Early in the morning, as Generalissimo Radchenko was sitting down to read progress reports of active field soldiers, he received a phone call from a highly decorated comrade he served with during the Katyushan annihilation.
“Generalissimo Radchenko... I must report that the disgusting Zionist monsters have penetrated the homeland... however good news arrives from our commanders in the 2nd Gorenska armored brigade. His troops are in position to, along with the 3rd Dalmantiska brigade, encircle Lucern and exterminate hostilities that lie within. With the support of the 1st Koroska brigade, the enemy will find itself quite overwhelmed...â€
“Excellent news Polkovnik (Colonel) Zakharov. Have them begin the assault tonight, not one, repeat, NOT ONE Ashkenatzi soldier is to be taken prisoner. Encircle and defend Lucern and set up a bulwark of forces to defend from any kind of reinforcements. Also, to secure the homefront, arrange for the 1st Alpinska Armored Brigade to remain reinforcing Posavje and send the 4th Notranskja Brigade to Lugano via bullet train. They will reinforce the city untill otherwise reassigned.â€
“Very well, comrade Radchenko.â€
“Please Yuri, call me Kolya. After serving all these years with such an impressive and detached demeanor, the damned zionist fascists and their hopeless Hammish stooges will burn under our combined tactics!â€
not long after this phone call, the commanders in charge of overseeing the pincer movement to utterly wipe out all hostile ashkenatzi and hammish reported in to Colonel Zakharov and generalissimo radchenko in a video conference. it was the esteemed Major Vostrikov leading in the frontlines. a welcomed sight to the Generalissimo and Colonel both, as his rage and unquestionable devotion has NEVER failed in the past.
"Generalissimo Radchenko, Colonel Zakharov, request permission to carry out orders in defense of the motherland"
Colonel Zakharov stepped in, “Carry out your patriotic Duty."
Within moments, the Keyhole image satellite picked up live interface of the battlefield. The Ocian soldiers were marked with IR strobes, were moving from their positions to an entrance into the center of lucern. The fighting has started. Many soldiers scattered for cover and set up behind defenses preexisting within lucern. the brave ocian soldiers fearlessly blind fired for a sort of covering fire and moved building by building.
The esteemed Major Vostrikov had a line directly to Generalissimo Radchenko’s home phone.
“Comrade Generalissimo, I very gladly report the tremendous progress we have been making in the Lucern conflict. This was no doubt due to your outright strategic genius and the unresting rage that lies within every ocian soldier who has sworn to defend the federation until their last dying breaths. I look forward to whatever pitiful and untrained reinforcements they may send to reinforce their lost soldiers.â€
“You are doing a great deed to your homeland, and your efforts will not go unnoticed. You have earned the attention of every ocian newspaper, as you and your men will be on the front page nationally, for your courage and bravery. Even president kovac has expressed his utmost gratification to your efforts. The entire unit has the potential to receive hero of the ocian federationâ€
As the major speechlessly accepted such a gesture by the generalissimo, an uproar of patriotic cheers and rage filled war cries can be heard over the phone. The Generalissimo smiles with a sense of great pride and satisfaction to command such an amazing and glorious military.
Summary:
2nd Goreska Armored brigade, 3rd dalmantiska brigade and 1st koroska brigade encircle Lucern in pincer movement
1st Alpinska Armoured Brigade stay at Posavje and the 4th Notranskja Brigade move to Lugano by train.

