Order of Battle: Republic of Ashkenatza
Ashkenatza Natsyonal Armey Order of Battle
Anunia Convention - National Form
1. Does your nation have Existing National Defences? (III.A) If so, place a link to them below.
Existing National Defences are defensive structures for your civilians and/or troops. Such defensive structures cannot require manpower to damage orbatted units, otherwise said manpower must be included in the their orbat. eg. A wall, or a mine, is appropriate, but a SAM or a gun turret is not. They can include manpower in purely non-offensive terms (eg a Radar Station or a Train Network). If these structures are to affect orbatted units, they must also be within the reality constraints placed on the war as a whole, otherwise the entire offending thing [that is, the person/object/defensive structure that includes an element outside the reality constraints placed on the war as a whole] is considered not to exist for the purposes of orbatted units.
Either copy all your descriptions into one thread, or provide links to each of them. This can be in the same post as your Existing National Defence
3. Please name below every citizen of your nation who could possibly participate in the war. (III.D). Also note which region they will start in (if you don't use personal regions, mark this "Capital") (IV.M). Any citizens not mentioned here who join the war later may be refused entry by the enemy.
A. If any of your forces meet the following conditions, they qualify to count as more experienced. Note this in your orbat. (III.E,F)
i. Have fought and survived a previous Recwar which was not too recent as to have sapped morale.
iii. Participated in regular training exercises in their nation.
C. If you are using non-standard units (ie any not mentioned specifically by name in the Convention), either provide a link to them (if real world), or a description (if invented) of basic capabilities. If you intend to use your unit in a way that is not a standard feature, please note that as well. (IV.E,F)

(III.A) If so, place a link to a page listing them below.Barracks, forts and checkpoints are covered under the maps which are referenced under question 2.
Ashkenatza has a comprehensive rail network - its main depots are found at Kolmenitzkiy, Litkovskovo & Podil'skiyj. Characteristics of the railway include:
- Standard Overhead Electrification in Ashkenatza are 15 kV overhead traction current lines- (requests for third rail electrification can be modified on overhead electrified locomotives for a negotiable extra cost) as used in Germany and other Central European Railways.
- Railway Gauge in Ashkenatza is (with the permission of the Interior Ministry, of course) 1,435 mm (4 ft 8½ in)- the Stephenson Gauge, as used by 60% of nations in the world.
Either copy all your descriptions into one thread, or provide links to each of them. This can be in the same post as your Existing National Defence
It should be noted that Ashkenatza has since its conception maintained a rigorous military defence of its Northern Frontier, which features anti-tank ditches, early warning radar, and gun emplacements. Despite this, Ashkenatza's military doctrine is generally one of elastic defence. No dramatic concrete walls or anything like that. Checkpoints can be seen marked by the scarlet arrows on the Concise Map of the Territories of the Republic of Ashkenatza [Goltz, 5769], which also includes minor settlements, roads, and train lines.
The Ashkenatzi cities of Kolmenitzkiy, Mazeltov, and Klymenburg are also mapped out and in the public domain.
Benaciastadt, however, as a divided city, is spliced by a large division wall somwhat like that of Cold War Berlin, sectioning the Ocian-Amokolian third of the city off from the remaining Tellian-Ashkenatzi section. This wall includes numerous fortifications and guard posts.
3. Please name below every citizen of your nation who could possibly participate in the war. (III.D). Also note which region they will start in (if you don't use personal regions, mark this "Capital") (IV.M). Any citizens not mentioned here who join the war later may be refused entry by the enemy.
4. If your nation offers anything in the situation it loses, please list it below (II.C). Anything not listed here can only be ceded by your agreement after the war.Moshe Goltz - Kampfrgruppen Goltz [Trans-Elwynn Autonomous Region, White Litovina, and the Pale]
Pachad Emet ben Mavet - GHQ Theatre Reserve [Nationwide]
Szhmuel Astopov - I Corps [Izaria and Zaprogia]
Alex Allenby - II Corps [White Litovina &Trans-Elwynn Autonomous Region ]
Other potential actives include Herr Yacob ben Yacob and Prince Isur-Ai of the Ashkenatzi Elw.
5. Other Reminders:Hell, I propose the Trans-Elwynn and Tellia for collateral to be put at risk in the event of defeat. With the caveat that the enemy must accept liabilities likewise for this to be valid.
A. If any of your forces meet the following conditions, they qualify to count as more experienced. Note this in your orbat. (III.E,F)
i. Have fought and survived a previous Recwar which was not too recent as to have sapped morale.
ii. Had a backstory of reasonable quality written for them explaining their training/origin/loyalty, and why they are more experienced than a normal unit. The 11th Landvekherner Teyl 'Ben-Gurion' (II Corps) was heavily involved in the incursion into Benaciastadt which occurred in January of this year, gaining both notoriety and experience. It also featured heavily in a counter insurgency operation conducted during February.
iii. Participated in regular training exercises in their nation.
B. If you wish to share some of your points with someone else in your nation, note that in your orbat (and preferably post your orbat together) (IV.B)The armed forces of the Republic have endured numerous alerts during the course of the year which sharpened their reaction times and given them experience of moving out of barracks at short notice.
The army has in the past flirted with controversy but remains a loyal and dedicated force supported by strong state propaganda.
C. If you are using non-standard units (ie any not mentioned specifically by name in the Convention), either provide a link to them (if real world), or a description (if invented) of basic capabilities. If you intend to use your unit in a way that is not a standard feature, please note that as well. (IV.E,F)
Not exactly non-standard but it is worth re-stating that Ashkenatza will be using items of indigenous design in its inventory:
i. MPF Obkuwagen
ii. MPF Ezekiel MBT
iii. MPF Pachad Gringpanser
iv. MPF Kampfwagen
v. MPF Gideon APC
vi. Dipou Combat Aircraft Series
vii. Helios Airship Variants

