I'm xposting this here on behalf of my Haifan alter-ego.

I will update the map fairly regularly, as the need arises. Eventually, if there's enough interest in this, other islands will also become available for settlement.
If you're interested in buying lots, please respond in this thread. Or even better, please respond here:New Zimia Settlement Corporation
Nearly overwhelmed by an increasingly large population, the government of the Wallis Islands has decided to open the island of New Zimia to settlers. Settlement of the island will be regulated by the New Zimia Settlement Corporation, which will act as a subsidiary of Wallis Islands Investment Firm. This thread will serve as the corporation's official catalog.
New Zimia
Situated only a few miles to the Southeast of the regional capital, New Zimia is the third largest island in the Southern half of the Wallis Islands Archipelago. Scarcely larger than six square miles, the island is divided into two distinct sections: one main larger island, separated by rich marshlands from a second, smaller island to the Northwest, known locally as Little Zimia. The larger island is divided through the middle North to South by an expanse of swamp land surrounding the Evai River, which leads North to South before depositing into the South Orressor Channel. At the center of the island there is a small, shallow lake, where legend holds that pirates of days gone by have buried treasure. This lake divides the main island's northern and southern sections.
This map highlights each of New Zimia's five distinct regions. The area highlighted in pink is Little Zimia. This small island is covered in a thick forest of bamboo and banana trees, and is home to many types of tropical birds. Portions if the island are susceptible to flooding, including the Northern and Eastern sections of the island, which sit barely above sea level. Certain fruits can be grown in the rich soil here, as well as rice and other similar grains.
Immediately to the East of Little Zimia, the area highlighted in purple is known as the Northern Lowlands. Geographically this area is divided into two sections: the mainland and the Spire Peninsula. The mainland section of the Northern Lowlands are slightly rockier than the island Little Zimia, especially as one ventures inland towards the Evai river valley, which scientists believe might actually have been formed as a result of an ancient earthquake. It is believed that Spire Peninsla, which juts out into the East Haifan Sea, was formed by the same earthquake.
South of the Northern Lowlands, the Evat Bay region is the one highlighted in yellow. Here, the Evai River empties into the South Orressor Channel. In addition to the extraordinarily rich soil in this area, luxurious beaches can be found dotting the coastline. Rumors abound that there is oil off the coast of the Evai Bay region, but such claims have thus far been unsubstantiated. More pragmatic potential investors in the region have noted the proclivity of the area's soil to produce fine herbs and spices, of even higher quality than those produced on the island of New Abeis.
To the East of the Evai Bay Region, the area highlighted in green is known as the Green Lake Region, for the reason being that Evai Lake is located here. This region has long been coveted for its unique biodiversity. As the elevation increases towards the region's Eastern half, one finds a large swath of potential farmland ideal for the production of cotton and tobacco. In the Western half of the region, around Lake Evai, one finds land ideal for the production of cranberries and rice. This area of the Western Green Lake Region has long been the subject of fascination and mysticism. In addition to rumors of buried treasure, it has also been said that the swamps hide haunted, Riponian ruins.
North of the Green Lake Region, the area highlighted in blue is known as the Coral Channel Region. The area derives its name from the large coral reef which constitutes a substantial portion of the region's Northern half. Geographically, this area is very similar to the Eastern half of the Green Lake Region. Local lore holds that indigenous tribes built fishing settlements along the coastline of this section of the island. Indeed, the deep waters off the region's coast are home to a wide array of fish and other types of marine life.
