Re: Official war thread
Night turned to day, and after waiting nearly an entire day, Major Vostrikov picked up the phone. For the oddest reason, the Generalissimo wasn’t answering. Nobody was, but finally, after calling the Directrus Office of The National Defense Commission, the Generalissimo’s adjutant stated where they had moved.
“Oh god... Generalissimo Radchenko is coming here?... I am to meet at the alpinska regional command bunker? Yes Lieutenant Kovalov, I will prepare the bunker for his arrival.â€
After several top players in the Ocian Special Forces arrived to secure the scene, he arrived. Clad in his white “Sunday†uniform with all of his polished medals, and his elite bodyguard unit sporting the stainless steel AK-108, he and Colonel Zakharov stepped out of the underground armored train and marched straight to the situations briefing room.
“Did you have a pleasant journey comrade generalissimo?â€
“Less than adequate considering the manner of my visit, comrade Major. I came because I want to personally give the order to commence the upcoming operation. Are my armored divisions within flanking position of the city?â€
“Yes comrade, they are awaiting orders to drive out of the tunnel networks. How will we go about securing the city?â€
“Start the dispersal of the tanks to create an encirclement of the city, then have the artillery batteries start an active fire test, target Lucern. Place what remains of the city into rubble.â€
“A very detached plan comrade generalissimo! I can see why you have gained such prestige, this is a plan that only you would have the capability to do. I will position the artillery to crush the city.â€
“Remove them from the underground entrenchments when I give the fire order, I want them to have as little time to evacuate as possible, the more who get stuck in the firestorm, the less will be left for clean up.â€
“As you wish, sir.â€
*Major Vostrikov sets up a mass broadcast to all active units participating in the artillery bombardment*
“Attention all units. The time of waiting is over, and this is now a military operation of the utmost importance, that may shape the course of this war. As executor of this operation, it is my duty to tell you that mercy is no option, and your people depend on you to rid our lands of this attempted oppression.â€
A massive roar from all units is heard in the response.
“URA!!! DEATH TO THE INVADERS!!!â€
“Channel your rage! Here is your generalissimo, chairman of the national defense commission all the way from directrus to show his pride of commanding a force as mighty as this one, he requests the honors to initiate the strike...â€
“... you have rage, and you have your orders. In my experience, that is your greatest weapon! OPEN FIRE! URAAAA!!!!!â€
“URAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!â€
With a booming noise heard all the way from alpinska bunker, one that rattled everything for the seemingly endless duration of the artillery tubes firing their shells into Lucern.
“Report.†the generalissimo had sat in his chair, proudly listening to ocian marching songs, singing along to the verses that raised his patriotism the most.
“The artillery appears to have destroyed lucern. We can give you almost a 100% guarantee that there isn’t a structure above 2 feet left standing. There is no sunlight from the smoke from the gunpowder and the debris from the buildings to send a foot patrol into the city, but the perimeter is completely impenetrable.â€
The generalissimo sat speechless, contemplating whether to professionally congratulate his comrades in command staff, or order a truck full of Ocia’s finest distilled vodka to the base to celebrate.
“Colonel, major, I am the proudest of all my men right now. They have proved how relentless we will be to secure victory, and they are all heroes. Relay this to every soldier, the hero of the ocian federation will be distributed to these men for their heroism and objectivity in the bombardment.â€
Summary:
2nd Goreska Armored brigade, 3rd dalmantiska brigade and 1st koroska brigade partake in 8 hour artillery bombardment of Lucern
Artillery guns fire approximatly 2 shells per minute
(152mm guns will fire a total of 144,000 shells)(self propelled guns will fire a total of 19,200 shells)
Rocket Artillery fires their entire load every hour
(12 rockets per launcher every hour. 7200 rockets launched in total)

