[BAT-BRI] Modification
As we are not allowed to claim the independence of the Brettish Isles yet, I think it fair enough that we be granted to right to modify at least the internal layout of islands until such time as our independence is recognized.
This is a partial update showing some new additions. The re-establishment of RBAF Wendover. The reclaiming of Darwin.
And since I have a difficult time adding the text on a Mac, the following changes are requested:
- Wilgenburg is renamed Exeter
- Montfort is renamed Sherrinford
- Sherrinfort is renamed Forest Row
- Charlotburg is renamed Westminster
- The regional capital is moved to Westminster

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Insomuch that there is nobody in an official position to submit a removal for Batavia ('s-Koningenwaarde), so it reasons that there is also nobody in the position to submit a modification for the same nation either, surely?
Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
I beg to disagree. As I never resigned my citizenship, I am still resident and founder of Wilgenburg. Jack may have resigned, but I did not. This counts as an internal modification and therefore falls within the restrictions indicated by your previous comments.

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Being a resident of a place doesn't give you the right to rename it, nor its surrounding area, the last time I checked. Give me evidence of your being an official head of the relevant Batavian subdivision and I'll happily see this through, but solely living in a place doesn't mean you run it...

Don't know how in-date this post is, but if it's still true, then Jeroen is the only person who can submit anything on behalf of Batavia.

That's the other Batavia, strangely enough

In September of last year the Nova Batavia Company was founded and acquired all assets of Nova Batavia, going on to found New Willow, which in Dutch is Wilgenburg (Willow City). This was approved by the Batavian government. NBC was never dissolved nor its assets given up, and neither did I resign my citizenship therein.

Great, that's better. Unless anyone disagrees with this prior to next weekend (s'too late to be added tomorrow), it'll go-on as a basic modification...
Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Excellent! Thank you.

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Not really true. Trydan/Cael is still in the (official!) position to modify or submit a removal (as Minister of Batavia). I will ask him about this (as I'm not sure he looks to this forum a lot) and we will see if he minds 'foreigners' changing the map.Craitman wrote:Insomuch that there is nobody in an official position to submit a removal for Batavia ('s-Koningenwaarde), so it reasons that there is also nobody in the position to submit a modification for the same nation either, surely?

If I may...
Perhaps the Brettish Islands (or whatever the Batavian name of the place is) should be marked as disputed. Both Batavia (which Batavia we're now talking about) and the Jack Lewis government seems to have a strong case over those islands.
Elwynn was marked as disputed even though it's declaration of independence was not recognized by Shireroth. The same thing happened to the Laqi Republic when it declared independence just a few days before. This is a precedence that the Council could use, and a precedence I would advocate were I still a member of it.

OR the Brettish could ask to negotiate about it with the Batavian government (instead of Jack attempting to get Batavia annexed by the Flemish vassal state so he could get the land from them, which wasn't his best diplomatic action... ).

This was before my time, so I don't know much about how the disputed markings are used. Was a modification submitted last time, or was the change automatically made by the Council?Elijah Ayreon wrote:If I may...
