[Tellia] Claim
Name & Title: V.V. Fabbri, Minister of Internal Affairs
E-Mail/Contact: Got
Nation: Tellian Confederation
No. of Citizens: 4
MN URL: http://gaiamn.proboards.com/

Claim:
Notes: Tellia was restarted as an independent entity once more when Ashkenatza was coming to an end in September. Since then, we have been collaborating slowly to restore the nation to its former glories. Our long-term planned claim will include the areas previously known as Hither and Thither Tellia under Ashkenatza, but for now, the Tellian Confederation's control only covers six "stronghold" cities, which maintain their own governance under the central powers in Romero. With time, and continued work and development, we aim to further Tellia's claims and regain control of the historical nation's boundaries, but we know this will be a great ask, so our desire is for the six cities above. The city of Mamehblinij is part of a small enclave which we have called Merenolitovina; an ethnically Ashkenatzi-majority region which has aligned itself with the Tellian authorities for the greater good of both our peoples following the struggles of late in southern Benacia.

Any possibility of a guide to who's who in terms of citizen names?

Re: [Tellia] Claim
Just reminding you guys, Suthergold's Stoneharvest salvaged anything of value or that could be reused as building materials from nearly all ruins in that region, not to mention the fact that the Rathasian city is located just south of Luino. And don't try to force them out, they're quite powerful and stop at nothing to defend their home (and let's not forget that a large portion of Suthergold's population hails from that tribe and would push for retaliation). I'm just trying to keep the story consistent.

Re: [Tellia] Claim
@Benkern - I'm V.V. Fabbri, Joe is Fossone and Hieu is Pittori
@Ryker - If you wish to stick within the confines of backstorying, then the Tellians will have been comfortably established in these areas well before any Suthergold visitors arrived, so any attempts to salvage building materials from such long-inhabited cities would be met by rather a strong and resilient Tellian resistance. Not forcing them out, just not letting them in in the first place...

Re: [Tellia] Claim
The Tellians never actually left, and if you go from history - Tellian people are known to have a violent streak about them, most likely due to their claims of oppression by multiple different civilisations in the past.Craitman wrote:@Benkern - I'm V.V. Fabbri, Joe is Fossone and Hieu is Pittori

Re: [Tellia] Claim
OOC: oops. No one told me this before during or (until now) after of the locations marked as ruins were not ruins. Too late now so here's how I think we can keep to both stories.
IC: As it has been some time since any credible census has been taken in that region, would you not say that it is possible that those who maintained residence have either reverted to tribal culture (as the Rathasians were prior to Rathus arriving), moved into other nations undetected, or (the least pretty possibility) died of due to disease, starvation, and animal attacks among other possibilities?
All I may say with certainty is that aside from the Rathasians and some less advanced/populated/doplomatic groups of mostly inbred survivors (whom my men left some nonparishable food and clean water for). Perhaps they vacated the ruins upon learning of my men's presence, which was not my intention I asire you, but I received no reports of functioning communities in any site visited. I would be more than willing to send some Rathasian laborers to install their traditional tree-based settlements, they would need no more than four years to complete an admirable city using modern tools my County would provide them. I truely regret having to convey such unfortunate news, my condolences.

Re: [Tellia] Claim
Given that the people you mention have, in that time, combined together to form a sovereign nation from nothingness, that story wouldn't really fly...Ryker wrote:IC: As it has been some time since any credible census has been taken in that region, would you not say that it is possible that those who maintained residence have either reverted to tribal culture (as the Rathasians were prior to Rathus arriving), moved into other nations undetected, or (the least pretty possibility) died of due to disease, starvation, and animal attacks among other possibilities?
Re: [Tellia] Claim
If you read the expedition thread on the Goldshire subforum, you would know that the Rathasians were, originally, just like the rest of the abandoned tribes of survivors. It was not until Rathus of Shirekeep lost his way in search of herbs only to be saved by the tribe that the population and culture developed more steadily. It was Rathus's healing powers and knowledge of herbal medicine and basic skills learned in most developed nations that allowed for the advancement of their people. It has been a few centuries since Rathus died (aged about three-hundred years) and his teachings and methods have been mastered and modified by those who now call themselves the Rathasians. So they did not congregate from numerous tribes long gone from their homeland, they flourished on their own thanks to their savior and his discoveries.

Re: [Tellia] Claim
I've never heard of Rathasians. I'm only aware of the Tellians and Ashkenatzim which have populated that area since 2008 (whatever that'd be in ASC)

Re: [Tellia] Claim
In Tellia, we do stuff in real time, so the area's only been unclaimed for a couple of months. Hardly think they'd revert to tribes that quickly, when their main concern was starting up a new government to reclaim what the Ashkenatzis stole from them.