Re: Official war thread
The Other End of the World
The Empire had finally decided to bring into action a few more military units and mobility squadrons into action. 10 Infantry fighting vehicles and 50 paratroopers were loaded up into the 10 Sansar cargo aircrafts of the 851[sup]st[/sup] Warlords squadron. These were going to be flown directly to Vistoc. Due to the heavy weight of the vehicle and the long range of travel, the Empire had further authorized the usage of not one, but two refueling squadrons to help achieve the transportation. One Talab tanker refueling one Talab tanker refueling one Sansar transport transporting one infantry fighting vehicle containing five paratroopers. And there were ten such parallel instances taking place at the same time.
Once the Vistoc package has been successfully delivered, the Warlords squadron would return back to Vader. From there, five of the ten Sansar transports would transport another group of 10 infantry fighting vehicles and 50 paratroopers to Leng. These would then return back to Vader at the end of their mission.
The spoils of this war were going to be now taken under the Empire's control. And if opposition arose from either the Ocians or other parties of the world, then they would have to face the Empire's consequences. To ensure nothing like that happened, the Empire put the rest of the military into a ready-to-depart state knowing that the military intelligence agencies across the world would easily pick it up and know exactly what it meant.
Summary:
10 M2A3 IFVs and 50 Paratroopers being transported to Vistoc in a massive mobility move. (lots of refueling going on). Expect these forces there soon.
10 M2A3 IFVs and 50 Paratroopers being transported to Leng. Expect these forces to reach in another 24 hours.
The rest of the my forces are busy waiting for action and are performing secret moves which even I am not aware off. (jk... basically making a secret move with them).

