Republic of Ashkenatza

Ashkenatza and Flanders have finally come to a compromise regarding the territorial dispute over the islands currently administered by Ashkenatza as the 'Ashkenatzi Skerry Isles'. Our Republic has agreed in the Treaty of Ruhatyn (recently approved by the Flemish government), to transfer the four islands to Flemish sovereignty with a view to Flanders and New Cognito eventually agreeing on a division between themselves at a later point.

The Flemish party has not yet informed us of any city names or landmarks they would like added, so we submit the following to the MCS:

Is it okay if we leave this until Flanders have agreed what they're doing with it?

No problem. We're currently discussing city names and so on; just give it a couple of days (as the most bureaucratically minded nation on Micras, it usually takes a while for decisions to be made ).

So, we've finally sorted it out. (Not that there was a lot of discussion about it, just heaps of bureaucracy.)

It's simple, basically. The Northern Beneluccas will be fully integrated as a province of our Republic, with its seat in Schaarlecht, which will keep its old name of Vladiskerrysk as a co-official name (officially in Hebrew script, but we thought it would probably be easier for the MCS staff if we wrote it in Latin script on the map...). The Southern Beneluccas, meanwhile, were to be given to New Cognito according to the preliminary agreement we had with Jacobus. Since this agreement hasn't been officialised yet (and won't be untill Jacobus returns to the scene) we'll administer it as a dependency on a temporary basis.

Our two islands have been given the names of Erasmus and Dexel, but this isn't shown on the map.

Oh! Wait a second! We made a mistake when drawing the map: the northwestern island (Erasmus, afther our late president H. Erasmus) should be part of the Northern Beneluccas as well. The tiny island in the middle, however, should be part of the dependency. I won't have time to make a better version today, but I'll try to do it tomorrow.
