Re: Urgent Request
I've a better idea- why doesn't Matt write another article on the war and when he's finished we'll have a vote to see which one is better qualified to serve as a historical record of the Amokolian War for future years.
Now that would be exceedingly democratic.

Re: Urgent Request
Any sensible person would agree that someone who maintains ashkenatzi citizenship and has shown in the past to have a personal problem with both me and radchenko could not be a neutral judge in a war between ashkeantzi and Ocia its common sense.Guido Zambelis wrote:Kovac, your BS about me being biased is moderately acceptable in the course of the war, but to keep it up afterwards is thoroughly unprofessional.
Also, if the article is so horribly biased, change it - that's what wikis are for...
Hey there's another fair and forward thinking proposal, you could decide the winner . The article achieves its purpose of being an interesting read while documenting some facts about the war, after-all Churchill did say that 'history is written by the victors'. I am well within my right to have reservations about the article and I do believe that some parts of it are overly ashkenatzi centric but then again I don't expect you to agree with the account that Ocia will have.Maximos wrote:I've a better idea- why doesn't Matt write another article on the war and when he's finished we'll have a vote to see which one is better qualified to serve as a historical record of the Amokolian War for future years.

oh. So we did win then?after-all Churchill did say that 'history is written by the victors'.
Re: Urgent Request
Actually, Matt, Guy applied for Ashkenatzi citizenship on October 21st, two weeks after the Amokolian War ended by forced peace on October 7th. If you do have genuine accusations of bias against Guy then I suggest that you take that up with him personally- though I fear you would have accused any judge who didn't let Ocia tear up the entire Anunia rulebook to win the war 'biased'.
I agree completely that the article may well be Ashkenatzi-centric- but that's entirely understandable as I fought in the war for Ashkenatza. However, I categorically refuse to falsify history and portray the war's abrupt ending as being a result of Ocian military tactics- it wasn't. It also wasn't a result of Ashkenatzi nor Antican military tactics. It was a result of your refusal to adhere to the terms and conditions under which you agreed to operate as a participant in the RecWar. When it became clear that Ocian forces would not simply be allowed to be invincible, you withdrew from the war and banned any Ocian commanders from fighting in it anymore. Even if Ocian forces did have some fantastically well-planned counterattack planned which for all I know could well have forced us out of Lucern and Alpinska, it was your own intransigence which stopped it from being enacted.
You had the opportunity to fight to the bitter end, but you threw a tantrum and refused to because things weren't going as you planned. Ironically, your behaviour in the Amokolian War has probably gone quite a way to reinforce your ridiculous view of your nation as completely invincible, only because nobody wants to war with you and have to deal with your insufferable and shameless rule-breaking (i.e. the extra 9000 for the Ocian Air Command you refused to remove and your super-special Ocian Gripen variant with the unlimited ammo and fuel).
I hear your criticism about the article being too focused on Ashkenatza and will do my very best to remedy the situation- in order to do that I will need to do more research on how other powers viewed the conflict at the time by looking at the forums of every participant nation, including Ocia's if you don't mind.
Nonetheless however much I do, however praiseworthy I am of Ocia's war effort, it will never be enough for you.
You won't stop whining until you get a perfectly crafted propaganda piece which amounts to nothing less than a historical falsehood, and I refuse to do that for you.
We clear? Cool.

Matt, if it bothers you that much, edit the bloody wiki article.

Well max, considering the fact that the war was for many of us our first, I'd say that your rather snide comments about us having tantrums and wanting to be invincible (such statements were only reserved for our own personal forums to increase morale) are disingenuous, I always save the propaganda itself for Ocia's personal records not for the public domain.

Sorry, nearly laughed myself sick at that. Not pleasant.I'd say that your rather snide comments about us having tantrums and wanting to be invincible (such statements were only reserved for our own personal forums to increase morale) are disingenuous, I always save the propaganda itself for Ocia's personal records not for the public domain.
What were you saying?

Re: Urgent Request
For Ocia's personal records I do a propaganda version, for Something like Micraswiki I do a more neutral version..