In a moment...
EDIT:
- 1 fighter shot down by Ocian trainbased AA missile (Montague's).
- Strikeforce launched against train convoy (Montague's). Heavy damage inflicted to both the train and the railway.
EDIT:
Jr Lieutenant Allatius had an itch on his nose. He wanted to scratch it so badly. Ignoring it only seemed to make it worse. The itch spread down the bridge. Now it itched around his right nostril.
His patrol flight was making one last pass over central Alpinska. Their accompanying Manticore was several kilometers to their west. They were one turn away from heading back to Lucern, where the Ashkenatzi had set up a forward airbase. It proved to be more useful than flying all the way back to Koldoff. Something began to illuminate his plane from ahead. Lt Allatius checked his instruments. There weren't supposed to be any RADAR stations ahead of them, friendly or otherwise.
"All fighters, break!" Called out Snr Lt Strymonia, the Flight leader. On the RADAR screen, a number of blips started approaching them from at or near the RADAR source. Missiles. Targetting RADAR locked on. Three of the missiles were heading straight for him, very quickly. He locked onto one of them and fired a Sidewinder, and then once it was away Allatius pulled back and left on the yoke, and once pointing away from the incoming missiles, he pushed the throttle to maximum and hit the afterburner. The sidewinder took out one of the missiles. Two more were closing on him fast.
"Allatius, I'm coming!" It sounded like Strymonia, but Allatius didn't have time to think about that. He released some chaff and performed a roll to the left. Neither of the missiles went for it. Less than fifteen seconds. A streak passed Allatius on the right side and knocked one of the missiles out. Strymonia's fighter then blurred by him. The last one refused to shake. Allatius eyed the yellow and black striped handle. His hand gripped it right as the missile plowed through his plane.
"It looks like they have active anti-aircraft missile platforms on those trains." Lt Paleon reported. "At the speed they're going, they should be reaching this area within a few hours. One of the Manticores reported picking up radio transmissions and intermittent aircraft signatures moving around there. Probably helicopters. Not a lot of them, though."
"Securing a position near Lucern on the rail line. Come off the train there, assemble and approach Lucern, probably while we concentrate our attention on the movements of the rest of the Ocian Army, which have been fairly noisy in comparison. These units move with barely a peep." Commodore Octavius looked over the information. "One flight for ground support. Load up on bombs, specifically. One flight for air support in case the Ocians launch some aircraft." He glanced at one of the maps that the Ashkenatzi had forwarded, describing the information that they had on Ocian SAM batteries. "Add a third flight as reserve air support."
Lt Paleon nodded and relayed the orders to the ordnance loaders on the field.
SummarySnr Lt Caurius said. "Flight One, accelerate forward to initial attack position and fire at will. Flight Two holds back to provide cover. Flight Three, take position further back to provide reserve cover." In the distance, the railway was a dark line on slightly less dark ground, and the long train going along it was an even darker line slowly drifting over the dark line. The air was completely clear of any fighters or SAMs.
"Flight One, Weapons Free." The four fighters of Flight One were heavily laden. They began to be illuminated by RADAR from all along the length of the train. Each fighter of Flight One had four HARMs on their wings. One by one, they fired them. Each sought out a different RADAR source along the length of the train, aiming straight for them at over Mach 2. Some of the sixteen HARMs were shot down by the missile emplacements on the train, but most of them found their targets.
"Flight Two, Weapons Free." The four fighters of Flight Two were also heavily laden, but in air-to-air missiles. A few of the remaining online RADAR sources continued to illuminate Flight One. A few missiles shot out from the length of the train. Flight Two accelerated forward and matched each one with a Sidewinder. Flight One was armed with six Sidewinders each, but those were a last resort.
Flight One reached optimal range to fire the Maverick missiles. Each fighter had two, one on each wing. By now, the pilots of Flight One had locked their targets on the parts of the train where the anti-air missiles fired from. Once in range, they fired their first missile, then their second missile.
A second spread of Ocian defense missiles shot forth. Less than the first. These were also shot down. Two of Flight Two's fighters pulled back, low on Sidewinders. "Flight Three, move forward to provide cover."
Flight One began to fly evasive patterns to avoid target lock. The train was already stopped from the damage, but most of the train itself was intact. Flight One's fighters opened their internal bays. Inside were two quad racks of 129kg smart bombs. In sequence, Flight One dropped them along the length of the train as well as the surrounding railway.
A few anti-air missiles fired up as a third volley. Flight Three shot them down. One of Flight One's fighters had to use its own Sidewinders, though.
"Strikeforce Leader, Strikeforce Manticore. Picking up enemy fighters on long range."
"Strikeforce, pull back to base. Flights Two and Three provide cover." Flights Two and Three still had a full load of AMRAAMs and their remaining Sidewinders.
- 1 fighter shot down by Ocian trainbased AA missile (Montague's).
- Strikeforce launched against train convoy (Montague's). Heavy damage inflicted to both the train and the railway.