Summary2300 Hrs. Lucern the Ocian Federation
‘Liberating Lucern’
500 Ocian Special Forces soldiers from the 1st Special Special Purpose Regiment of the Elite SLAC Brigade, marched into the airfield close to midnight. The most hardened, fearless warriors on Micras had been tasked with assisting the Koroska Brigade and its support groups liberating Lucern from Zionist tyranny. Following their arrival to the airfield Major PhilopoviÄ rallied the battle ready soldiers. “Comrades, we have been honored with the task of assisting our comrades in Ground Units Liberating Lucern. Much is expected of us, we will not fail! Punish the enemy and show no mercy to them and their collaborators!†“This is a great and noble crusade against the epitome of all evils, and your sacrifices will never be forgotten even in 1 000 years.†The highly moralized soldiers of Ocia’s most loyal unit replied with a resounding, “URA!†The mission which they were about to commence was the greatest honor they had ever been given in their lives. After checking their parachutes and oxygen masks one last time, they strapped themselves into the 5 taxing Hercules Aircraft.
The Mission was especially meaningful for Specialna Vojak (Specialist Private) Kopitar whose beautiful wife and 2 young children had been murdered in their modest suburban home outside of Lucern by the fascist Ashkenatzi devils while they were looting his home during the early days of the Lucern conflict. From the time he was informed of this, it was Sp. Vojak Kopitar’s conviction to avenge the barbarians to his dying breath, for it was the only thing he now had to live for. These were the thoughts that ran through his mind as he boarded the primary transport aircraft. The task of his unit was strenuous but simple, to annihilate the enemy house by house, building by building, street by street. He clenched his MP5 submachine gun while thinking of how he would avenge the death of his loving family. Filled with rage and zeal to defeat the enemy he began to encourage his unit as the plane took off. “An Ocian Man is a born warrior! He is willing to travel to the end of the world and die if necessary for his motherland and his family! An Ashkenatzi man is a born bean counter, acting only in self interest and thinking only of how he can manipulate the Micras financial systems.†The whole aircraft filled with uplifting cheers hearing his patriotic chants. Only 15 minutes later, it was time for the commencement of his ultimate moment of honor. His unit and the 100 other people on his plane were to make a HALO jump and touchdown with their parachutes in the outskirts of Lucern to begin their mission. As the aft and rear doors of the aircraft opened he glanced out into the midnight sky admiring the beauty of the full moon as its tranquil light descended into the clouds. He was ready; he jumped off in standard HALO jumping formation connected with the other 5 members of his fire team. The ecstasy of making such a jump at the dead of night was overwhelming, and the immense adrenalin was something he had never felt before. After freefalling for nearly 2 minutes he activated his parachute with the rest of the unit and gently met the ground. His team then consolidated for ammo and casualty extraction points. Shortly after reaching the ground Sp. Vojak Kopitar and his team sprinted in a defensive formation over 8 Kilometers to their target, which was a newly built commercial area of the city once sprawling with happy Ocian families, sadly lifeless since the enemy occupation. The team leader motioned for the team to use a stealthy approach as they moved toward the first zone which was where Ashkeantzi regulars who looted the commercial area previously were sleeping. Sp. Vojak Kopitar volunteered for fire-team lead, he approached a back door of a major warehouse where the enemy was sleeping, flicked on the torch-light on his Silenced Mp5 and breached the metal door, swiftly awakening over 30 startled enemy troops. Just as he had done in training on numerous occasions, he fired two rounds into the chest of the closest adversary and moved onto the next, with other members of his fire-team providing covery fire and pacing towards the other areas of the room systematically firing rounds into the torsos of barely awake enemies, many of which were trying to surrender. After abruptly examining this zone, he hollered “Zone clear†and moved to secure the bathroom area of the complex. After once again breaching the door of the bathroom he discovered an Ashkeantzi regular, about 24 years old, standing there having soiled himself. Kopitar quickly squeezed the trigger of his short dark barreled submachine gun but was surprised to notice it had jammed. He then reacted quickly, drawing his sidearm and executing the enemy on the spot. With satisfaction he departed the room to regroup with the other members of his fire-team who were moving outside. Despite the major battle presently occurring in the once tourist town, their area was surprisingly peaceful with little or no activity except for their fellow Special Forces teams of snipers clearing the mundane apartment buildings as they made their way to the roof to take up positions slightly below the elevation of where they were watching on the higher area overlooking the weary city.
The serene silence of the early morning sky was abruptly disturbed by an enemy BMP making its way to their position. Kopitar’s fire team dashed back into the warehouse and franticly searched for a weapon to destroy the enemy armor. They found no such weapon so their fireteam leader swiftly ordered them to prepare, “take up positions on either side of the entrance and prepare to hijack the enemy BMP,†exclaimed the sergeant. At that instant they suddenly hit the floor at the sound of a massive explosion. It was the snipers on the building under 100 meters away; they had shot two RPG-7 rockets at the armored vehicle completely destroying it. Kopitar and his fire-team then paced out of the warehouse relieved once again and sprinted towards shelter near the central square of the city, for they knew their position had been compromised.
City square was a rallying point for nearby Ocian Special Forces units, looking to flush out the enemy from the city as fast as possible. Shrapnel and bullets ravaged the city square as the newly arrived fire-team took up positions near the statue of the city’s founder. Picking up a Zastava M-80 lying nearby, Vojak Kopitar began to flank enemy positions, his fire-team remained pinned down for over two hours and the situation on the battlefield in their zone seemed dire. Looking to his left, Kopitar saw the strongest and bravest man he had ever known, Matjoš Svera a fellow member of the Special Forces whom he had undergone training with, dodge hundreds of bullets as he lay pinned down 800 meters from their position by the Ashekantzi animals. It was clear that his brother in arms knew his end was approaching and sought to not prolong his death any longer, loading his RPD machine gun for the last time, he glanced up at the sky as bullets flew centimeters from his head. He began to say, “zdrava marija, milosti polna gospod……..zdaj in ob naši smrtni ura.†He than grabbed his machine gun and jumped over the sandbags letting out non stop rounds into the enemy while yelling, “DIE FASCIST SCUM!†He was struck by 4 bullets and still kept on the fight. Finally he collapsed to the ground and became an Ocian martyr of freedom, dying for his nation, family and fellow soldiers. He had fought the good fight and upheld the oath all members of the elite unit pledged years ago; to never surrender to never let up and to die if necessary for the motherland.
Hours later the fighting broke up as the morning came. The fire team moved towards a bombed out shopping complex to rest. After arriving, the 4 other members of his team decided to check for more ammunition on dead enemy soldiers. Vojak Kpopitar agreed and he moved to clear the other rooms of the dark room. His peripheral vision had just caught the sight of a shadow, a fast moving man with a long hawkish nose moving towards him. Before he knew it, there was no time to react and he felt the gun of the enemy pressed upon his head. “Drop it!†ordered the war loving devil Ashkenatzi. Kopitar obeyed and suddenly looked for a distraction. He quickly yelled out, “look! There’s two shekels on the ground!†The Ashkenatzi immediately looked down searching for the money and Kopitar made his move, turning around and breaking the wrist of the frugal fascist devil then slamming his side up against the wall to destabilize him. As the enemy stood dazed Kopitar grabbed the pistol on the ground and shot the fascist first in both knee caps, then in the shoulder, chest and finally he finished him off. It was just the beginning of his long struggle for revenge.
-500 Ocian Special Forces Troops from the 1st Regiment of the SLAC brigade are inserted (via HALO jump) into Lucern under nightfall.
-The Hercules aircraft deliver the troops safely thanks to the escort from the 1st Air Support squadron.
-Some Special forces soldiers move room to room in CQB fighting, while over 60 snipers throughout the city take up positions to pick off the enemy
-The whole part of the eastern side of the city is engulfed in panic and confusion due to the surprise attack in front of the Ocian lines made from the Koroska.