Contribution of the Babkhan Imperial Navy to the Allied Effo
The following is the order of battle for the task force of the Babkhan Imperial Navy which has been devoted to aiding Ashkenatza as an ally in the prosecution of the war effort against Ocia:
Task Force Vanguard
HMS Vanguard [Flagship]
Formerly the pride of the navy of the Grand Commonwealth, the Vanguard Class Advanced Dreadnought (5,000) is a formidable weapon of war. HMS Vanguard (as well as, irrelevantly, her sister ship HMS Victorious) has a maximum displacement of 72,000 tonnes and its offensive systems include nine eighteen-inch guns, six six-inch guns and missile silos bearing fifty BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles (370*), fifty BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles (500) and two hundred Storm Shadow cruise missiles (1,080*). Her defensive systems consist of an integrated automated network of SAMs, automated cannons and machine guns. She also carries two UH-1N Twin Huey utility helicopters (60x2).
Fire control for both the defensive and offensive systems is provided by a powerful onboard computer which provides full integration of weapons systems with the ship's radar system (which is capable of simultaneously tracking hundreds of targets); the computer system also allows the ship to integrate its targeting and weapons systems with those of the more advanced of its escorts through a simple computer-to-computer communication scheme utilizing encrypted radio signals.
Owing to her high status, a sailor must be a highly motivated veteran who has shown himself to be the personification of Babkhan martial virtue before he will ever be assigned to this ship. Morale amongst the crew of HMS Vanguard tends to be very high, as these sailors are some of the best of Babkha's best, with some of the best pay, benefits and entertainment in the entire Babkhan Navy, on a ship that has, since her launch long ago, been touted as "impervious to all but the most determined of bombardments", with no incidents to date that would in any way shake the confidence of her crew in their ship.
HMS Farhang
Essentially beginning life as miniature aircraft carriers, the Fareed Farhang Class ships (500) were originally designated as helicopter carriers. However, recent modifications to both HMS Farhang and her sister ship HMS Britannia, including the addition of internal landing craft wells, have led to the redesignation of the class as amphibious assault ships (more specifically, LHD).
Essentially, all HMS Farhang does is transports Marine Expeditionary Unit Farhang to its landing site and shuttles it there using three LCACs. MEU Farhang's aviation component will use the helicopter capacity of HMS Farhang as the initial base of its assets, until a base on land can be established. HMS Farhang really does not have any offensive capability in its own right, as it merely serves as a mobile base for amphibious operations. As far as defensive systems are concerned, it is armed with SAMs, Phalanx Close-In Weapons Systems, automatic cannons and machine guns.
The crew of this ship don't have a reason for any higher moral than any other crew in the Babkhan Navy. Its crew is relatively well-trained, but they are not given any offensive weapons systems with which to damage the enemy themselves and this training usually only benefits MEU Farhang.
HMS Jahandar
The lead ship of the Jahandar class destroyers (1,000), HMS Jahandar is armed with 45 (400*) BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles, 45 (450) BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles, a 5"/54 caliber Mark 45 lightweight gun, two 25 mm chain guns, four .50 caliber machine guns, two 20 mm Phalanx Close-In Weapons Systems and two Mark 32 triple torpedo tubes. She also carries a UH-1N Twin Huey utility helicopter (60) that has been modified for anti-submarine warfare. Sensors, electronic warfare and decoy systems are similar to those of the USS Arleigh Burke.
It should be noted that due to the fact that this is the lead ship of its class AND named after the current Shah, the crew of this ship will have slightly elevated morale in comparison to the crews of the other destroyers.
HMS Khan-Osmansk
Another Jahandar class destroyer (1,000), HMS Khan-Osmansk is armed with 45 (400*) BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles, 45 (450) BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles, a 5"/54 caliber Mark 45 lightweight gun, two 25 mm chain guns, four .50 caliber machine guns, two 20 mm Phalanx Close-In Weapons Systems and two Mark 32 triple torpedo tubes. She also carries a UH-1N Twin Huey utility helicopter (60) that has been modified for anti-submarine warfare. Sensors, electronic warfare and decoy systems are similar to those of the USS Arleigh Burke.
HMS Tulion II
Another Jahandar class destroyer (1,000), HMS Tulion II is armed with 45 (400*) BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles, 45 (450) BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles, a 5"/54 caliber Mark 45 lightweight gun, two 25 mm chain guns, four .50 caliber machine guns, two 20 mm Phalanx Close-In Weapons Systems and two Mark 32 triple torpedo tubes. She also carries a UH-1N Twin Huey utility helicopter (60) that has been modified for anti-submarine warfare. Sensors, electronic warfare and decoy systems are similar to those of the USS Arleigh Burke.
HMS Ghazi Baqir
A Sindhugosh class submarine, HMS Ghazi Baqir (500) is armed with sixteen Mark 48 advanced capability heavyweight torpedoes (via four 21 inch torpedo tubes), five BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles (25*) and five BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles (50). Sensors and processing systems include BQQ-5 passive SONAR, BQS-15 detecting and ranging SONAR, WLR-8 fire control RADAR receiver, WLR-9 acoustic receiver for detection of active search SONAR and acoustic homing torpedoes, and BRD-7 radio direction finder. Electronic warfare and decoys include a WLR-10 contermeasures set. Beyond that, the Sindhugosh class more or less matches the capabilities of the Kilo Class.
HMS Nouradin
A Sindhugosh class submarine, HMS Nouradin (500) is armed with sixteen Mark 48 advanced capability heavyweight torpedoes (via four 21 inch torpedo tubes), five BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles (25*) and five BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles (50).
HMS Stella Artois
Tribune class oiler = noncombatant.
HMS Chitral
Chitral class replenishment ship = noncombatant.
HMS Magadha
Magadha class ammunition ship = noncombatant; however, among its ammunition load are an additional 50 BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles (500), 50 BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles (500) and 50 Storm Shado cruise missiles (300) as resupply ordinance for the ships that use them.
Strength Summary
HMS Vanguard [Flagship] - 7,070
HMS Farhang - 500**
HMS Jahandar - 1,910
HMS Khan-Osmansk - 1,910
HMS Tulion II - 1,910
HMS Ghazi Baqir - 575
HMS Nouradin - 575