Astopov looked admist the savage, construtivist flat blocks of outer Leucern, down onto the beautiful vista of sunny fields beyond. Leucern, like most over Ocian settlements, was a cornucopia of subterfuge and civic neglect, like a wart upon the beautiful inner Keltican landscape. The tricking flow of his troopers, returning from the countryside as they had been working on minefields and observation posts, in nervous anticipation of the Ocian deluge that was about to come pouring out of the heartland of the country. However, if there was going to be a deluge, it was clearly going to be coming not from the east, but from the frozen west of Koldoff and Hamland - from the busy air bridge recently established with Benacia. Wave after wave of "Fat Menachem" transports disgorged the troops of +I corps and the remaining Ashkentazi forces left behind in Benecia, disgourged with the rapidity of ill-spelt and formed Ocian propoganda from the radio stations of "Doctor" Kovacs. As Hoffman and his squad stepped out of the whirring cacophany of rotor blades that had characterised airbase Omiricon-Mu in Leucern, the pair exchanged glances and clasped hands. With a wry smile, both men looked at the logistic marvel unfolding in front of them. The now infamous words of Herr Goltz "Iz Gut..." were the only words uttered by the pair...
Summary:
- +I corps arrives in Lucern. Astopov gives information to their commanders on the tactical and political situation within the Keltican theatre.
- The BM-27 Uragans from the 17th and 18th Landvekherner Teyls, 6th Division, are placed in fortified positions with sandbags, RPG and GPMG teams in the streets overlooking the eastern, north-eastern and south-eastern approaches to Leucern.
- All Okubwagons from the 15th and 16th Landveherner Teyls, 6th Division, are sent to scout 50 miles ahead to observe and report back on any movements by the enemy.
- Ocian civilians are evacuated in groups of 200 from Lucern, and are put up in camps and villages around the Hamlandic boarder. The citizens are provided with ample supplies from the Theoclymenos route, electric generators and temporary housing. Herr Astopov assures them that their houses will remain unscathed by the war as much as is realistic, and that they will be able to take most of their property to the aforementioned camps. Those who wish to stay behind are more than welcome to do so, but the Ashenatzi armed forces cannot guarantee their safety regarding the current status of war between Ocia and Ashkenatza, as well as her allies.
What about the units contained within? Surely they should take some casualties?Heavy damage inflicted to both the train and the railway.

Summary0400hrs Notranskja
Rot Squadron of the Ocian People’s Wings of Freedom
PA: Scramble, Scramble, Scramble!
5 Enemy Tangos Penetrated Ocian Airspace. Intercept, Neutralize and Maintain Air superiority over Ocian Airspace, Godspeed.
Lt. Drnovšek arose from his bunk spontaneously to a very familiar sound. He had done this draining routine countless times during Svobodna 09’This time however it was no drill, his motherland, his home and his family was threatened by an attack of a Squadron of 5 enemy Tangos.
He sprinted towards the hanger under the early morning sky with dawn just breaking over the Ocian alps. He glided up his step ladder and quickly strapped himself into his modern cockpit. Seconds’ later Air Traffic control at the tower swiftly gave him clearance for take off and he pushed forward the throttle of his well maintained fighter and took off on the runway. Just 1 minute and 30 seconds after being in his bunk he was airborne and at the brunt of his 5 man squadron. He briefed Rot Squadron as they cruised up to 15 000ft and Increased their speed to 2 000km/h. "This is Ltn. Drnovšek call sign Rot one, we have 5 enemy tangos which just entered Ocian airspace, our orders are to neutralize the targets and maintain air superiority before they carry out their mission. As soon as we are in range we are clear to engage."
Just 5 Minutes later, Rot intercepted the enemy fighters and Rot One calmly conveyed orders to his squadron of aces, “Rot 2-4 break off, lock on and neutralize targets, we are receiving backup from the 1st Air Support Squadron in Premorksa, they scrambled 4 minutes ago and should be here momentarily.†Shortly after his transmission, Rot one broke off and engaged the bulky Ashkenatzi tango. It was the lead. Rot one dived 500 ft and tried to make a lock on the target, but no joy, the enemy fighter was taking evasive maneuvers. Making a quick judgment, Rot one squeezed on his trigger and fired a hail of machine gun fire at the enemy, violently striking it’s tail sending it to yield right uncontrollably. He then adjusted his fighter’s direction and got a solid lock. “Fox two! Fox Two!†exclaimed rot one as he fired two air to air missiles at the enemy annihilating the plane before the pilot could evade. “This is Rot One Splashed the tango lead.â€
Moments later support from the 1st Premorska Air Support Squadron Arrived. The fellow air force lead radioed in, “Rot one, this is Bravo 1 we are under your command. Request permission to engage†“your clear to engage†replied Rot one. Rot Five quickly butted in, I can’t shake a tango on my six, requesting support, both leads quickly jolted to the right and locked on the target once again calling out “Fox two, Fox Two!†and once again destroying the target. Shortly after Rot 3 Radioed in, “I managed to splash one, but a tango’s machine gun fire clipped my wing, I need to pullout,†“Roger, proceed to Posavje Underground Bunker replied Rot one.†The 10 Fighters then spread out and chased after the remaining 3 fighters. With 4 Pilots from the 1st Support Squadron forcing a tango to descend making it prone to SAM and AA fire from the Lugano Air Defence Unit which eventually brought it down. Rot two reported, “The bogies cut and run without delivering their payload, should we trail them back into Hammish Airspace?†“Negative.†Replied Rot one, “we need to secure Ocian Federation Airspace, 1st support squadron report to Posavje Underground Bunker.†“Rot Squadron we need to secure the airspace until High command clears us to land.â€
-5 Fighters from the Ocian Rot squadron stationed in Notranskja Scramble to intercept Incoming A3 Ashkenatzi fighters equipped with Bunker busters.
-5 Fighters from the 1st Air Support squadron assist and they splash 3 tangos.
-2 Ashkenatzi tangos cut and run
-The Ocian Air Force maintains control over its airspace.

