Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
We don't update any part of the map (other than fixing things like colour errors, obviously) without the request of the nation it would affect.joefoxon wrote:Was a modification submitted last time, or was the change automatically made by the Council?
The disputed labelling is a potential middle-ground idea that could work though, if Jonas' advice isn't heeded, of course

I hope the MCS will refuse this claim. It is still and will stay Batavia's ('s Koningenwaarde) territory.
And as you can see in my signature, I'm the representative for Batavia ('s Koningenwaarde).

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
When the Brettish have met the 3 month rule can they not claim a small bit of land and then wait for Batavia to go under before claiming the isles? Or do this and then use the 'disputed territory' marking on the map? That seems like a reasonable compromise with the long term benefit of the Brettish owning a colony in the longer term.
Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Oh yes, and what a wonderful leader of Batavia you have been. Under your leadership, the nation's culture has absolutely flourished and every time you have shown that you want what's best for the nation, and how much you care.Hyderus wrote:I hope the MCS will refuse this claim. So if we could please continue with a serious discussion?

You're doing wonderful at negotiating about this kind of stuff, huh?Jack wrote:Oh yes, and what a wonderful leader of Batavia you have been. Jonas, you should really stop doing this now. I don't know what your problem is, but why are you purposely posting on this forum to deny us a very, very small pleasure of seeing at least our own names on the map.Jonas Windsor wrote:OR the Brettish could ask to negotiate about it with the Batavian government (instead of Jack attempting to get Batavia annexed by the Flemish vassal state so he could get the land from them, which wasn't his best diplomatic action... ).
I have asked Cael multiple times to make a deal, but he has not done it. I am waiting for more than two months now for him to actually do something, and all he can do is going to this forum and saying that Orion can't change a name of a piece of land where he doesn't even care about.
Cael, and I say this to you now, you really should think about what you want to do with Batavia because it is rather selfish to go on with a nation, not to enter discussions about a small piece of it, saying that you would 'do it' and then let us wait.
I am more than willing to discuss this with you further, if you have problems with it. But don't say, now two months ago, that you were to grant us independence and then stop answering my posts and doing nothing.
I call upon you to talk about this with me, so that we can leave this business behind us.

Problem? No problem at all. You are your own problem in this matter. Any other with some decency would most likely have reached an agreement by now.Jack wrote:Jonas, you should really stop doing this now. I think it's better for the Brettish Isles to have another negotiator, because... honestly, Jack... you suck at it. First you're scolding and now want the land? The same with you trying to get the Flemish to take it over and when that fails miserably, you complain that you don't get the isles?I have asked Cael multiple times to make a deal, but he has not done it. If you want to reach a deal, then you're doing it wrong. Terribly wrong...

I suggest this because I'm getting annoyed by the chat fights between Jack and Jonas, either this or more popcorn please!

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Reminds me of something: did the island above Nova Batavia disappear together with the Ashkenatzim?

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
There was no need for further negotiations, because Cael assured me that Batavia would grant the Islands to the Brettish Isles. And when someone gives his word, and says that he is 'going to take care of it', then I stop negotiations because I thought that Cael was going to take care of it. (this happened 1 month ago)
And sadly, I don't see this happening, that's why I am not very pleased with the current situation, and also not with the Batavian government.
If you don't believe me, I can post print screens here, but I would rather not do that.

First of all, Jack, I'm Trydan, not Cael (that's my brother).Jack wrote: Cael, and I say this to you now, you really should think about what you want to do with Batavia because it is rather selfish to go on with a nation, not to enter discussions about a small piece of it, saying that you would 'do it' and then let us wait.

Secondly, I am working on Batavia, but it is not able to see the progress because things happen behind the scenes.
Thirdly, I never said that I give the island their freedom, I only said "I take care of it".
I'm always prepared to talk and I always respond to your PB's. Not all in time, but I have always answered.

Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Trydan - You seem to have skipped over the part where I hold the rights to the Nova Batavia Company, which was founded September 2012, and which seized all assets of Nova Batavia with permission of the Batavian government. Now I never dissolved or relinquished my rights to NBC, and therefore still legally hold Nova Batavia under Batavian law. If you wish to settle this matter on the grounds of legal, diplomatic, and mature conversation, then let us do so, and stop this childish bickering.
Re: [BAT-BRI] Modification
Orion is right about that indeed.
But Trydan, if you didn't want us to have the islands, you really should have said so because your actions now seem very strange in the light of your previous remarks.
In the PM, we were discussing the discussion that was going on about the removal of Batavia, you said that you didn't want Batavia removed, and I said that that wasn't necessary at all. I asked you to say in the discussion that Batavia didn't object to granting the islands to the Brettish Isles. You replied with 'I will take care of it in a moment' (Dutch: ik zal het zo even regelen)
I think that is pretty clear.

I think it's also pretty clear what the Batavian government's stance is at this moment, huh? Don't think that your nagging will help your case much.Jack wrote:I think that is pretty clear.
