Anyone remember the old Council of Free Nations that used to be about on Giess to counter Katyushan communism?
Well, its back (minus Babkha and Lovely and a number of other original members) and based in Los Santos, Alexandria.

Well, its back (minus Babkha and Lovely and a number of other original members) and based in Los Santos, Alexandria.
Its pre-amble states:
In light of the formation of the Raspur Pact, the Harmonious Society doctrine of Babkha and its vassals in Jingdao and Ocia, the new Council is most likely going to stand as a bulwark for democracy.A spectre haunts Micras. The spectre of autocracy. It stalks lands from Benacia to Keltia, cursing societies and peoples with a rejection of those most fundamental, sacred values which have risen our nations from the hell of anarchy and lawlessness. The rights of the individual are sacred, and equality before the law- for those ruled and those who rule- are the hallmarks of a truly harmonious society. For a government which cannot trust its people can never deserve the trust and faith of its citizens. A government with no faith in its people is a government with no faith in itself. Autocracy poisons nations, clouds judgement and grinds to a halt the cogs in the mechanism of government.
A community of nations which rejects the rights of those is a community in whom we see no legitimacy. The radiant suns and petty autocrats of the old world may dazzle with their ill-gotten gains but the people are not blind to their excesses. It is time to break free from the behemoth, to stand on our own two feet and face full on the challenges of leadership, the challenges of democracy. We stand fast against the autocrat, we stand fast against the kleptocrat, we stand fast against the technocrat in the name of our citizens and their natural dignity. Through the agency of the state, the people achieve their collective goals, fulfil their dreams and aspirations. A state which has become their nightmare can have no basis in legitimacy.
We stand today as liberty's witnesses, the voices of our citizens calling us to stand, stand fast, and defend what we hold dear:

Bull is the first syllable, wark isn't the second.
Re: Council of Free Nations re-constituted
It disappoints me that 'Freedom' is foolishly predicated on 'Democracy.' In a democracy the people can choose to enslave themselves, but they are not necessarily free by virtue of being in a democracy. Uantir is the most libertarian place on Micras, and it does that by not being democratic.

About time! It's been nagging me for over a year when this actually was going to finalized. The Miramar Conference pre-dated the Raspur Pact you know :p
