That's an awesome map, Ryan! I've always wanted to be able to do fantasy maps like that.

Well, and I need to update these links, as co.cc went down, presumably permanently.

If you encounter any link which starts with republikainterlandu.co.cc, just substitute the domain with interland.tk and it should work. I do not guarantee, but it seems these are on the server :)

A simple remake of Claims Map. A new style of countries, administrative and regional capitals along with a bit toned colour scheme. I might do it with more countries later, but it's all for now.

Very nice scheme. I like that it's still eminently editable, as a Paint 'n' Pixel-based map, unlike the GSO and Quetzal whose downfall was the fact that they could only be edited by certain people.

I've been following the guidelines of map being able to be edited by everyone, but with addition of country name tags I've abandoned one [distinct] colour - one nation rule. The colours are still a bit different (usually by 5 units on HSV scale), but are "grouped" on the colour wheel, to look as if the map followed four colours rule (there are six on the map actually, although there's proof that it can be done with four).

Love it! Would be great to get this integrated into the full claimsmap :D

I'll just need a few spare hours - to get the palette look as it should and to replace symbols step by step. I could use a script, but during works with fullsized map I've noticed that a) Shireroth's gold of cities is nearly the same as Babkha's of territory, b) Even those vary, as Shireroth currently uses at least six different shades of gold. Too much for automation. Not to mention various reds and yellows. The range of what people consider black is so big that even GIMP's colour select tool doesn't notice all the 'black' pixels using default settings.

By the way, the half-transparencies are not layered or so, but are just the same colour with 50% less value (two times closer to black). So it might be considered a one-layer map. I know it's not a reason to boast, but I think it might help to show people that anyone could edit it.

Low-res version of the map I am working on. Title says: Cibola - Continent of the Heavenly Light.

New map of Cibola and Nelaga can be found here in normal resolution, lowres sample below:

I still have to include the recent changes in the Treisenbergian territories. It still shows the former micronations of Alexandria and Wadonstol as Purple Horde and Pink Tribes respectively.