HMS Chitral - 0
HMS Magadha - 1,300
Total - 15,750
Marine Expeditionary Unit Farhang
Command Element
The Command Element, which includes the MEU commander and his supporting staff, provides command and control over the other three elements. It includes specialized detachments for naval gunfire, reconnaissance, surveillance, specialized communications, radio reconnaissance (SIGINT), electronic warfare, intelligence and counterintelligence, and public affairs missions. The overall strength is about 200 Marines (600).
Ground Combat Element
The Ground Combat Element is based around the Battalion Landing Team, an infantry battalion reinforced with two artillery batteries, combat engineer platoon, light armored reconnaissance company, tank platoon, reconnaissance platoon, and other units as the mission and circumstances require. The total strength is approximately 1,300 Marines (3,900), four M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks (200), twenty LAV-25 armored personnel carriers (300), six M777 howitzers (60) and eight M198 howitzers (80).
Aviation Combat Element
The Aviation Combat Element comprises ten AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters (750) and nineteen UH-1N Twin Huey utility helicopters (1,140).
Logistics Combat Element
The Logistics Combat Element contains all the logistics specialists and equipment necessary for the unit to support itself for 15 days in an austere expeditionary environment. It includes service support, medical, dental, maintenance, transportation, explosive ordinance disposal, military police, utilities production and distribution, bulk fuels, and other technical experts. It consists of approximately 300 Marines (900).
Strength Summary
Command Element - 600
Ground Combat Unit - 4,540
Aviation Combat Element - 1,890
Logistics Combat Element - 900
Total - 7,930
Notes:
* - Subtracting the cost of the free cruise missiles that came with the ship.
** - Educated guess (since an LHD is essentially half an aircraft carrier).
Grand total strength = 23,680
All of the above assets of the Babkhan Imperial Navy, including MEU Farhang, shall have Susa as their starting position. MEU Farhang, more specifically, shall have HMS Farhang as its starting position.
General Morale Note
It should be noted that Babkha has a long history of both militarism and victory. One ought to imagine that Babkhan children would, from an early age, be raised pretty much to be soldiers and sailors in a manner slightly reminiscent of (although it breaks every rule of Babkhan society to compare Babkha to the Greeks) Sparta. Moreover, due to Babkha's long history of military prowess, it ought to be recognized that a significant portion of any Babkhan force would probably be battle-hardened veterans. Finally, it should be noted that the historic militaristic themes at play in Babkha would most likely produce a society which deeply supports its military, thus raising the factor of strong support from the home front.

