Spoiler!
- Seven cities changed to ruins, with ample exclusion zones added
- Capital moved to Ardashirshahr
- Cimmeria and Raikoth updated to disputed (location to whence the Ayreonist and Verionist tendencies have been "relocated")
- An appropriate number of insurgency markers added to reflect the "unsettled" nature of the country
All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.

I'd might as well ask, as it could be something that gets changed along with this stuff, but what's the deal with the Elluenuueq name? Is it preferable to use instead of Elwynn? Should we be updating the legend?

Related to this is the claim of Free Elwynn:
Official name: Elwynnese Republic
Informal names: Free Elwynn, Free Elwynnese Republic
Flag is https://micras.org/wiki/images/3/3d/Elwynn_flag.png
It is the territory marked ||||||| (disputed) green/white on Ardy's map, though I am not sure if Ardy's map signalled it was independent or not. But the idea is that the Free Elwynnese Republic, as an alternative government of Elwynn, claims all of Elwynn but only controls Cimmeria and Raikoth. And the Ardy Elwynn claims all of Elwynn but only controls everything that is not Cimmeria and Raikoth. China/Taiwan thingamajingy. Not sure how the MCS wants to mark that. My preference would be not to mark the dispute, but have different colours for the two Elwynns. But I'd be happy with any other way of doing it.

Re: [ELW] And there was much rejoicing
For the two Elwynns, we have a bit of a precedent that suits the labelling/colouring situation you've just described and that's Elwynn itself. Back when it first seceded from Shireroth, along with the marginally less successful Laqi Free Republic, it was entirely striped as disputed but had its own independent colour on the legend: https://micras.org/archives/bigworldb-v14.2.3.png
We could of course not have the disputed markers, but Free Elwynn would need to put in a separate claim either way if the intention is to be an independent MCS member...

That's what I just did. That's the claim of Free Elwynn. Regarding the dispute or not, that is up to Ardy. But if he wants to mark Free Elwynn disputed, then the rest of Elwynn ought to be marked disputed too, but that will look very uglyCraitman wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 11:11 amFor the two Elwynns, we have a bit of a precedent that suits the labelling/colouring situation you've just described and that's Elwynn itself. I miss the days when claims would be submitted in their final form and not have a complete overhaul after being posted

I hope that experienced players will be able to provide the Council with a clear claim in future. Thanks to our Craitgod, guardian of the claimsmap, for still being kind enough to contact the submitters.

I'm not sure why you MCS types are seemingly blathering sanctimoniously about this. Free Elwynn was initially marked as disputed because I was not sure if and when the independence option from the civil war narrative would be taken up. It now has been and Ric got in touch to advise accordingly. Stop being overly precious and pretending that you have been unfairly inconvenienced in this small matter.
All this has happened before, and all this will happen again.

Re: [ELW] And there was much rejoicing
At least from my side, it's a "help us to help you" deal. If we're not given all the details of a claim in the first place, it does somewhat interrupt the flow of being able to put what has been requested on the map properly - I'm soon notified when a mistake has been published on the map, so anything to avoid the minor inconveniences for all involved is desirableContinuator wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 6:15 amI'm not sure why you MCS types are seemingly blathering sanctimoniously about this.
