Shireroth annexation of Batavia, cession to Çakaristan of Qazalqaystan
See https://micras.org/mwiki/Treaty_of_Raynor%27s_Keep
Batavia has agreed to rejoin the Imperial Republic, ratified by the new King (the old one abdicating in favour of his son due to ill health) prostrating himself before Our Lady the Radiant Sun, the Kaiseress.
Most of Qyzalqaystan is ceded to Çakaristan. For Shireroth, the territorial change isn't very big.
Shireroth and Batavia have close and deep relations going back centuries. Just before the Kalirion Fracture, most of Batavia was under Shirerithian dominion. From here, we have important figures in Shirerithian history such as Waldemar Zinkgraven and Jaap van Pijpervale). By the grace of Kaiser Ayreon IV (may he rest in peace), the Imperial Dominion of Batavia was joined with the United Batavian States to form an independent Kingdom of Batavia. The Kingdom then had a rocky relationship with Shireroth, with relations becoming awkward after the Batavian king, then also king of West Amokolia and a Shirerithian peer as Duke of Brandenburg, declared war on Shireroth.
The cold state of relations ended seven years later when Salome, Kaiseress of Shireroth, was elected Stadtholder of Batavia – keeping the throne warm. There were calls for David Raion, a Shirerithian prince, to become King, and others favoured Salome as Queen. However, relations were fruitful and cooperative, and there seemed like there would be a union of some kind soon.
However, this did not come to be at that time. Instead, after Kildare's reunification with Shireroth, Batavia was inspired to follow suit and rejoin the imperial motherland, with an autonomous government gently saddling the feudalism of Shireroth. This perfect compromise would also repare the fracture in the greater Ayreon-Kalirion dynasty, with the outcasts from Arkadius IV's lineage being allowed back into Shireroth, and Hakim being restored to his father's duchy of Brandenburg.
This annexation of Batavia is for Shireroth important; it ties in with decades if not centuries of historical development and relations. Moreover, the annexation is not very big when you consider the cession of Qyzylqaystan to Çakaristan.
Qyzylqaystan was not entirely pacified after the Jingdaoese civil war, and it was only with help from Çakaristan that it happened. You might also see the cession as reparations to the Alsalam family and dynasty for their exile from Shireroth. As such, it is hoped that this treaty will also heal the wounds of division that existed in the greater Ayreon-Kalirion family, within the greater Vinandy family, and between all people illuminated by the Radiant Sun.

Jonas and Arky will be around to confirm for Batavia and Çakaristan respectively.

Is this why liberals ought not to be allowed in the public sphere? Leave them with a real estate deal to conclude and they'll suddenly start talking about reparations, quite unbidden.Ric wrote:You might also see the cession as reparations to the Alsalam family and dynasty for their exile from Shireroth. All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.
