Did your intelligence agencies know that the ship was on route to your territory? If so, did they know the nature of the ship's mission? Judging by your reaction, the answer to both questions is no. The fact is that your government (or lack thereof) allowed a potentially hostile ship into your harbor, without so much as a second guess.
We both know who boarded the ship while it controlled your city's harbor. Do you know who disembarked? Something tells me that you have no idea.

It would seem highly unlikely that information like that be shared with the Heavenly Reporter, even if he is the best reporter we have ever seen.

So even your best reporters are mediocre? Is that what you're saying? Or are you referring to the shoddy lines of communication which exist in your country?

The Heavenly Reporter is not a Jingdaoese government official.Duke Sinclair wrote:So even your best reporters are mediocre? Is that what you're saying? Or are you referring to the shoddy lines of communication which exist in your country?

What difference does it make? Whether he's a government official or not, the egg is on your face and everyone sees it.

Coprieta Standard updates
Hmm, or open a new topic, of course. Not sure what the Duke's problem is: his people are thanked for their services to the Heavenly Crown, while their Brettish brethren did absolutely nothing!joefoxon wrote:Let's not hijack the thread here. This is for Coprieta Standard updates, if you want to comment on the articles, go to the comments section.
(Not really sure what boarding a ship or allowing potentially hostile ships in a harbour has to do with it, but alas, I'm just a simple journalist!)

If your crown's thanks were worth a single cockroach, I would have already traded them in.

Re: Coprieta Standard updates
You could open a new topic, but then we'd still have to moderate it His problem from what I've gathered seems to be the suggestion that Hamland are somehow aiding in the killings by shipping people out, a suggestion which really doesn't make sense to me.
With regards to the hostile ship, it seems as though the Jingdaoese government didn't give a damn that a Hammish ship had entered their territorial waters, potentially putting their own citizens at risk of attack for the sake of pursuing some insane policy of ethnic cleansing. To me at least, Duke Sinclair's comments seem to be saying 'get your shit together'.

Ahh, these headlines remind me of when I was getting 'slammed' by Ocia for shooting down rockets they were flying over our airspace.
I am glad the Jingdaoese are happy to see those who escaped their slaughter now have liberty in the Commonwealth. Hopefully they will be equally happy when the rest of their citizens are liberated .
If it is possible to defend our line; we have taken a clear approach to the conflict which has been to publicly state opposition, support refugees and monitor dissatisfaction against Jingdao. It seems that the media think that the only action we should be taking is military, which is certainly not the case. There are more ways than bombing people to apply pressure on a government! If they weren't worried about the support we have against them then they wouldn't be trying to create an alliance to support their genocide. So although we've not changed their regime, we have applied pressures.
I apologise if your thread being highjacked somewhat. At least people are interacting with your news!

I assume that you're well aware which meaning 'liberated' has in Jingdaoese eyes?Gordoth wrote: I am glad the Jingdaoese are happy to see those who escaped their slaughter now have liberty in the Commonwealth. Hopefully they will be equally happy when the rest of their citizens are liberated .

I've split the topic so that we don't lose the relevant posts in the Coprieta Standard thread.
