[Ashkenatza] Expansion
Name & Title: Moshe Goltz, Foreign Minister and State Secretary of Ashkenatza
E-Mail/Contact: PM here or in Ashkenatza
Nation: Republic of Ashkenatza
Request:
Notes: As authorised by His Excellency the Nohsi in Nohsibafel IX, and subsequently ratified by the Knesset in the last hour, the Republic claims the territories in the map above. As activity logs show, Ashkenatza's activity over the past month has been one of our highest ever, with 31.4 ppd as of the 1st of March. Our continued cultural works in the World Expo show our commitment to maintaining a vibrant sense of simulationism, and with this claim and our expansion to the north we will have fulfilled the Republic's territorial ambitions for the long-term future.
We hope these details are taken into account in what is, we believe, a reasonable and justifiable expansion.

Out of curiosity, why the separate status of Klaynindzl from its neighboring isles?

Well I just felt the Skerries and Jerba would probably have their own distinct identity and it'd be nice to have somewhere as a 'blank slate' to develop. Besides, a more complex political Micras is a more interesting map to look at- the little oddities like the jointly administered status of Ptia are some of the weird little things which make the map that much more intriguing.
Klaynindzl is just 'little island' in Yiddish. I'm sure one day I won't be able to resist the urge to do a map of the place.

Is there such thing as a Yiddish Sark?
Re: [Ashkenatza] Expansion
Having never been to the Channel Islands I can't say, but there sure will be on Micras!
Actually in answer to Shyriath's question- Klaynindzl will be a tax haven.
Kinda like the Isle of Man but less weird.

I'll allow myself an amused chuckle at 'Pachadabad' but don't be picking on the glorious home of the Tynwald now...

Ahh, the Isle of Man. How can you not love an island who spells a Gaelic language like an untrained Englishman would transcribe it? It's just adorable!
