[New forum] Layout of forum
The general agreement seems to be that the MCS would become a sub-forum of the forum index (along with the other bodies; so what else should
Do we keep the "Simulation" category, seeing as the only forum that has been used is the economics board? See *
What about bodies that aren't part of the MCS but are for Micras nations only? Do they still need this restriction?
The following is, of course, just an idea.

Anunia Convention Discussion
Apollo Foundation
Fédération Micraise de Sport
International Centre for Micropatriology

Micronational Language Institute
Micrasian Meteorological Agency
Micronational Speech Society

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
Should a complaints section be added to the administration section perhaps?
I like to think that if people have problems with things, they will raise it in a complaints board and it can be dealt with, but I don't think this actually happens, as when you get to talking to people they tend to have complaints they haven't expressed, regardless of complaints board or not, so yeah, this post expresses a point, then explains why it's wrong. This means I don't know.
It might be a good idea to have some way of regulating the organisations section, to prevent it bloating, perhaps a rule of "no posts in X days/months means being moved to a section for less active organisations?

Added "Complaints/suggestions" to the administration category.
Yeah, an activity rule for organisations might be an idea, but those like the MSS continue ad infinitum.

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
I was suggesting they all continue forever, but that if inactive they're moved to an inactive but still running micronational organisations category, so as to reduce clutter
Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
I like Guido's list. Though I don't see why we can't just call it "Micronational Organizations" for a category.
I also suggest that we list the forums in "organizations" alphabetically. It will make it look less like we're making certain ones preeminent and present a more professional layout.
It may be a good idea to add an "Archive" forum to the administration section so we can archive obsolete forums and thereby reduce additional clutter. And can we not make complaints/suggestions a subforum of this one, or would that be too out of view?

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
MITO really doesn't need a forum anymore, I've just about given up on that form of mcironational trade and nobody besides the initial key traders (like Nathan) has been seriously interested in it for over a year.

Feel free to borrow any of the names used on the old MNN forums for the general subforums , like Microhub did, if you're feeling a bit nostalgic.

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
@Ryan: I like the idea of calling the organi(s/z)ations section Micronational Organi(s/z)ations as you said, not sure why that wasn't already done, lol
Alphabetically would be best for the organisations yeah.
Archives was something I like guido simply forgot about, in administration section might be best, yeah
I like the idea of having complaints as a subforum of forum administration, that would be good
@Siriain: I don't know if we really want to be copying MNN too much though...

Micronational Astronomy Society is included in any of the said forums?

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
But is it part of the MCS, or do we want to separate it off? We've separated off MITO and MMA, even though they're Micras-specific.

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
I wasn't sure whether the MAS is now independent from the MCS?
I did alphabetical, but put the MCS at the top because I thought people might complain - but if you're complaining to the contrary, that is great!
I don't see why complaints can't be for the whole hub, as opposed to just the forum?
The title was supposed to be "Organisations", but I managed to miss the s for some reason!
I like the idea of using the name of the Norton Lounge, but I think the others sound a bit throwback-ish.

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
I think we should separate MAS from the MCS. It has a separate staff after all.
Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
I think another good idea could be to choose a RecWar convention this organisation will officially affiliate itself with (seems like Anunia at the moment) and host more than a discussion of the convention but a full-time RecWar forum where former RecWars can be held for historical records.

Re: [New forum] Layout of forum
I can't say I see the point in "affiliating" solely with one ruleset. The forum can still host non-Anunia wars.