National Form - Kingdom of Babkha
I was waiting to see if either Hesam or Ardy wanted to fill this out for Babkha, but I guess I will.
Anunia Convention - National Form
1. Does your nation have Existing National Defences? (III.A) If so, place a link to them below.
I'm not sure if this exists anywhere that's publicly accessible, although the command centre, where it was originally posted by Ardashir, was publicly accessible for a while. So I'll just repost the map and key information.
Blue Circles = Radar Coverage
Green Circles = Interception range of fixed SAM network
White Circles = Projection range of "Telsa Coils" (ask Ardy if you have any questions about this)
2. Does your nation have city descriptions, regional descriptions, terrain maps or other things detailing your land that you would like the enemy to know, and that can't be inferred from the MCS Physical Map? (III.A) If so, place a link to a page listing them below.
I'm not sure.
3. Please name below every citizen of your nation who could possibly participate in the war. (III.D). Also note which region they will start in (if you don't use personal regions, mark this "Capital") (IV.M).
Myself (III.D), Susa (IV.M)
Possibly Ben Gray (III.D), Kamalshahr (IV.M)
BTW, if Ben does join in, does that mean that he has to be given units that are already orbatted, or can units be added after he joins in? If the former, would it be possible for me to add an aircraft carrier (1,000) and some aircraft as mothballed units that can't be activated until he joins in? If so, I'd like to add the aircraft carrier (let's just say it's standard to save some time) HMS Osman and fifty F-14 Tomcat multi-role fighters in such a capacity.
4. If your nation offers anything in the situation it loses, please list it below (II.C).
Nothing.
5. Other Reminders:
A. If any of your forces meet the following conditions, they qualify to count as more experienced. Note this in your orbat. (III.E,F)
i. Have fought and survived a previous Recwar which was not too recent as to have sapped morale.
All units have been used in previous recwars.
ii. Had a backstory of reasonable quality written for them explaining their training/origin/loyalty, and why they are more experienced than a normal unit.
Already covered this.
iii. Participated in regular training exercises in their nation.
Yes.
B. If you wish to share some of your points with someone else in your nation, note that in your orbat (and preferably post your orbat together) (IV.B)
Ok, I'll repost the orbat and note it here that if Ben Gray should join in his capacity as a Babkhan, I give the balance of my unused points to him.
C. If you are using non-standard units (ie any not mentioned specifically by name in the Convention), either provide a link to them (if real world), or a description (if invented) of basic capabilities. If you intend to use your unit in a way that is not a standard feature, please note that as well. (IV.E,F)
Well, this is unlikely as i do not presently plan to go anywhere where there might be ice (although this may be subject to change), but due to the lack of icebreakers, I would have to use the battleship's guns to break any ice I run into, if that counts?

Orbat (Repost)
And if Ben Gray should join in, add:Task Force Vanguard
HMS Stella Artois
Tribune class oiler = noncombatant.
HMS Chitral
Chitral class replenishment ship = noncombatant.
HMS Magadha
Magadha class ammunition ship = noncombatant; however, among its ammunition load are an additional 50 BGM-109C Tomahawk cruise missiles (500), 50 BGM-109D Tomahawk cruise missiles (500) and 50 Storm Shado cruise missiles (300) as resupply ordinance for the ships that use them.
Strength Summary

HMS Osman
Aircraft carrier, standard.

