Maybe make the current colour of Los Liberados a shade lighter then to avoid confusion.

As for the age, I see that the wiki page was first created as a stub in 2017, but actual development started 3 days ago. Not sure what the MCS policy is on this.

I figured that is why the claim hasn't been moved for votes or whatever, I just wanted to publicly state where I intend to have Altus because development was starting to already become a bit hard for me without nailing down a location. (I also wanted to lock down the color, reaaaally wanted to have the Alexandrian purple before someone else took it).

Hopefully between now and when Altus is able to claim no one will claim those islands. This is just so people can hopefully steer clear of those islands. :)

For a little background, Altus was initially created at a time where I was deciding what to do after I dissolved Alexandria. I was torn between Hamland and starting something new. I decided to make Hamland work instead and devoted my attention to it. I always meant to come back to Altus at some point and now I can!

Not sure either, though I do remember a conversation a while back where someone stated that the reason for that policy was so that new people could prove their commitment to the hobby before joining (so we didn't have the case that someone would get on the map and then just not do anything for 3 months before their claim got taken off. That said though, it would be a little backhanded to allow Altus on the map after just 3 days of actual development just because we know the founder.

This is not what I am asking though.

I filed as a polite notice. There isn't even a vote on the Council on this?

This is to give everyone a heads up of where I am going - it's REALLY HARD to develop a place without having an idea of where one wants to go.

Why is giving ample notice seeming to be such a problem for everyone? If it is, it's ridiculous and unreasonable. You don't have to take action unless you want to...?

I've set the ball rolling. As indicated by my abstention, I understand Altusia's billing as a continuity of Alexandrian colonial history but I still would have preferred a more modest scope for a first claim.

Sigh.

I withdraw the claim.

I'd suggest placing it on hold rather than withdrawing it altogether

Appreciate the suggestion, but I am going to stick with the withdrawal. This whole pile on has turned me off from the project altogether.

A regretable outcome, I actually thought the idea had potential. I hope to see this come up again at some point in the future.

just for the sake of MSC bureaucracy:
