Ending the War
Some of the Nelagans (ie Nelagan citizens, not pro-Nelagan people in this war) have a plan to make the ending of this war a little more interesting than "everyone gets bored and signs a peace treaty". You've already seen the beginnings of it with the fall of the Omen to shady conspirators. Things have been going on pretty long, and a bunch of us are ready to shift into "beginning of the end" mode. This doesn't require a whole lot from your end. You can either continue shooting each other as before, or respond to some of the unusual developments that are about to happen in a natural way. However, if you do something that messes up our narrative (like killing a main character or destroying the Omen) we may have to (as Andreas would say) "historically unverify" your move. We mostly just ask for your agreement that when crazy things start happening, you don't say "that seems unrealistic" and accuse us of godmodding, which of course we will be. You can be sure that all of the unrealistic godmodding will lead up to the agreed ending of Nelaga's independence, and not mess up your units particularly (unless you REALLY end up in the wrong place at the wrong time).
Is everyone about ready to give the war another week or two and then shut down, or should we hold off on the denouement for a little while?

Well.. at least you kept everyone in the loop... i remember last time (Jaris War) you were trying something similar with Acre, but didn't tell me... and i ended up screwing your plans.

I dont know why I remember it either. But all I know is, no one told me that Ardashir and your other guys had already talked about Acre or some city, and had come up with a decision/plan on how to move ahead. I saw an opportunity to cause damage (not knowing such discussions had taken place) and sent my units in, which somehow turned the battle there in Ardy's favor. I think if remember it correctly.

I'm happy for it to end as soon as possible. I go back to school in a couple of days and I won't be able to be properly active in the war then.

Re: Ending the War
Yeah - Extreme they had a plan about how they were going to breach the western wall and roll, the last remnants of the Babkhan garrison out of the city, and there was precious little I could do to stop them as my reinforcements were only just arriving on the peninsular but your air support napalmed the Shirerithian breakout - stalling it and forcing the Hyperborean marines (I think led by Eoin) into more house to house fighting which slowed them down sufficiently for the Terre des Riches Army to deploy on the northern outskirts of the city and bring artillery and fresh troops into play.
If I recall the Grand Commonwealth won the Jaris War because Antica fell apart. The Shirerithian landings at Acre in Palestina were meant to be in coordination with a massive Antican land invasion against the Terre des Riches (which would have gone much as the War of Mondesian Liberation went if it had happened). The Shirerithians were attacking an open flank, aside from a Fedayeen detachment the Babkhan garrison in Palestina had melted away and Scott had trounced a Commonwealth fleet the day before (only naval battle in history where a carrier had attempted to engage a battleship with its own deck armaments - with obvious results). As it happened the Shirerithians attempted two landings at Acre, the first - which really would have been heading into an open goal, was foiled by the simple expedient that I had installed a chain across the mouth of the harbour which fouled the first wave of landing craft - more fortuitously still Eoin caught the flu and his force went into stasis in the harbour mouth for a good couple of days. Concurrently Antica fell apart and the threatened invasion never materialised - allowing me to deploy the Terre des Riches garrison into Palestina where it was apparent that the main Shirerithian effort was going to be focused - the element of surprise being entirely lost.
I think Extreme you also managed to massacre the Shirerithian reinforcements which had gathered at their supply base on the Norfolk Isles - this is probably what you remember them being decidedly unhappy about.

No. I was referring to the wall breaching thing.
And I had forgotten that I had destroyed some reinforcement units at Norfolk. Ah yes, its coming to me now. Whoever the player was (A-something), he (she?) lost quite a significant amount of the troops prior to getting into the battle zone!

Is there anything that would be particularly useful to know, so that we don't completely screw things up?

Don't go on Provos/Nang island, and don't stop the people going on there (ie me or Scott).

Hmmm... *looks at Montague's fleet slowly closing on him* I think I might be able to manage that.
