Why do you say it's depressing?

It's the color scheme.

Damn, well it wasn't my intention to produce something depressing :/.

It almost looks like one of those maps they use in movies to show tyrant-nations conquering peaceful ones.

Re: Maps, Maps, Maps
It is a slightly depressing colour scheme, but I do quite like the underlay of the physical map on the political map. Nicely done

Re: Maps, Maps, Maps
I'd like to present the maps of Austbard and Høgmårk.
They haven't the elegance of some of yours here, but unfortunately I can't work with vector graphic.

I refuse to believe that you made that without vector graphics! It's too good!

Re: Maps, Maps, Maps
Yes, I've made it without. Every damn pixel with my own hand and 'PaintShop Pro'.
I've not a clue how to work with those vector programs.
Converted from PaintShop into .png format gives the picture maybe a wrong impression - on the face of it, but if you put it nearer, maybe you can see the pixels (look at the signs for 'mountain' f.ex.).
But of course I like it, when things turn out well, thanks.

Because if it's open for registering, the spambots attack it immediately. I have better things to do than remove hundred of bloody spammers in the membership list every day. I won't have them there. Basta.Carl wrote: Also why is the Høgmårk forum closed?
If I don't keep them under observation, it could be thousand of them finally. One thing is a mystery for me: I thought that their registering goes automatically - how do they circumvent the captcha hurdle??
Therefore I have inserted following sentences in the PHM and AUS forum:
"Registration disabled. The spammers make it necessary! Please contact the Admin for an Account".
The admin's email adress you'll find at the bottom of the fora in "Impressum".
Høgmårk has a special sector for english participants.
Please only register if you really want to participate for a few times or more (the more, the better ).
"Zero-members" get removed after three months.
