Reporter: Hello, Welcome Cadan. Its good of you to lend us some of your valuable time!

Cadan: No problem. I always have time for the media! ;D

R: haha, I'd like to meet anyone who doesn't! Anyhow, a lot of our readers will be based around Micras, so may not know you.. so, why don't we start by getting to know you.. who are you in Micronations?

C: Well, I started off in the now-inactive Kingdom of TwoChairs as a cabinet minister, and I must admit, I didn't get along with many people... people just can't seem to have civilized arguments these days ;D I left TwoChairs following the departure of former kings Eoin and Calvin to the Talossas, and was quickly snapped up by Apiya. I am now the Royal Executor of External Affairs in Apiya. As well as Apiya, I am an administrator on Micronations.eu, and also am helping with the M-N Radio community :)

R: ahh, I see.. a fairly eventful deal of past workings, how long have you been in Micronations?

C: Since TwoChairs' foundation in 2007.

R: Ah, I see..speaking of TwoChairs, why do you think it finally fell? I mean, all nations meet problems along the way, what were the main ones for you?

C: For me, it was a lack of trust. I felt that I couldn't trust my colleagues, therefore I was constantly suspicious. My apparent unpopularity (and, may I add, unfair campaigning techniques) made sure I was never elected as Chancellor (the highest elected postition), and did nothing to calm my anger. When others started leaving, and my attempts to try and save it from its current dormancy were not wanted by the Queen, I decided that I'd had enough. In Apiya, there is no distrust. I think that we will live for much longer than TwoChairs did.

R: I'm glad to see your past experiences have led you to recognise problems that could arise and soleve them for your new projects.. its always good to learn from experiences and move on and I'm sure apiya will be as sucessful as you imagine it to be! You mentioned you were the Royal Executor of External Affairs for Apiya, what are you planning to do in this role?

C: Well, I've already started work; I've registered on Wittenburg XII (the forum of the Republic of Talossa) and become a Friend of the Republic, and have also submitted an application to join LoSS. Overall, I want to strengthen intermicronational relations and possibly communicate and begin relations with specific nations. I also want to join ENVIROME, a project run by the Kingdom of TorHavn.

R: LoSS and ENVIROME? Getting involved in a lot of secessionist ideas.. is the country istself secessionist, or do you have simulationst aims also?

C: TBH, Apiya is in a bit of a transitional period at the moment. We are currently working out our goals and aims based on citizen opinion, so we can evolve and strengthen Apiya with the citizens. Personally, I think that Apiya is neither simulationist nor secessionist; we are somewhere in the middle. We claim territory, yet we have no plans to make ourselves independent from our encompassing nation.

R: Ah, I see.. it does seem that the two types are quite alien to each other.. but tis good to see some attempting to bridge that gap a little. Helps with understanding! One thing I did notice, whilst browsing the Apiya forums is.. ASS, what is that?

C: ASS is a little project I started within Apiya - it is an acronym which stands for the Apiyan Security Service. I am its head, and my deputy is Rebecca. Of course, if I discussed our business with you, I'd have to kill you after... ;D

R: haha, the classic line! So, it is more for the security (as in militaristic) or more to the spying side? Or would you have to kill us for that piece of information too ;)

C: Nah, I think I'll let you off XD I am a pacifist, so I would never kill or endorse the killing of anyone. We exist purely to ensure that Apiya's position within Micronationalism remains safe, and that we aren't being frauded by anyone.

R: Ah.. good defences is what I like to see! lol. But sometimes, the worst threat to a nation is not from its external threats, but internal. I noticed you'd lost a citizen recently.. what happened there?

C: Aah, yes... Two of our citizens had a small falling out, and one of them left because of it. I'm not naming names, of course, but these things happen, and Apiya is still going strong.

R: Falling out? Not a re-occurance of the problems TwoChairs faced?!

C: Not at all. At least the problem was nipped in the bud. No more problems like that now :)

R: Good news, then. All the other citizens getting along well? Seems as you've just started theres not many of you.. tell us a little about your peers!
C: Well, our leader is Prince Predrag. He's a nice old fellow, and busies himself with law-writing and technical jargon. Our Royal Executor of Media and Communications is Rebecca, and she is very fun to work with. She deals with the (if you'll excuse me pointing out the obvious) media and communications side of Apiya.

R: Haha.. you may point out the obvious all you like :).. hmm.. Rebecca eh?.. There was a rumour, in the IRC channel #micronations, that there was a Micronational marriage on the scene?.. Any comments on that?

C: There are no plans for a Micronational marriage at the moment, but I'm sure many would like to see one.

R: The short and Sweet answer, fair enough.. rumours will be rumours! Apiya seems to be fine.. so how about your other Micronational projects?.. What is MN-eu and whats your role there?

C: Well, I joined MNeu whilst I was still in TwoChairs as a general Micronationalist, but I have slowly become enroped and entangled so much that I'm now Super User with Predrag. ;D

R: 'Super user', eh?.. Nice title! So, what are the aims of MN.eu exactly? The 'eu' part makes it seem its based around the European Micronations?

C: Nah, that was just the domain we managed to get hold of. We have previously been (in no paticular order) Micro-nations.org, Micro-nations.net and Micro-nations.com. MNeu was set up as a forum for Micronational discussion of any kind, open to all.

R: Ahh, I heard Micronations.net died a while ago, see.. might be where some of the confusion lies!

C: That is a seperate entity. Well, it was. We just got the domain.

R: Ah, I see.. Moving back to yourself, You'd said you'd been in Micronationalism for two years? How are you finding it, on the whole?

C: I find it a nice deviation from general life. Of course, it gives me the space to exersize paticular skills which I'm hoping to use in my career.

R: Very nice! I find it thrilling to hear how Micronationalism has helped and developed skills for their later life, as many people include it within their CV's.. its such a shame that there aren't more people joining us, that would suit the hobby. How do you think is the best way we can jack up the numbers some more?

C: Well, people aren't going to join if it looks boring, so a glossy face is always useful. Also, people can't join if they don't know you exist, so making yourself known is important. Friends, family... anyone!

R: Haha, advertisement is key! Which brings me to my final question, as I love to allow people and nations to advertise whats going on (and on regular radio interviews, the one being interviewed always has something to promote), I'm leaving this last question open! Is there anything you would like to say to our readers?

C: I would like to say, with peace and love, NO MORE FAN MAIL!!!! XD

R: Haha, a wonderful note to end on, if I may say so! :).. Its been great having you, thankyou for your time!

C: No problem!
