[HUR] Expansion
The Hurmu Senate has approved the expansion of Hurmu's sovereignty to:
- West Barrow Island
- Great Warring Island
- Northern parts of the former Brettish Isles
The western parts of Barrow Island as well as Great Warring Island are of utmost importance for Hurmu's pacification of the area. With the collapse of the Nova English state, piracy in the area has increased several times over. Hurmu is the only power in the area with the capacity to effectively pacify the area, bring in to order and good government, and at the same time minimise the loss of life.
Moreover, the Warring Islands are connected to Hurmu through the former Duchy of the Lady Esther Isles. The flag and coat of arms of that former duchy are used by Barrow authorities and the idea is to re-ascert a Hurmu presence there.
The northern tip of the former Brettish Isles are needed in order to ensure that piracy will not get a foothold in the area. Moreover, with refugees from Elwynn going westwards to the Warring Islands to seek refuge among their Hurmu brethren, it is important that a safe harbour is accessible for these refugees. It may also aid in repopulation of the area in a geography and climate that remind the refugees of their homeland. Hurmu's link to those islands is also connected to the New Brittanian Barony of Saint Churchill and the Virgin Islands – not located in those islands but the New Brittania was – which was awarded Prince Andelarion of Hurmu back in 1521 AN by King Jeremy of New Brittania. The southern HPC base there will be called King Jeremy Point after the same king, and northern HPC base will be called Saint Churchill in honour of the old Hurmu-held New Brittanian barony.
Meanwhile, Mercurian authorities are working on bringing order and good government to their former shared territories with Nova England. The government of Hurmu has been in consultation with its Mercurian colleagues on the matter. Moreover, the Senate has also been in communication with the authorities in Elwynn (in both Ardashirshahr and Vanaheim) and the Unified Governorates of Benacia. Through Senator Karel des Vinandy, the nephew of the Batavian king, the Senate trusts that applicable communication has reached the Batavian government.

Re: [HUR] Expansion
We can consider this in about two weeks' time, unless Nova England successfully reclaims its lands...
