Re: Judge
It's useful up to a point. Against big marching columns of ground troops moving from A to B, excellent. Considering how few people do that anymore? not very useful.Lord_Montague wrote:Just how effective certain tactics are in a recwar.....namely guerilla etc.
Some might get thrown in but I doubt it.
I've done too much guerrilla warfare in the past. time for something a little different.

Re: Judge
Well considering I just posted my orbat and my nostalgia has beaten practicality so my force is now purely naval I may as well let you in on what I had planned.
I had planned 5 autonomous groups of infantry worth 5,000 points each. Each would be linked with a country and the country would be fought by the infantry groups and various tactics would be used. For instance, I was planning with one group to initiate a sort of Easter Rising situation. Another I hoped to use terrorist tactics akin to Al Qaeda and the IRA and see how they would work etc.
I suppose the experiment will have to wait while I return to my natural environment of the seas. Admittedly though, I don't have any of my brilliant subs.

Re: Judge
good idea... the thing i found hard was how to handle sooo many people?
guerilla warfare, like the ones you suggested, work well with fewer numbers. but when you have access to 5,000.. or 25,000.... its a bit tooo much.
especially when the opposing forces are equal or lower strength.
