Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
The Leadership Award is named after Erik? Can we rename it? I'm just thinking back to his recent reign in Shireroth and wondering how he ever got an award for leadership named after him...

Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
As I said, I don't have a lot in the way of nominations.
I'd like to second the nomination of the Batavian Post for the journalism award, and, if it indeed still qualifies as a 'new idea,' second Hesam's nomination for Meekras.
Additionally, I'm going to self-nominate (I don't do this often, but part of the point of writing the damn thing was to try and finally win this award) my story, Analis for the Literature award.

Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
I'd second the nomination of Gilles for the Economics award, of Gerk's story about Analis for the literature award (that was a seriously good and long story) and Anthrazita for the leadership award. I'll sit out of judging this year as I'm going to be on holidays and won't have reliable internet at that time.

Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
I would like to posthumously nominate Kolya Radchenko for the Erik Mortis Award for Leadership and the Shane Odlum Award for Overall achievement.
It’s been almost a year since Kolya left us, but his deeds are immortal. He was at my side during the great crucible of the Patriotic War Against Fascism and his do or die spirit invigorated Ocia to crush the invading fascist armies in a single blow.
Having endured the perils of Micras’ history of tyrannical hegemony; Kolya’s legacy has become the bulwark of the anti-imperialist movement that has defended self-determination and freedom on many levels.
I would like to also propose the creation of the Kolya Radchenko Award to recognize those who face adversity or challenges despite overwhelming odds.
Lastly, I would like to nominate the Ocian Defence Forces for the Jeremy Bellamy Award for Literature for the composition of the lyrical poem, “Ode to our General Radchenko”.

Erik Morris Award for Leadership: I nominate Matt Kovac for his outstanding leadership. He has kept the Ocian Federation alive through times of inactivity and always helped his citizens when they needed him.

Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
Actually, Arne's been a fantastic new addition to the community - I'll admit the only reason I didn't nominate him was because it feels like he's been around longer!Erwin V.H. wrote:In fact, I think just the enitre Dutch sector support this nomination.
Also, sod it, I'll be cheeky and self-nominate myself for Overall Achievement 'cause Craitland's anniversary reminded me how long I've been around and what I've actually managed to do in that time...
Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
I heartily second the Shane Odlum for Craitman (I was saving that nomination but I can't think of anyone more deserving!)
