[Reduction] Victoria
Name & Title: Adam Davidson-Hooper, Lord Buthnock, Foreign Minister
E-Mail/Contact: I think I have it
Nation: Victoria
Request:
Notes: We are vacating the land of Amokolia to allow for the dispute over that land to be agreed on by the interested parties. We are also reducing our Valencian claim somewhat, with the mainland being reduced and the Valencian Holzborg enclaves being gifted to Gotzborg for cultural and æsthetic reasons too (as agreed here). Victoria is also claiming the residual Lovely territory, as agreed by the Treaty of Home. Think that covers it all...

Re: [Reduction] Victoria
As this marks the formal removal of the salmon-pink of that great nation of Lovely from the map, I would like to say a few words...
No, literally:
2005 - BBC2 TV series - influx of n00bs - attempts at welcoming - badly handled foreign affairs - everyone hates Lovely (a lot of "everyone" being simultaneously citizens of Lovely and only being present in the hobby by virtue of the aforesaid) - Lovely dies down - let's all gang up on them - withers and dies.
That's pretty much it. But don't for a moment forget the many, many micronationalists who are only here by virtue of that nation. The hobby would be a different place without them - or it might not be at all.

We could always "retire" that colour. Allow no other nation to use it again

*Bows his head, in a moment of silence and solemnity, for the end of Lovely as its own entity*

Re: [Reduction] Victoria
In all fairness, it'll probably be more developed as a part of Victoria than it has been for the past four years
And Jess, this looks like the best time to get it over here...

Probably will, Craitman.
Lovely's culture was always anti-culture. Micronations was serious business for the serious people. Nobody in Lovely proper ever really cared about here. You were all weirdos. For some of us over here they were probably right.....

Re: [Reduction] Victoria
The Lovely period has always been sort of an interesting black box to me. I left right before it began and it was blown over by the time I got back. And there were all these wacky noobs and countries and new policies and stuff floating around when most of the countries I remembered from before had died or become almost completely isonationist. It was weird.
Did anyone ever write a decent history of the Lovey era?

If someone with authority makes the application and provides the map, then we can get right to voting on it.Jess wrote:Ashkenatza, Amokolia, and Elwynn have all agreed on a new Amokolian map. Wondering why it hasnt been up yet.

Finally, the end of Lovely's participation in the Micran Sector.
End of an era, truly.
Time did what that massive war back in 2007 with Riponia and Matbaa couldn't!

Re: [Reduction] Victoria
It is indeed an end of a era, the Lovely phenomenon was for some a good influx of individuals to the hobby, but then too many of these newcomers were absolutely unnecessary and annoying; nevertheless, that wave of n00bs left some good serious micronationalists.
