Poor Craitman, I think he's going insane with all this chaos.

Going?
I'm just gonna leave everything (Jingdao/Zeeburg/Stormark/this) here until it's all sorted-out, however long that takes...

Re: [Lingelande] Declaration of Independence
I, Remus van Veen citizen of the Kingdom of Batavia and the Grand Duchy of Lingelande dispute the claim made by Harald.
Until this matter is resolved power lies in the hand of the King.
On behalf of the Batavian people.

Re: [Lingelande] Declaration of Independence
I find Harald's myopic depravity quite amusing - rather than seek to 'rally the troops' as it were to defend the North Batavia he professed to love in the Batavian legislature and via constitutional means, since heaven knows that would involve communicating with people who weren't adoring automatons, he simply opted to issue a fatuous declaration of independence.
You know, adopting the Aster school of geopolitics for a change I'd go so far as to suggest that the actions of a Prince of Alexandria in North Batavia combined with Monty's belligerence in the straits is evidence of a grand conspiracy on the part of the Emperor Edgard to achieve world domination for the purple stains. Or I could be wilfully misreading the uncoordinated actions of individual policy actors - but then I do so like to follow the Ashkenatzan fashions.

You consider me belligerent? In all seriousness though, can you line up all my public (and private if you bizarrely have them) belligerent statements about the Straits?
Because so far I can only recall 1 truly belligerent statement. Everything else has been stressing diplomacy.
In Battle; Unbeatable.
In Victory; Unbearable.

This is the single most hilarious thing I have ever read, you need to write for the Onion.I find Harald's myopic depravity quite amusing - rather than seek to 'rally the troops' as it were to defend the North Batavia he professed to love in the Batavian legislature and via constitutional means, since heaven knows that would involve communicating with people who weren't adoring automatons, he simply opted to issue a fatuous declaration of independence.

Ardy, with all respect, I don't think you're in any position to start chastising people for 'surrounding [themselves] with adoring automatons'...
Re: [Lingelande] Declaration of Independence
I think we need to get into perspective here that we have a Cold War. One which at least two parties I know of (Ashkenatza and Babkha) have actually named the political situation at the moment. Realpolitik dictates, and I think the recent situations in Batavia with the interestingly timed closing of the Strait illustrate quite well, is that both of the blocs of nations forming at the moment are exploiting political situations in numerous continents and enlisting various nations to their respective causes.
Whilst Ardy is obviously enjoying the height of his horse, I don't think anybody on any side of any of these current disputes can accuse the other of being cynically and ruthlessly pragmatic with respect to geopolitics. The only argument to be had here is an analysis of how well either side is doing.
Let's try and remember this one pretty obvious fact and perhaps lower the pedestals I see being raised on the horizon from all quarters, shall we?

I don't think adoration is quite the word. There are too many scars and stains for one thing.Aster wrote:Ardy, with all respect, I don't think you're in any position to start chastising people for 'surrounding [themselves] with adoring automatons'...
Re: [Lingelande] Declaration of Independence
Malliki, considering your entire micronational career constitutes insulting people, I don't think you're the one to call me out on that.
Anyway - you tire me, Malliki. Off you go.
