[HPI] Expansion
Name & Title: Díapaza Bréidle, Crown of Passio-Corum, Empress of the Sea of Storms, Priestess of Agripinilla
E-Mail/Contact: Here,Discord
Nation: Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union
Claim:
Notes: Fort Carol was originally claimed as a Passasian territory in October of 2009. This expansion serves several major purposes. First of all, it serves to bring the last remaining unclaimed/abandoned Pallisican settlement back into the fold of the HPI. After this, there are no more cities or territories which can be claimed on this basis, or for this reason. Secondly, it helps to solidify Bassarid political influence and military control over the critically important Captive Sea region. Finally, it allows Bassarid shipping, moving from southern Keltia to Passas, to bypass Wechuan roadblocks, which currently serve to limit the movement of goods along the Trans-Keltian Railway. With this expansion, goods can now be shipped from the Port of Fort Carol, rather than needing to move through the unclaimed and politically contentious eastern shores of the Captive Sea. With respect to activity, the HPI experienced a relative downturn over the past few months, but recently has surged with the addition of lots of new, high quality artwork, with political changes with respect to the Council of Courts, and with updates to the New Zimian War League (which is still actively engaged in operations in Kota Baru) and the Stripping Path. This will likely mark the last major expansion not only of Tanah-Baru, but in Keltia in general.