Kovac... just fire your missiles, but dont claim damages on them.. say that your aircrafts engaged the enemy aircrafts and fired missiles at them.. then give the opponent 24 hours (real world time) to respond to your missiles.. if they dont, then claim the damages as you see fit... please edit your post accordingly.

SummaryFor the first six hours after arriving in Koldoff, Admiral Kufu Khan worked to prepare his marines mentally for what they were about to enter. "The coalition is large and you will probably not be afforded a wealth of targets" he noted, "but be prepared for anything."
After briefing the marines, he set them off on their journey towards the border. Knowing that MEU Farhang would simply be used as a reinforcement unit for the coalition presence, he decided to send a note with the unit's commander, assigning the unit to the chain of command of whatever Ashkenatzi commander needs the reinforcements (under the condition that the Admiral can resume authority over the marines at any time).
Meanwhile, the Admiral took much time considering what to do with his special forces units. Four teams were given false Alexandrian passports and flown to Geneva dressed as tourists on commercial airliners (as it turned out, the fake passports were of a high enough quality that even the Alexandrians couldn't figure out they were fake). From Geneva, they took a commercial flight to Directus; from Directus, one team took a flight to November City, another to Rijeka and another to Notranskja, while the fourth remained in Directus. At all stops in their journeys they employed bribery to allow for their luggage to avoid inspection.
The whereabouts of the other twelve special forces teams, as well as the exact location within the respective cities of the four that infiltrated, is undisclosed.
MEU Farhang joining Askenatzi forces as reinforcement unit.
At least four Babkhan special forces units infiltrated into Ocia, although the location of the other twelve is unknown.

[Very busy- got plenty of packing to do and Yom Kippur soon so lots to do- forgive me if I don't write a story, lads ]
SUMMARY:
- Two Ashkenatzi Dipou A3s grounded. Remaining three Dipou's take immediate evasive action Lamed-Gimel (a la Giora Epstein), sharply veering off into a steep bank before turning 270 degrees and entering a near stall just behind the Ocian attackers and fires two guided torpedoes each at three Ocian hostiles.
- Two secret moves regarding the oncoming defence of Lucern against Kolya's counterattack (Guido, check your PM)

Re: Official war thread
OOC: You ask whether you're godmodding, Chrim? Course you are! I could probably build up a case on the fact you've seemingly launched 3 waves of attack in 1 post and have already claimed my damages are heavy. You've also decided to place all my forces on the same train despite the fact they're travelling from two different places. Add to that you've written my own defence for me, have taken very low casualties and decided that Antican fighters can now shoot supersonic SAMs out of the sky. Why is it that you and I always end up in judicial interpretation? To avoid it, you need to remove the completely unrealistic idea that my SAMs can be shot out the sky and take greater casualties from my SAMs as a result. Then I'll post my damages.
War Post
Lieutenant Georgiy Dragonov had assembled his squad of 10 men at the railroad junction and was sitting on a few crates of supplies that had been dropped in. At the moment, 6 Company were using the paradropped Land Rovers to gather all the supplies that had been dropped including the remaining Land Rovers. They had all been dropped either side of the railyard and junction in an area a square mile large. They were used to the hardship though, being Special Forces. Whether the air transports that had dropped them had got away cleanly was unknown to him as there had been reports of enemy air activity in the region. Major Leonid Wintrovsky came and sat down to the Lieutenant who was now puffing away on a unfiltered cigarette. It was a dirty habit but it wiled away the hours when there was nothing else to do.
“Are your men ready, Dragonov?†asked Wintrovsky. He was responsible for the first of 20 50-man Special Operation Groups in the Regiment.
“Da, Major. They are preparing their weapons now. As soon as you give the order they are ready to deploy to their objectives.†Replied Lieutenant Dragonov.
“Any news on your brother?†asked Wintrovsky, fully aware that Dragonov’s brother had been at La Terre.
“Niet, Comrade. The Ashkenatzi have not yet published the names of their Prisoners.†Replied Dragonov.
“If he is as good as you, Dragonov, he will be fine.†replied Wintrovsky, aiming to instil some confidence in one of his most promising officers.
“Thank you, Major. He is better.†Answered Dragonov.
“Well, the Ashkenatzi will have been given a beating by him. We’re waiting for the Dalmantian Corps to arrive before we begin operations. They should be here soon. Until then, keep your men ready.†replied Wintrovsky before walking off to find Colonel Sinkov and get the plans for the mission his unit was going to carry out. As he walked by, a Lynx took off followed by another one and then an Apache. They’d provide some reconnaissance for him he hoped.
Summary:
2nd Special Purposes Regiment, Army Air Support Regiment and Dalmantian Cavalry all arrive at the railyard junction (from now on to be called Little Lucern). It is assumed that Chrimigules attacked the Dalmantian Artillery.
2nd Special Purposes Regiment splits into its 20 SOGs with their moves to be forwarded to the judge.
1 Apache and 2 Lynx from AASR conduct an armed reconnaissance towards Lucerne, flying behind Kolya’s central force. The Apache engages the Antican helicopter with a Sidewinder and Stinger Missile. Meanwhile, the Lynxs discover the location of Omicron Mu airbase before retreating to Kolya’s central position and firing cannons and emptying 2 CRV7 rocket pods at forward positions of Ashkenatzi forces.
Dalmantian Armoured Cavalry assembles at Little Lucern.

Re: Official war thread
OOC: You stated that you were switching to SA-11s. I looked them up and got this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SA-11. It says that they have a speed of Mach 3 (3 675 km/h) and while the article says that they have a range of between 30 and 42 kilometers based on the model, you had said that they have a range of 50 km.
Doing the math, that means that at maximum range...
50km X 1hr/3675km = 0.013605442 hr = 48.979591837 seconds
the missiles take about 48-49 seconds to reach their targets.
That would be enough time to fire response missiles, especially if they are anticipated. HARMs also have a greater range than SA-11s, and thus they could be fired before I even came into your maximum range. If you'd like, I can change my post to say that I simply fired HARMs at the train whenever one of RADAR systems on the train tried to illuminate one of my fighters.
I gave you a freebie by downing one of my own fighters from no attack made by you. I reported no casualties on your part, simply that a lot of explosives were dumped on and around the train. And Because I had gotten back from classes too late to attack your main force (because you were smart enough to give actual times), I was expecting that this would be your artillery anyway.
An overly fast reaction time between initial encounter and the attack can be fairly easily explained in that in order to support the Ashkenatzi position at Lucern, I would need to have fighters geared up for ground support, and since you Ocians have your own aircraft, that I would have fighters geared up for aerial battle. I simply would have to retask some of what I had on alert at base to that. You could even argue that I temporarily weakened the defense of Lucern because I didn't give myself enough time to kit up a unit for attack separate from a unit to defend.
Yes, I did write your own defence for you, but can you realistically argue that if you detected a large aerial attack force coming to attack you, you wouldn't prepare to shoot them down? You specified that the anti-air systems would be active on the train. Data says that the SA-11s are semi-active radar homing, meaning that the missiles' targets have to be illuminated for them, making their radar systems perfect targets for an anti-radiation missile.
So I'm not sure what the problem is.

