I wanted to visit the new victorian website http://www.newvictoria.org today but it seems that the website is off air. Anyone knows if they have a new one?

I haven't heard a think from them since they brought up the New France sister nation. They haven't responded to the conversation we've been having in the Uantir forums for a minute either.

that's a shame, I just became a citizen there and I liked the format. If they are inactive I would love to go on with the nation. If someone from New Victoria reads this, please pm me.

A real pity indeed. At first I thought it was just some technical problem, but now that several days have passed without any news I'm becoming pessimistic.

Well, let's wait and see. Perhaps someone just forgot to pay for their server this month, plus its been the holidays. Would suck for this fellow to disappear just as we commend his as the most promising micronation!

We are experiencing some rather complex and unexpected website issues. Our site is theoretically in-tact, but for some reason the URL is not directing to our webhost. Our web hosts seem to be rather slow at responding to the issue.

Naturally, this has the more conservative MPs riled up, some of whom feel that our nation was more efficient offline. The MPs are discussing this further in person over the weekend. There is a very real possibility that New Victoria and New France will be, by constitutional referendum, made to be offline states. Of course, we would have to issue Royal Assent, but one typically follows one's Council and Parliament, so we will see what happens.

Concerning Uantir: My brother has seen your messages. We respect your decisions, but we will remain obdurate concerning religion. It may interest you to know, however, that New France will have no state-established religion, (although the English language will be disallowed in its entirety, except to diplomats).

It would be a shame for New Victoria to return to the offline realm given the positive impact you've had online so far. If it's reliable hosting you need, send me a PM, I have lots of databases for sites/forums/etc and space available on the RIMA website and the new host that I moved to a few months ago is extremely reliable. All it would take is for you to change the nameservers on your domain and you'd be in business, although you would need to get the databases off your old host to restore those posts on the forum.

It would be a shame for New Victoria to go offline, especially since you've gained some new online citizens who likely won't be able to follow suit.

It would be a shame for New Victoria to go offline before I got a peek of it. :P

Or a chance to shame it in the Batavian Post. :P

It would appear that it is back, in a way. If I use a proxy, I can access it, but I can't from my regular IP. Any ideas? Also, at least one month worth of posts is missing.

Thank you, Liam, for the most kind offer. I'm hoping not to have to transfer, but I may take you up on it if this problem persists. My hosting has always been reliable, so this is a bit of a shock.

Liam,

I have tried to send you a private message, but it is saying that I cannot because you have "disabled private message receipt". Could you perhaps send me a private message answering the following questions:

-How much space could we have about?
-How much bandwidth?
-Would we have any type of cPanel access at all?

Thank you!!
