Some ideas for MicrasWiki

Re: Some ideas for MicrasWiki
Right, I've just completed articles on Tellia, Aerlig and St.Fenix and have just started them for Xinguo and Karnali. The Grand Commonwealth and Non-Aligned Movement are shortly to follow.
Sadly many nations I tried to research will probably never make it onto MicrasWiki unless someone has a huge hard drive full of information about them. Talamthom, Angsax, Mayo, Red Antilles, Charlotta, Chinese Soviet Republic, Alteria, are all nations with very scant information about them which simply isn't enough to piece together an article from. The longer we wait to do other dead nations, the closer we get to their forums and websites being deleted and all information about them being lost.
Do you want your Micronation to end up like Mayo or Alteria? Write it up! Join MicrasWiki!
*ahem*
If anyone else wouldn't mind giving me some help with this that'd be excellent; it's really a lot of work to research these dead nations and even more work to write them up in the Wiki. Since MicrasWiki is a resource for the entire Sector I'd hate to think I was the only one interested in developing it.

I've been having a read at some of your articles and I'd like to thank you for all the hard work you've put in Max.
Re: Some ideas for MicrasWiki
Cheers. I'm prioritising on the deaddest of the dead at the moment, as their forums and websites could go at any time and we'd have lost everything. Many nations, namely T'aishen, Alteria (a former Grand Commonwealth nation, so quite a big loss there) Chine, Lemuria, Katyusha, Rambai, Korhal, Eblis, Lach Glacei, Sangun, Taesong, The Corporation, and the PRH are all gone and many more have a few forums remaining but so scant and with so many broken links they're unsalvagable.
The articles on very large, established nations such as Babkha and Shireroth are revealing in showing the extent to which MicrasWiki needs work done on it. I'm changing my approach to MicrasWiki and have instead started just filling out the nation infoboxes so that other people can expand on those articles if they wish. Wachensburg, Karnali, Ayllu, Kampong, Hatay, and Aerlig currently fall into that category.
One thing I'm not prepared to do is to write articles for currently active Micran nations. I don't mind salvaging info for articles about dead nations or nations I'm involved in but people should be contributing to MicrasWiki of their own accord- at the end of the day it's actually in their long-term interests if they want people to view their nations as professional and for their accomplishments in this sector to be preserved and commemorated.

Re: Some ideas for MicrasWiki
Have you tried the geocities archives i made:
http://dr-spangle.com/Archives/Apollo-sites/
They're not great, lost a lot.
They've moved there now, from my local server, so it's faster.
And, since the originals don't exist, they don't count as backups
[POSTBOX]
Factuality: dr-spangle.com is certainly faster.
Opinions: I don't think they're great
Joking: Not very high
Emotion:
Spelling & Grammar: High, maybe 100%
Research Sources: None but that link i spose?

Cheers Spangle!
Very useful indeed- though you do seem to have a fair few non-Micran nations there such as Lyoksha.
If anyone's interested I've finished an article on Chi Nam. I'm going to try and complete the 'Asian Sector' of micronations first- Kampong and Xinguo mainly although if I can find forums and/or boards for T'aishen and Taesong I'd be able to do them too. Then I'll try and do something nice and concise for Matbaa.

Craitman, have you been able to design that MicrasWiki logo with the globe and text?
I'd also like it if someone could give me the necessary powers to edit the MicrasWiki front page to include information about WikiWeek and a page about Wiki etiquette.

Oops, sorry- I meant Cairney.
Still, if someone could grant me the necessary privileges to edit the MicrasWiki front page you'd be an hero.

Re: Some ideas for MicrasWiki
The next articles to be done will be for the MX2 and MMES.
If anyone has info on the MX2 system (history, how it worked) I'll include it in the article.
After that will be the Laqi Free Republic and finally a complete article on Matbaa. That'll be a tough one.
And someone please tell me who this user Taurusrex is on MicrasWiki WHO IS STEALING MY WIKI THUNDER WITH ALL HIS NEW ARTICLES?!
Tell him to watch out. I have powerful friends:

Re: Some ideas for MicrasWiki
Great!
Actually I'll feature it on the front page if I can work out how- maybe that way other people will write nice long articles for their MNs.

SaiKar the article on Nelaga is now featured on the MicrasWiki front page. Feel proud.
And Cairney thanks for the logo but sadly I don't seem to be able to edit the necessary file to display it, which I think is LocalSettings.php.