In accordance with the Imperial Republic of Shireroth's decision to intervene in support of the cause of Amokolian Independence
The Khan of Vijayanagara wrote:Given this day Somnisday, 26 Qarbinionsmoon, in the year 3674 ASC at Shirekeep
Mindful of our Steward's Imperial Decree #388 of 3761 ASC in which we did confer recognition upon the Provisional Authority of Amokolia as a sovereign entity newly restored to independence, and mindful of the state of war into which our neighbour the Republic of Ashkenatza has entered against the Ocian Federation in support of the righteous cause of Amokolian independence we do hereby authorise the deployment of Imperial Forces on military duties through out the continent of Benacia, excluding those territories of our brother members of the Small Commonwealth whose permission must be solicitously sought prior to any deployment or transit.
Authorised deployments shall take place with the aim of
1. Restoring the Public Peace & Common Weal amongst our Benacian neighbours;
2. Guaranteeing Amokolian independence;
3. Terminating the war on our frontiers at the earliest opportunity.
This order shall remain in effect for thirty days hence or until it is countermanded, whichever happens soonest.
It is so ordered.

Kaiser Gaelen III wrote:A safe, stable Benacia is paramount to our national security. The last thing we want as a neighbour is a disaffected Amokolia under the rule of the politically unstable Ocia, liable to lash out at little provocation and difficult to trade and cooperate with. Decrees #388 and #391 have my blessing; Shireroth and Ocia are in a state of war.
However, there is one amendment to this decree that's necessary: Ocia is certain to understand that this is not a war we're willing to sacrifice everything for. Just from political reasoning it does not seem out of the question they would attempt an attack against Shirithian civilians to pressure us to withdraw... and being that the war will be fought near our borders, it seems they have every chance to do this if we don't defend our lands.
Hence the MoMA has privilege to take any amount of forces it requires to ensure homeland safety first; attack against Ocian forces is only second priority, unless of course it turns out to be the best defense. I do not require any field commander to split their forces, but those that are feeling up to the challenge of using a diminished force should make the requisite arrangements with MoMA - this is their chance to show their talent.
Anunia Convention - National Form [Imperial Republic of Shireroth Imperial Forces]
If these structures are to affect orbatted units, they must also be within the reality constraints placed on the war as a whole, otherwise the entire offending thing [that is, the person/object/defensive structure that includes an element outside the reality constraints placed on the war as a whole] is considered not to exist for the purposes of orbatted units.Yes. Missile defence infrastructure not to be utilised in this campaign, at present, but there is at each SDI Battery a functioning PAVE PAWS system and at each "Z Site" a AN/FPS-117 Radar. See map for site locations.
2. Does your nation have city descriptions, regional descriptions, terrain maps or other things detailing your land that you would like the enemy to know, and that can't be inferred from the MCS Physical Map? (III.A) If so, place a link to a page listing them below.
Either copy all your descriptions into one thread, or provide links to each of them. This can be in the same post as your Existing National Defence3. Please name below every citizen of your nation who could possibly participate in the war. (III.D). Also note which region they will start in (if you don't use personal regions, mark this "Capital") (IV.M). Any citizens not mentioned here who join the war later may be refused entry by the enemy. If you find yourself attacking any particular location in Shireroth, please consult the wiki. There are a number of splendid maps. I shall see if I can find them.4. If your nation offers anything in the situation it loses, please list it below (II.C). Anything not listed here can only be ceded by your agreement after the war.The Volunteers:
Gman Russell, Eastern Absentia, Duchy of Yardistan
Leo Dine, Araxion, Duchy of Elwynn
Erik Mortis, Monty Crisco, Duchy of Brookshire
Malliki Tosha, Shirekeep, Imperial Counties
Others may become involved if their feudal holdings are subject to enemy action. For details of the remainder of the citizenry see here.5. Other Reminders:Not presently.

Re: Order of Battle: Republic of Ashkenatza
Everyone of course remembers that if you list SAM or other anti-missile stuff in your Existing National Defence, that you still have to orbat it, because its a unit (where as radar in Existing National Defence is fine).
On an unrelated note - Ardy, I'd be interested to know what SAMs Babkha was using to get that range of defence on the map. I've tried doing a similar map for Novatainia before, but all the SAMs we could find had a shorter range ...

If they were in use, the missile defence would have been equipped with reverse engineered IKOL missiles pinched from Shireroth during the reign of Kaiser Hasan.Andreas the Wise wrote:Everyone of course remembers that if you list SAM or other anti-missile stuff in your Existing National Defence, that you still have to orbat it, because its a unit (where as radar in Existing National Defence is fine).