Re: Official war thread
OOC: Hold on, there, soldier.
1. I've stated before that the air around Lucern has been closely monitored. It's been like that for at least a few days, with both AEW aircraft and constant fighter patrols with more fighters on alert, with more fighters on standby. At least when Montague complained that I wrote his defence for him, I actually wrote that his unit did try to defend itself, and I did the research to see how that would have played out.
2. Your Orbat has been disputed and you haven't commented on it, because in it you say that you have 26 fighters at 500 points and 2 bombers and that this equals 10,000 points, when it is 15,000. In general, your orbat is being disputed as having too much in it.
3. Aren't Kolya's moves also not viable because of Maximos's widespread destruction of railway lines feeding into Alpinska several days ago that nobody prevented? When you have such a big discrepancy, you can't just sweep under the rug just so that you can write more posts that glorify yourself.
4. Your soldiers should all have laryngitis and have hands beaten raw from all of the shouts of URA and hours of clapping that they have done in the few days that this part of the war has taken place. That is, of course, unless they are the single most godly powerful race of Man ever to have set foot upon this planet, honed in the mountains of Sacred Ocia, led by the genius intellect and athletic prowess of their Divine Leader, Prophet Doctor Doctor President Mateja Kovacs, Destroyer of Worlds and Messiah of the New Millenium, PhD SJD MD DDS DMin DFA DIY DWA, May He Live Forever, trained so that they could flawlessly perform a knife-throwing attack whilst doing backflips, so hard and so dedicated to sacrificing their lives (if that were even possible, considering how invincible they are) that they would gladly do battle either in the crushing heat of this world's core or in the biting chill of interplanetary space with the same stoic look on their face that could have been carved from the granite, and that unmistakable disregard for comfort that can only be found in a true Man who knows that he is battling the evils of FACSISM? If that's the case, you need to stop stroking your ego and anything else and start acting just a little less like you have absolutely lost your mind. I don't think even Kim Jong Il fantasizes about his people's fanatic desire to die for him as much as you, and he actually HAS people.

OCC: Chrim in your last Air Force post you mention nothing about maintaining constant air superiority, it is written in a way which would make someone believe that your fighters penetrated the airspace for a mission and then left, and did not remain there. Regardless, the OAF maintains more planes then the attacking force, has wide range radar and would certainly scramble if any enemy enters the air space.
The only problem with the orbat is with dervin’s absence and the SA-300 mix up, which was cleared up. We have not been using Dervin’s units, and although some numbers look like the total add up of the orbat section, they are not. Montague did the math, the orbat is sound.

OOC:
Okay Chrim. Re-write your post that you fired from outside the range of my missiles. I'll therefore take the liberty of writing my defence and knocking out more than fair few of those missiles you fired. Which leaves you with the option of having increased damage (4-6 fighters is reasonable) for to your own fighters and medium-to-heavy damage of my force OR no damage whatsoever to your force and light damage to mine along with a delay in getting to Little Lucern. Your choice mate.
Max, by forward positions I mean whichever visibly occupied buildings nearest to the edge of the city. It also includes ASTER'S forces. I'll give 12 extra hours for a reply.
As for the argument with Matt Chrim, the ORBAT dispute was explained by extreme re: 10,000 = 15,000. Kolya's moves are valid also because trains aren't needed to move tanks all the time are they? He moved those forces there before the railway detonation.
War Post
Summary:
24 Hour rule: Antican Helciopter on surveillance around Lucern destroyed.
Dalmantian Armoured Cavalry deploys from Little Lucern moving to take up a position 70km west of Lucerne. They move keeping a distance of 70km from Lucern at all times.
(forgive me but not got the energy for a story today. I promise you a cracker next time though.)