Also, the Anticans weren't the only ones who attacked the train line- I sent some squads to detonate rail lines into Lucern over 24 hours ago and no action was taken so we can assume that the lines are broken.
The Ashkenatzi troops don't have 'forward positions' as such- we're not maintaining that kind of strategy to repel the Ocian counterattack. Read my post on the Siege of Grozny tactics.Meanwhile, the Lynxs discover the location of Omicron Mu airbase before retreating to Kolya’s central position and firing cannons and emptying 2 CRV7 rocket pods at forward positions of Ashkenatzi forces

Re: Official war thread
OOC: I never mentioned 50km. I used wikipedia too and the only reference to 50km is for experimental missiles not ready for another 2 years and missiles for the SA-17.
You may speak of the closing distance being 48-49 seconds for my missiles travelling from the train to a stationery target 50km away but from what I can tell you haven't factored in the closing distance of first your own aircraft and then any missiles launched to attack the SAMs. Added to that you're firing Sidewinders which are fire and forget infra-red missiles. If anything they're going to lock onto the engines of your Flight One which are directly facing them by your accounts before they lock onto the missile exhausts.
The issue is your lack of realistic losses despite initiating an attack which presumed my defence. Your attack was brilliantly executed which would have created a very difficult circumstance for my defence but I still would have got off missiles at you which would have created heavier losses to your Flight One. In your actual attack, you receive NO damages!
If we can't solve it after this post we may as well take the attack to the judge. Its not that I disagree that you can make such an attack but you've taken the liberty of writing my defence, no matter how close it would have been to mine, without being polite enough to accept necessary losses.
EDIT: OOC: Max, you never mentioned actually blowing up the railway lines just that you were sending some SFs to do it. Besides, I'd spoken with you earlier in the day about the 24 hour thing and you only sought to point out that it was the fighters which were exempt from it. How did they get past Kolya's forces also?
You may speak of the closing distance being 48-49 seconds for my missiles travelling from the train to a stationery target 50km away but from what I can tell you haven't factored in the closing distance of first your own aircraft and then any missiles launched to attack the SAMs. Added to that you're firing Sidewinders which are fire and forget infra-red missiles. If anything they're going to lock onto the engines of your Flight One which are directly facing them by your accounts before they lock onto the missile exhausts.

In Battle; Unbeatable.
In Victory; Unbearable.

Re: Official war thread
Because Kolya's forces hadn't at that time encircled Lucern. Plus, his prime attack was discounted by Extreme and everyone else as it was G-dmodding. Additionally, he hasn't posted anything about destroying said squads, and since over 24 hours has passed I think we can reasonably assume that they've carried out their mission successfully. How did they get past Kolya's forces also?
It's that simple. I sent them off to carry out those orders, awaited a response, when none occurred, I waited 24 hours, so the attack should have been successful. I don't see a problem here.
These technical minutæ are getting fairly tedious.
Plus, you still haven't stated what you meant when you attacked the Ashkenatzi 'forward positions'. What fprward positions?
This isn't a traditional frontal defence of Lucern my troops are mounting here...

OOC:
Hmmm. I miscalculated. Mach 3 is 3 186 km/h. 3 675 km/h is Mach 3.45. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let's say that the fighters were flying at full speed with afterburners, which they weren't.
Mach 4.67 (3 + 1.67) = 4959.54 km/h (so says this website http://www.globalaircraft.org/converter.htm)
50km x 1hr/4959.54km = 0.01008158 hr = 36.293688528 seconds
Though if we do go with the actual maximum range for the SA-11 of 30-42km, then I could have fired missiles and dropped bombs without any problems. The HARM has a range of 106 km and the Small Diameter Bomb has a range of 110 km.
Yeah, I suppose that I could rewrite my post to correct its inaccuracies.

"Everything I have seen and read so far convinces me that what we are about to do is suicide."
"I see, but we are going to do it anyway?"
"Oh yes..." [Cue Manic Laughter]
[Narrative to follow later]
Summary:
Any Ocian worth his salt observing air radar traffic yesterday would have noted the inward track of 25 large contacts arriving at Koldoff from the south at around 1700hrs local time (arriving care of a secret move). Three hours later those same contacts would reappear on the screen again heading south on a reverse bearing of their original course. Would that Ocian radar operator notice when 25 suddenly became 17? Diving suddenly, gut-wrenchingly, and banking sharply onto a new course 8 AST-Fat Menachem of Ashkenatzisher Shlakhter Fliikkraft Air Logistics Command began an attempt that is best characterised as aiming to almost literally crash onto the runway at Omicron Mu. A slightly unorthodox tactic in order to deplane an advance party of 368 Special Forces Infantry 1st Onfaler Teyl 'Noken Schwartzbard' + Feldmarshall Pachad Emet ben Mavet, as well as 8 Gringpansers onto the runway, as emergency reinforcements.
Chaff and countermeasures are deployed on the approach run. The intention being to conduct a short landing and hurried take off... or if all else fails, crash and pray.
The remainder of the newly arrived force is at Koldoff and will be advancing by slightly more sane means.
