alkes and the other 2 cancer subs.
When I say intact, I am not taking into account some damages from all the torpedoes exploding around. At least for your ships, I am not.
It was Merga that tried to collide with me.
The damages are what you wrote in your summaries/posts.
With regards to my ships:
X-101 - significant damage, out of missiles, out of quite a load of counter-measures, surfaced and people getting out.
X-100 - a few pipe bursts, some fires and some electrical power issues.
All of the above is prior to aircraft attacks. So, that is all good.
Now, if the Mergha surfaced and not continue on the collision course, then I probably wouldn't have dropped 2 mines.. the 2 mines could either be 2 decoys that i can activate whenever i want (in addition to the 2 already dropped as mentioned) or 2 torpedoes that are headed at Mergha assuming you'll take the hits (if you wont take the hits, then i might as well say the 2 mines were 2 decoys that i will activate later).
Also, X-100 is not moving, since there's no danger yet.

so,... four winds? you mean you are retreating out of the region? or coming up closer to my surface fleet (and thereby, being in between the surface fleet and my submarines)?SUMMARY: Sub force scatters to the four winds. (after taking neccisary precautions to insure escape ) basically im saying lets end the battle and hammer out some losses, maybe then we can move on.

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
Please say "inbetween subs and surface fleet", it makes Longbow's move with my ship so much easier ....

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
Ok, if the whole reason for North disengaging his attack is so that Longbow's attack is possible, then um... we are sort off assuming that North's submarines and my submarines are sitting there doing nothing for about 3 days. And I highly doubt that's gonna happen, cause I soon get my air power on his submarines and destroy him. So, either:
1. he's retreating and running off back towards the Jasonia direction.
2. he's not doing the above, but staying put or going in between my surface fleet and submarines.
If 1, then I suppose in 3 days time, we can have a fight again. though if he's running, i am probably gonna hunt him down (which means finding your carrier long before your carrier is anywhere close to me!.. forget radar range at that point.)
If 2, then longbow's units are still in limbo, because i would certainly attack North's submarines within the 3 days time frame, with potentially everything i got including air power.
The only way I see both (North and Longbow) being able to attack together is by choosing option 1. But, that could potentially change the scenario entirely and i might be able to escape from the battle entirely! For instance, I would know that there are several enemy submarines ahead of me in my path. Thus, I could decide to instead go back to attacking Toketi. I could even go someplace where I can be quite safe, thereby saving myself from your units! And it wouldn't be god-modding because i know in-character that your submarines are out there waiting for me (i dont know about the carrier, but that doesn't matter if there are several submarines out there!).

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
I think North just wanted to stop what was rapidly becoming one of the longest 10 minute battles in recwar history. Really, best would be for you and him to chat and work out what happened on those three days between yourselves instead of trying to reply once or twice a day ....

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
well... i might be able to sink his submarines without any major damages to myself... other than the 2 stuck submarines (which can be destroyed or rendered useless), i dont think North would be able to do much more damage to me, while i would have sunk all his submarines in the 3 days.
not sure, if North or anyone else for that matter would accept that... and hence, why i am not suggesting we go do that kind of post. if North is ready and up for such damages, i'd be happy to tell him all of that.

Re: North Vs. Extreme timeline and other things
dude you do realize that my force consists of what are meant to be the most advanced submarines on micras right?
seriously dude give my units and crews some credit,
yes you ambushed my but the oceans big and in all honesty i could have debated your success at detecting me till the dogs come home but i figured hey why not have a fight.
i posted what i thought were fair responses with realistic damages and now your saying my whole force should be under while your subs are both still alive, one out sure but the other just having burst pipes? it took on 5 other subs honestly.
and i quit/left as indeed i just want to call it and sort losses i don't have the energy or time to be on here often enough to up keep an active battle where if i miss one day my whole force might be destroyed.
anyway my arguments. torpedoes are loud an obvious as soon as they are in the water. you only had an advantage when i didn't know you were there (until you fired) you engaged from long range against my cancers which are just as capable as your ships (yet i still gave you something) also you got swarmed by mini's sure your first salvo did some damage but after that it was 4 on 1 torpedoes coming at you from all over not just the front but sides and back (where your countermeasures are less effective, mostly referring to sides)
i gave you roughly 7% casualties of my entire orbat, which considering that you took on 34% of my orbat with only 8% of your own is a very good ratio at least in my opinion.
i will give you credit for knowing your submarine counter measures yet countermeasures are only so effective and i feel i must push for both of your involved submarines from being out of the remainder of the conflict. be they destroyed or just crippled beyond combat readiness.
if some of this is wacky or doesn't make sense i apologize its late here and i had another busy day... :P