OOC to Matt:
1. The part of the Orbat for yourself and for Kolya adds up to 50,900 points, not 50,000.
Plus is the complaint from Extreme about your fighters exceeding their range and thus they would not be capable of flying escort.
2. My post Wednesday:
3. Maximos destroyed all railway lines at 12:59 UTC on Thursday, only 12 minutes after Montague set out on his movement of forces which he said would take between 11 and 13 hours. Nobody stopped that mission, therefore all railway lines should destroyed before people could use them. Kolya made his move at 22:13 UTC on Thursday. Therefore, it would be very difficult for Kolya to be able to use the railway lines to encircle Lucern. His unit would be stuck much further back. He would then need to spend a day's post just moving into position before he could begin bombardment, at which time he would be more vulnerable to attack or would have to move extra slowly to ensure that he wasn't. Sure, tanks and all the other vehicles can travel by road, but they can't travel as instantaneously as Kolya has been making them out.
4. Aster has set up minefields to the northeast, east, and southeast of Lucern as well as observation posts. The diagram for the observation posts would indicate that these are quite a distance from Lucern itself (looks like about 100 km using Bill's distance calculator), so Kolya should be dealing with mine fields before he could begin bombardment.
On another note, I think it's a little unfair that I'm being 24-houred because I'm busy spending my time trying to get my adversaries on the same page, and that said adversaries are continuing as planned, regardless of the discrepancies in their posts, what has already happened, and the complaints being raised about them. One would think that we ought to stop and figure things out before we keep going.
This war is becoming increasingly one-sided in terms of those who wants to maintain consistency and those who don't.

Gripens can land on any pavement and the 11th support squadron as I said in the story was repositioned to Posavje so yes they did escort it. Additionally it would take a lot more than a day to lay mines.
Frankly I don't care that you have pressing issues and you don't think the 24 hour rule should be pressed on you. No one seemed to care when all of Ocia's citizens were away except one. Paybacks buddy.

Best thing to do is to call guido in... and off course that means starting a judicial thread.

Yeah, it seems like it. Only the judge seems to be given the time of day anymore. I'll start writing up an omnibus judicial petition or something.

You might like to seperate different battles if you can?
Please make sure that you explain everything from the start and clearly indicate what you require a ruling on.
I look forward to this with gusto

The Silence Before The Storm
Vistoc was now seeing a great deal of Imperial activity. The Empire's troops had landed hours earlier and had set themselves up in their new homes. There were some Ocians still present at the small remote city, but they were being put on board civilian carriers and flown out of the city. The choice of their destination was based on whether they were candidates for a tour of Babkha or not. Those chosen were flown to Boba Fett in the Empire, where they would be assigned duties in their new assignments at science and experimental labs. The other unfortunate ones, or fortunate depending upon the point of view, were put on flights to Babkha, from where they would be flown to any part of the world of their choice on the Air Babkha airlines.
Leng, on the other hand, was quiet. There wasn't much activity going on, and the recent announcement of Empire's military return to the Northern island interested none but the wild polar bears. What everyone was waiting for was news from the military troops that had left Leng. These troops were supposed to be back at Vader over three days ago, and yet there was no sign of them anywhere near the Empire's waters. With nearly two to three days of extra travel, it was rumored that these troops had died in some sort of freak unexplained storm in between Leng and Vader. When the military seniors were questioned, the reply back was a simple smile. The Empire was up to something.
Summary:
Troops landed at Vistoc and Leng. These two ex-Ocian regions are now under military control of the Empire. Civilians in Vistoc are being sent to either Babkha or the city of Boba Fett in the Empire for work at the science and experimental labs.
Secret moves being made.
OOC: Koyla, Kovac.. the situation is different. Chris has been waiting for the two sides to agree on what exactly happened in the battle so that both the sides know where to pick up the pieces from. I think what you guys are complaining about is maximos' unit, in which case I agree with you in that you can fight his units and 24 hour him if he doesn't respond. However, his troops will "go into hiding", "dissappear" (whatever you want to call it) within 3 days of his last post. It will then take him one full day to get his troops back once he returns. Thus, while you may be able to 24 hour Maximos, you wont be able to destroy his entire unit in that action.

OCC: Extreme if you want the force to be with you I wouldn't be mistreating our citizens and collaberating with the enemy. By force, i mean the treaty. Your jedi should be attacking the enemy
