I'm trying to start some discussions with the MicroWikians. They seem to be having space problems (the site does run awfully slow sometimes), and they seem to feel a "cold shoulder" coming from this direction.

I am wondering about the possibility of co-operation, perhaps starting on a technical level. Is there someone who can talk to them about their space issues?

I'd guess Spangle's the person to talk to about that - he is the "hosting guy", after all

Oh, and whilst talking to them, he should try and reäffirm that we welcome all micronations and micronationalists to the forum, and that both our shoulders are warm and snug

We can certainly welcome them to this sector if they're willing to return our friendship (some of the meetings we've had with seccessionists have been quite unsuccessful), but MicrasWiki is, well, MicrasWiki.

They have a large wiki for seccessionist micronations at their disposal, MicrasWiki should remain for Micran nations or at the very least simulationist ones. We're all that's left of the Anglophone simulationist sector and the Wiki is a record of the history of the Micran community and its micronations- to offer our resources to the Archduke of Herpderpastan when he has MicroWiki is a waste of our resources and could result in a Wiki flooded with articles about nations none of us really care about.

This isn't me being confrontational towards the seccessionists, it's just accepting that whilst we should by all means have a good relationship with them, our community and its resources are our own and they should respect that, much as we would respect the integrity of a seccessionist Wiki to remain for seccessionist micronations.

The dream is the same. Although for three 14-year olds seceding their grandad's farm (on the web!) being considered more "serious" than the saga that was Cyberia makes me question the definition of "serious".

They need to re-draw Earth to reflect their various claims, that'd be fun.

Don't stop saving articles, just only save those about Micras and the MCS; there are some really good ones on there like the article on the Apollo Sector I put into MicrasWiki.

Good, cuz they sure as hell give us one. I don't like the lack of interaction, but they think we're all a bunch of roleplayers and I know they're a bunch of kids that are going to drop their one-man states the second real life gets too tough.

I would, as always, be more than happy to offer them hosting if space is becoming an issue for them.
