If there's a way of getting this image to match the colours of the claimsmap, that would go a considerably long way towards allowing me to copy it straight in when I update it, rather than having to change every minor modification manually and risk missing parts

This map is supposed to be the matching colours thing as it's directly edited from the MCS map without any other programmes going through. Are you sure the colours are messed up? We uploaded an old version of the map (with indy Batavia's new cities) but that one had been through a stupid editing programme which messed up the colours, so this is the direct version (minus indy Batavia's new cities)
Narrative:
- Hawshire-Dura andf Siyacha annexed (so no longer protectorates)
- Batavia (the dominion) has its borders extended
- FNR (the dominion) has its borders reduced to three enclaves
- Elwynn's southern counties become imperial dominions
- Elwynn's northern counties merged
- Imperial dominion of Amokolia with the islands, Mishalan, Oleslaad and Vattnaland established
- uprising aganst Ardy in Modan (it's Ardy's land, ofc there'll be an uprising)

Quite sure. It's noticeably different without me even having to check the claimsmap, but for assurance:
The left section is part of the claim submitted, while the right section is taken directly from the current claimsmap. The left has much darker tones for all the colours bar black.
Perhaps the editing software you used, or even the place you uploaded it, affects the colours? It's not a new problem by any means, I remember it happening with Gralus' claims a fair bit, but usually the changes being made are simple enough that I don't mind doing them manually. This one is just a bit too much for what I'm okay with letting slide, given how my time is affected lately

What the crap...
It might be my computer then being stupid, I do a simple copy paste from the MCS map, edit the map, save in PNG as that has the highest resolution, and upload to Shirewiki (Shirewiki has never been the problem). I can't use Paint because I have a fucking Mac... (no one told me about that when I bought a Mac :p). I guess that's where the problem is.

It might be my computer then being stupid, I do a simple copy paste from the MCS map, edit the map, save in PNG as that has the highest resolution, and upload to Shirewiki (Shirewiki has never been the problem). I can't use Paint because I have a fucking Mac... (no one told me about that when I bought a Mac :p). I guess that's where the problem is.

Please say it does... I manually chose Kras's colour code and changed my colour from the old one to that (though the programme have me a different hex code for the first colour)

Yeah, that looks correct to me. (But remember it is all the colours apart from black that are affected by the goodness of Mac seemingly)

Photoshop tells me it has a weird embedded colour profile. If I discard it in the program, I get the correct #CA0000. If I don't, I get #D61E00 (which also shows on a screengrab of your post). You gotta ditch that embedded profile... somehow.
I've had no luck switching the profiles on the main image otherwise I'd do it myself - but it's giving me all kinds of shades. You'd have to change every colour manually at this rate
