Alexandrian claim

Re: Alexandrian claim
The MCS was not prepared to recognize Amokolia's independence and asked that the situation be worked out with Victoria, which was still somewhat functional and thus able to agree to the Amokolian secession.

Re: Alexandrian claim
Hence why I've not moved this to the Council yet and am letting everything unfold with the backstorying. I will, however, be motioning an Ocian reduction later today - you heard it here first

Why did you just say the before?!? This situation would have been resolved a whole lot quicker!!Alfred Dunholm wrote: If we say for the sake of arguement that Micras is the Island of Sodor (the setting for "Thomas the Tank Engine") and that Ocia is Percy the emotionally disturbed little blue train. If Percy is quite simply not in the programme any more it doesn't really matter, in the same way that if Ocia were not in the simulated world of Micras it wouldn't matter, but if however every episode featured a clip of Percy's rotting hulk in a breaking yard that would be upsetting somewhat. It's the same with Ocia's simulated population; if they simply cease to be then that isn't an issue, but if they're still there but only a shadow of their former selves it isn't tolerable.

They've changed the theme tune just so you know.

Yours with the sleepover party was also exceptional.Nathan wrote:Alfred Dunholm wrote:If they cease to exist as fictional beings that is hardly an issue of concern, but if they have their homeland occupied within the context of our fictional world then the simulation does require the issue to be considered . I realise that the above probably doesn't make a lot of sense, so we'll compare it to this;

I don't know if that made it any less confusing

Re: Alexandrian claim
With Thomas dead and both the new and old whistle songs identified, is it possible to have our claim approved or at least have the territory marked as disputed?

Re: Alexandrian claim
Now Matt Kovac is back i would suggest this claim is void.
Re: Alexandrian claim
We all know he's not 'back' for good. He probably periodically checks the MCS to see if Ocia is going to be removed, posts a couple of inane rants about Facsism on his board and then fucks off for another six months. Remove the place.

Re: Alexandrian claim
Even if that's the case, it's unfortunately not up to us to say whether or not it can be removed; it'll have to follow MCS protocol, and that'd probably mean Ocia could stay, but be severely reduced.

Re: Alexandrian claim
My comments about ashkenatza and fascism don't come from thin air, quite a few things that you've done have shown an admiration for some aspects of what thenazis established and hoped to establish such as irrendentism and one of your city's names has a striking similarity to Hitler's envisioned Welthauptstadt Germania. As i've said all of this anti-fascist struggle stuff is all in good fun and in keeping with Ocia's theme... Is it now insane for a micronation to have a theme and some quirky hilarious propaganda rants?Maximos wrote:We all know he's not 'back' for good. Why don't you apply that logic to us too?Is it now insane for a micronation to have a theme and some quirky hilarious propaganda rants?
Do you have any idea how profoundly insulting and idiotic that comment is?quite a few things that you've done have shown an admiration for some aspects of what thenazis established and hoped to establish
I'm saying nothing more on this. My point is made. Kovacs has again demonstrated it amply.

Re: Alexandrian claim
Regardless of Matt this claim is impossible to complete because the MCS don't let nations claim other nations' land without their permission. Therefore the logical thing to do would be for it to withdrawn and then reposted (if Alexandria still believe they warrant it despite their vast lands and minor activity levels) when Ocia has been reduced.
